Protoculture's here with a 'First Look' at Moog's super exciting venture into the world of VST plugins! In this video he checks out their legendary, collector-item Moogerfooger series of effects pedals, where seven have been released and can be used in your DAW.
These include the Low Pass Filter, Ring Modulator, Phaser, Delay, MuRF, FreqBox, and Cluster Flux, all ready and waiting to get your hands on!
Using a simple saw wave in ANA 2 and a pad sound, Nate goes through each of the plugins to see what they sound like checking out the controls available before looking at their unique CV feature - where you can cross modulate the different plugins with each other for some awesome effects.
An amazing set of effects with a classic, authentic analog sound and endless possibilities.
Exciting times indeed!

Excellent demonstration, thanks 👊
Well good thing I finally bought my hardware versions…but then again this will make travel easier;). Thanks dude
I am really hoping they start introducing vst synths. I've been waiting a long time...
There are 3 right now.
Those things sound awesomely good. My wallet is giving me harsh looks ...
Well part of this is not true. Both the Model15, Model D, and Animoog are in VST plugin form on Mac. I don’t know about Windows. But for effects this is their first time in effects plugins.
Mac only, and it's essentially a AUv3 running in a VST wrapper. This is their first proper cross platform, multi format plugin release.
Someone will probably tell me I stink but I have the hardware 101, 102, 103, 108, and the Control Processor. I had a feeling a few years ago they would stop making them so I got them for super cheap. Now they’re going for 10 times what I paid for them. The hardware just has this thing. Especially the drive circuits in the 101, 103 and 108. The control processor puts it all together. I wonder if they will model the CP as well.
delay freqbox and saturation are way different than hardware, lp is ok , the phaser flanger murf are acceptable.
I think softube would meka better moogerfoogers than Moog if they tried
@@liorsilverstein9802 I don’t know about that one. There’s a color with a Moog that even their own software doesn’t hit. The LP is good for subtle distortion and saturation. Use the filter very little, but the drive is gorgeous.
@@bysbox1 yeah agree
Is it me, or all of them introduce a lot of glitchy artifacts into the sound? I'm not really convinced... And that iLok...
