Did you mention anywhere at all in your review the bed and sleeping experience? Also, do you believe Ritz Carlton beds or St Regis are better for sleeping cool at nights ?
@@gogotravelwithjosh my tempur pedic + duvet comforter make me sweat like crazy I can’t have both. I love my duvet cover tho so have been considering finding a cooler bed 😭
Marriott has brand standards that properties need to be renovated approximately ever 10 years. So when a hotel gets close to that mark they consider that to be outdated and have property do refresh. I prefer to always stay at new or recently renovated properties and this one for me was on the older side as it has not had a renovation since it’s opening about 13 years ago.
They are probably perfect value for that location. There is not a large luxury market. If they renovate they could price themselves out of the market. Conrad is only a few dollars more but it’s in a worse (for Dotonburi) location. So given the price and the current conditions and the area. Its new.
I’ve stayed at st.regis b4 not in japan at Hong Kong st regis. Stayed there last year can’t travel anywhere end up staycation had too many points from asia miles had ta redeem the points don’t for get their sabrage every night the traditional hk is every night at 5:30 and Macau it’s 6 pm

I honestly like both Ritz and St. Regis beds. For sleeping I always turn the air on like 67-69 degrees. Helps me sleep the best!

Sometimes the duvets are so thick, you might just have to find a thinner one otherwise just cool your room down more. Otherwise I’m not sure
