As a football fan, i love how they chose the most boring game of the playoffs this year to put on Nickelodeon
To be fair it’s not like they would know and the Bears played the Saints in the regular season and in went into OT.

Me too. I never really liked sports as a kid and basically stayed in my room when the super bowl happened. Then, I watched the puppy bowl when it first started to air. So I would watch that instead of the super bowl. Did the same thing this year.

Even as a kid, I preferred to watch sports over cartoons but I just watch it on channel that is more suited for it anyways.
They should really be looking to improve the content they have on their network than trying to reuse old content

Here in South Australia as a kid my family could only watch free TV so most channels catered to as many markets as possible, which meant immediately after the Saturday morning cartoons it was ALWAYS some kind of sports game, and yes... I channel surfed, lol.

Back when Kobe Bryant died, they where airing uncensored ESPN on Disney XD and the commentators where just there talking about his death.
A couple of years ago they also aired some E3 presentations on Disney XD and they had to try and censor it live.

I would always change the channel when the gaming block on Disney XD started sorry but Parker Plays and all the other people on there just weren't funny plus they never really talked about a large selection of games either from what I saw of it.

The only thing I remembered most about the Superbowl as a kid was the Pumbaa Bowl.
Also the live broadcast situation reminds me of the Disney XD situation where they broadcasted E3 and had to censor stuff.

I remember a undea2 video that talked about how a soccer game aired on cartoon network's mexican feed a long time ago. What we have in the US is the opposite. Here it's football instead of soccer. And instead of Cartoon Network Mexico it's Nickelodeon US.
I don’t blame streaming services for Nick, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel’s decline. I think it’s their crap shows. Even children are sick of it. Cheap, overly-simplified animation with lazy writing and overall horrible direction is gonna piss anyone off. Tell me any new crap has been good in the past 5-7 years on any one of these channels.
It's mainly because of other online streaming services. or just watching them on Kim cartoon. And also we're going into the subjective territory by that last statement.

I've always wanted to see some sort of sporting event on Nickelodeon because they have a unique setup with the silme and special effects. I also think it's cool and different.

I didn't get nickelodeon as a channel as a kid, only local tv but I know if football would have been placed in the middle of Sunday or Saturday morning cartoons I would have been so upset.
Wow big brain with this decision on nick and nfl. If this happened back when I was in the age demographic for the channel, id be watching something else or put on a movie while i played my snes. Any kid that might be in to the game is more likely to watch it with friends or family on the main channel than on nick. I can see this going well.

I think this is a great idea considering the fact that this isn't the first time they teamed up together like when they worked together because like you said man Spongebob was at the Super Bowl in 2019 after Maroon 5's show silly goose!! Plus it goes to show that it's beneficial for both companies because of how successful they both already are and how much money they will definitely (hopefully) make from this event man this will be the best thing ever for sure dude!
