Even better than that, our Sun would burn out first even if every human alive all were attempting to fully map the entire galaxy together as a collective, even if all we did was land on every planet we see for just a few seconds. It's absurd just how big it is
Well, considering theres multiple galaxies, yeah... yeah...we will never know no mans sky 100%... im still baffled on how no mans sky and star citizen even function, let alone were coded and programmed..

The really mindblowing thing? Outside of a few scripted moments, the soundtrack is generated from atoms (riffs, sequences, fills...) provided by the composers so even as they play the game, they'll hear arrangements they have never heard before. That idea is just trippy!
I never knew I could enjoy grindy games until I started playing NMS. I can happily spend hundreds of hours just tooling around scanning and mining and exploring.

There's govornment, factions, etc, all run and created by players without a built in framework for it. these communities are so successful, that these factions are recognized as canon and some even have their emblems in the game.
Hey fun fact, there's like 18 quintillion planets in this game spanning across 255 (or 256 I can't remember correctly) galaxies. And if you were discovering all the planets one by one every single second, it would approximately take I believe 500+ billion years. Edit: Also, really excited to see you play this. Edit 2: The elements that actually exist irl will have their correct periodic table symbols. I'll also just edit this every time I want to fan girl over the game, if I continue to Edit 3: You can run into other people, you can run into people in space or on planets but you do need to make sure you are online, the main place you'll definitely run into people will be the anomaly and during expeditions. Edit 4: The creatures are procedurally generated out of a bunch of features that Hello Games has provided for the game, so if you end up playing the heck out of this you do end up eventually coming across creatures that look extremely similar if not the exact same (I tell myself that it might just be because you're in the same cluster of systems but idk) Edit 5: You can learn languages from 3 different races being, Gek, Korvax, and Vykeen as well as the language for the Atlas Edit 6: You'll occasionally see big ships fly through the atmosphere, those are called frigates, which are a ship that you'll find a lot in space around a freighter Edit 7: Most ships that you see flying about will most likely be npc ships which won't automatically start attacking you unless you attack them. There are also npc ships that are pirates that will try and rob you or sentinels that come and try and take your contraband or attack you because you hit them Edit 8: There isn't really an "end" game, since you can quite literally go on forever. You could consider end game to be going to the next galaxy which you then start all over in a brand new one every time until you reach the final galaxy being 255 or 256 Edit 9: Just to make things clear, just in case you might want to play No Man's Sky purely for this reason, You can discover Whole systems and planets, then upload it (Which I believe it uploads to some sort of server run by Hello Games) and those planets and systems are essentially branded with your username for all other players to see Edit 10: No need to worry about the atlas pass, there is no form of micro transactions in this game, the only thing you purchase is the game itself, all updates are free and the expeditions are also free. Some content is even community driven so all of the players work together towards an in game reward Edit 11: If you want you can play like an outlaw, my way of playing as an outlaw is just me flying about to all these other pirate systems (You can recognise them once you have a conflict scanner, they'll have a skull) and I just take their missions, either smuggling contraband into other systems or fighting other pirates. But eventually I obtained a title (which others have and can get) called "Lord of Plunder" (I swear I haven't seen others rock this title though)

I’ve been playing this game since 2016. I absolutely love watching new player reactions joining the game. Especially since the addition of worlds part 1. You mention in the video that you don’t usually follow quest lines. The beauty of the game is you can ABSOLUTELY play it as you want. There are quests that need to be completed to access new ships and your freighter for example. Other than that, play as you see fit. You want to be a farmer and grow crops, go ahead. You want to start a manufacturing facility to create high valued items for credits, do it. Maybe you want to hunt ships for your collection or even play as a pirate and finish those milestones, you totally can! Looking forward to your journey, there is plenty more you can do as well. Safe travels!
@@CrazyAjvar i tried it several times, but you have to use a xbox controller, which is kind of ridicilous for a VR game. After a while you start to take for granted that you fly from planet to space and back seemlessly, that you pulse between planets in mere minutes, that you can warp to entirely new and unique systems. Makes me appreciate those things a little more again

Beware of caves. You might end up lost.^^ Scanner upgrades raising the amount of money you get from analyzing. If you pickup the refiner, you get the fuel back. If you have space in your inventory. Btw plants and trees are good carbon sources. Get used to scan anything, it tells you what ressources it offers. There are often more than one ressource in a stone or plant. You can teleport from all stations to your basecomputer, your ship will be transported as well.
The overall end goal, if you follow the main quest line, is to reach the center of the universe. The scope of the game is massive. Everything is in real-time including traveling. If you run towards a point and it says it will take an hour to reach...it will take a literal hour of real time to reach. To give you a scope of one of the planets, a player recorded how long it would take for them to walk around the circumference of a planet and across about 4-5 days, it took them a total of about 26 hours, in real time, to travel by foot around a planet. The game has roughly 200+ different systems you can visit with an estimated 8 quintillion possible planets to see. I think someone did a rough estimate and figured it would take about 2 billion years, IN REAL TIME, to physically see every single thing there is to see in the game possible (go to every system/planet, catalog every plant/animal/mineral on every planet, etc.). This means there very well will be planets in the game that some players will see that others will never get to. And depending on your settings, you can see other players since the game is mostly online. I have rather crappy internet so most of the time, I usually only run into a player or two on the Anamoly, which is the in-game multiplayer hub. The only time I ever really see other players physically on other planets is if it is during one of the timed Expeditions. Though I have often came across other players bases while exploring multiple planets. There is also a PvP setting that you can toggle that allows you to have combat with other players so with that being a setting, you should be able to run into other players on planets/in space. But even still, it's pretty low just to randomly run into another player while exploring.

Two things, you can move the Base Computer using the build menu and select Move then can pick up and place else where. When need more than one craft item you can select how many before making them, as you were on PC i have no idea the key as i am PS5, I am day one player, and have thousands of hours play, current save is approaching 2000hrs, If you visit every planet ( for a second ) in the game and did not count time for any travel think it was 40-50 years real time
My new pastime has been watching new people reacting to no man’s sky. This has definitely been my favorite. You may look like Ryan Reynalds but you have the sense of humor and energy of Dane Cook. And for that you have earned a new follower. Keep up the good work.
You can also trade in your current multi tool to get a new one instead of buying it. Every space station has 1 available & you never know what you're gonna come across. I also recommend adding a translator to your suit. It lets you learn other languages faster. Its super satisfying going from feeling like an outsider to being able to connect with every npc you meet.

At first I would stick to the main missions to finish the tutorial. Once the game sets you free you won’t ever have to grind again because other players have made bases harvesting, gathering, or collecting pretty much anything. Just explore bases until you have all the resources you need.
You can run into anybody else who is playing in the same area but the odds of running into them outside of the Nexus or an expedition are quite literally astronomical.

This suddenly popped up on my feed and I'm like, "Jon Sandman played No Man's Sky? No way!" _AND_ there's more right there, ready to see! I'm grabbing the ice cream and binge watching ALL of this!
Me with 700 hours in the game smiling ear to ear watching the joy you’re experiencing
Love it in VR! I don’t think I would play it any other way now.
In the new updates you can find ransoms but it’s very hard because there’s infinite worlds and infinite amounts of constantly on the move people
I love watching new players d8scover this game and react to things that I haven't seen with fresh eyes in a long time... but you earned the like with SandGina lol
46:35 And that’s when he realized he landed his ship on a really tall mesa. 😆
Two things, you can move the Base Computer using the build menu and select Move then can pick up and place else where. When need more than one craft item you can select how many before making them, as you were on PC i have no idea the key as i am PS5, I am day one player, and have thousands of hours play, current save is approaching 2000hrs, If you visit every planet ( for a second ) in the game and did not count time for any travel think it was 40-50 years real time
Jon has barely even scratched the surface of this game lol
If your looking for endless content, this game will keep you busy 😆
First episode down and still in the tutorial. Lol love it. I'm 500 hours in. Loved it since launch.
My new pastime has been watching new people reacting to no man’s sky. This has definitely been my favorite. You may look like Ryan Reynalds but you have the sense of humor and energy of Dane Cook. And for that you have earned a new follower. Keep up the good work.
Appreciate that! Glad to have you! looks like I need to play some more No Man's Sky as well...Apparently there is A LOT MORE to learn hahah!
Please do more.
oh my god, i can't believe it. the last time i saw you, you were playing Minecraft and Ark and now you're playing one of my favorite game! its a good time to be alive
Omg... I never thought I'd see this day... The legend has entered the galaxy!!!
I love this vid & I hope for more! Your excitement is contagious! I love NMS & I still find new things in game! I love the 5.0 update & the new Expedition! You glitching through the building freaked me out! I never knew you could do that! Liked & Subbed! P.S. - 16/16/16 is ... IMPORTANT, the story will tell you eventually!!! Looking forward to the next vid!!!!
John you pulled me in with creat wars lol man the good old days but this game is great glad your play this now as the game deserves all the respect it's been getting as of late all you can do in it have fun traveler
16:49: "I wonder how long it would take to walk around a planet?"
Short Answer: There are different sizes of planets, small, medium and large, so the time differs.
Long Answer: ruclips.net/video/37LLoMI5obQ/видео.html
More of this!
This is my first time seeing your channel. I love this game and you have great energy. Subscribeed
Never seen your video before. But YES I need more of this chaos in my life.
Once you start getting missions from the space station you will build up more and more nanites and cash as you rank up. I put the rusted metal in the refiner for ferrite dust.
Love Jon reaction as a new player!
Hope you post more NMS Stuff!
"I heard that.. this is a woman's workd now.. and there's No Man's Sky right now" 🤣 bruh
As an long time traveller, its wholesome watching new players experience the game 😊
I am soo excited to see you playing NMS!
18 quintillion planets in the NMS universe. Less than 1% of just the Euclid galaxy has been discovered
👋First time watcher. I really enjoyed watching you discover this game. It's one of my favorites. I have all the easy options enabled because prefer a story mode game. I like to focus on exploration and filling my logs. But let's be honest I'm always looking for my next favorite Paradise planet.
I'm thinking about trying NMS, but I'm not a huge fan of survival games.
I admit I also want to see this guy's reaction to Star Citizen. Watching newbies play that is the best (so long as they have someone to answer their questions and help them out).
Hahaha, not Jon looking for Sodium as an “S” 😂, love you Jon!
S is the chemical symbol for Sulfur, if my recollection of high school chemistry is worth its NaCl.
Na, by the way, is from "Natrium," which is the neo-Latin word for the stuff.
@@ToABrighterFuture Nice Oneeee 🤣 , gosh I should of thought of that, I’m a little NaCly
@@charliebaumann753 Little Willy took a drink, and now he'll drink no more, for what he thought was H2O, was H2SO4.
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
He had a million of 'em...or is it a mole of 'em?
Welcome to the No Man’s Sky Universe!!
You’re just getting started! Lots to explore! Lots to discover, including an infinite number of planets! The main goal…SURVIVE!! Happy Mining!! 👏👍🛸🌎🪐
Off to the stars…💫⭐️
I just started last night and uts so cool seeing someone elses starting experience
Idk why but it's fun watching new players play this game
The buzz playing it for the first time has passed for me after 5.5k hrs but still keeps me coming back for mor So much being added all the time Shout out to HELLO GAMES. 256 galaxies to visit and 18.000.000.000.000.000.000 eg 18 quintilion planets you can land on and name what you like and others will see it was found by you and the name you called it.
Wait till bro reaches the space station! 😅💀
Newly subscribed. Please continue to play NMS! I enjoyed watching your reaction to this phenomenal game for the first time. The NMS community is amazing and the devs have created what I think is one of the best games of all time. You will not regret continuing to play, but you will become addicted, so you have been warned! 😊 I am looking forward to watching your next NMS play and I hope to catch you live. o7 traveler!
Guys I just started the game and there’s soooo many things to grind for I’m absolutely lost, any ideas what’s worth the grind in the beginning ?
For early game Whispering Eggs, Ancient Bones and scraping crashed ships are easy ways to get a lot of units and nanites... Refine the larval cores from whispering eggs for nanites
19:13 the shelter looks like a yellow farm tractor 😂
Playing No Man Sky in VR is mind-blowing expecially on PSVR2
I found you from your Pokemon TCG videos haha, just bought No Man's Sky as soon as the Autumn Sale dropped on steam! :D
Ok so Ryan Reynolds is playing No Man`s Sky now, thats amazing! LMAO
It is such a chill game dude, enjoy!!
Everyone starts on an undiscovered planet in an undiscovered solar system.
This game is so good.
Being a space pirate rocks.Blowing up freighters and their storage units a fast way to make some loot.we are talking millions of not 10s of millions an hour
Lowkey feels like a fever dream playthrough by ryan reynolds. This was fun, thanks. Upvote.
W stream. Enjoy the game! I'm at about 2k hours and still love it
47 minutes in and I'm wondering if anyone in the chat is going to tell him about the quick menu for recharging technology 😂
I had no idea you had already played this game before last night. No wonder you were so far ahead of me lol.
One thing you should know that's kept mark from playing undertale: Play the game blind. Learn as you go.
I’ve only watched a few minutes but I fukn love your energy! I can’t wait to get on my game ♥️😂
absolute favorite game
play it since 2019 love it
flying out the planet without load screens imagine that :)
I'm still playing with my first save game after over seven years
It’s funny how he seems to know exactly what he is doing
