How can you not love the tobaccos produced by such a familial bunch of pipe and tobacco lovers?! Down to the ground, honest faces.. this makes me love the C&D tobaccos even more! ;-)
Union Square is one of my favorite straight Virginias and I love it right out of the tin the day I purchase it. However, and I hope this is not just my imagination, I have cellared Union Square for one to two years and my goodness, it seems to become even more flavorful than when it is fresh off the shelf. Thanks for creating some of the best pipe tobaccos I have ever encountered. I worked in and owned part of a Tinder Box back in the 1970's when high quality pipe tobacco was rarely processed in the U.S. These days there are a lot of players in your field but I still find my most satisfying experiences are with Cornell and Diehl land G.L. Pease.
Thanks for the educational, inside look at your production process! I love your tobaccos and now have a new appreciation for what it takes to blend, press and produce your fine product!
I love Union Square. When I can't get Gawith's FVF (which is almost always), this is my go-to. I recently aged some Union Square for 3 years, it's fantastic.
I would love to work for C&D Ive always worked in manufacturing and Food processing and C&D has been something of a dream job for me. I may never get there but I love to imagine myself being there
You make some amazing tobacco guys! Please think of your fellow pipe smokers in the UK, any plans to start making your tobaccos available here anytime soon?
So,awesome... would love to work for this company. And would be ready to work every morning. That for me is a dream job. To bad I live in Germany ☹☹. When the company what's to expand to Europe let me know I will be glad to work for ya'll. Take care and keep up the great work. Keep on pipin brothers and sisters. Later
Thanks C&D for all you do.. after the devastating loss of McClelland tobacco. . You guys are my go to for American blenders. . Of course I love all the European tobaccos but it is good to have some high quality baccy manufacturerd in the USA. Honestly C&D is pretty much the only American pipe tobacco manufacturer now..
Sutliff actually makes most of the private label blends in the country. People often look over them or bad mouth them without knowing they make some really good stuff. Not saying you do that at all. Take care brother
I had no idea it was made on such a small scale! I also assumed a machine puts the labels on the tins! So does G.L. Pease give you the recipe and you just make it? I wonder what is the relationship.
Union square is in my top 3 straight virginia blends and I know it is going to age wonderfully.. I have 2 pounds in my cellar and an 8oz tin to smoke now. Lol
Ive only had the chance to try their Tobacco once. I think it was called , Evening something it was really good but cant get it here in the Uk . With I could remember the name of it.
+Cornell & Diehl, Inc I was wondering what the oldest C&D blend is since it is mentioned in the video and if its been around that long it must be good and I need some
Is it normal to have the tobacco directly on the floor when sorting, touching it with your shoes? I know you guys have an intermittent mold problem, could this be one of the reasons?
So cool to see some young bunch of lads working on the tobacco.

So how much for an unsliced brick of Union Square?
LowPriceEdition I think it would be around $200-400 depending on its weight, in retail price that is.
This is a dream job I would move from California to do this haha
