Holy fuck I'm 35 hours in and the first tip already blew my mind. I've been starving for technology slots to add new modules but couldn't figure out where to get them.. I was just one click away.
If you like exploring use the drop pods. I may still have a base by a minor settlement that has a drop pod at the bottom of the steps going up to the base. I took my exocraft with an upgraded scanner and found a whole bunch of drop pods around the base. I used to also use the Minotaur with the upgraded scanner to find crashed ships on land and the Nautilon to find them underwater.
New player here in 2024. the tip about choosing which inventory slot you want to purchase was soooo clutch. would've spent my entire NMS career never knowing that haha. cheers!
Wait until he finds out that your inventory has more space than just whats on the first screen. You can keep adding slots until you have to scroll your inventory.
HAHA totally! Fortunately I figured out early on to spend the majority of my collected nav data on loads of the drop pod exosuit upgrade star charts from cartogrophers. Whenever I'm not actively engaged in something and I'm on a decent planet, I'll just farm pod after pod. Only up to 70-something inventory slots and 20 or so tech slots so far, but it's made the early game soooooo much easier tbh!!! You can easily add a whole row or two in relatively little time
@@leftcoastfunkit’s a lot easier to just buy the expansion upgrades when you warp to new systems and go to their space stations. Unless you don’t warp a lot. I jump systems all the time trying to collect as many 3 star economies as I can 😘😘
@@God-w- yeah i realized that too a while after I wrote the comment L O L. I hadn't been playing long yet and was still having fun just exploring every single planet in every single system I visited so hadn't done much warping yet
Also Everytime you warp to a new system you can buy 2 slot upgrades. One in the space station and one in the space anomaly. I been playing since the game came out if anyone has questions.
had to say the community in no mans sky are one of the best. when i was starting a week ago some dude just dumped hundreds of milyons worth of different items in my inventory lol its an easy walk for me now thank you good sir/mam!
I learned this one years ago and was surprised that my daughter and son-in-law hadn't heard of it. If you press melee attack just before taking off with your jet pack, you get a much faster travel speed.
@@DavidStebbins that's a remnant from the old speed bug. Back in the day, if you spammed melee and boost you could achieve massive speed and traverse huge distances in the blink of an eye. As long as you don't hit anything on the way..... It hurts😂
I always buy Uranium at stations as its cheap and you can fuel your ships thrusters with it, you will never need the take off fuel then just use uranium.
Better yet, install the launch thrusters recharger so they refuel themselves when landed. Sentinel ships are also great since all the tech recharges with Radiant Shards, so it's the only fuel you need.
@@jayedson3408 That's one reason I started getting the solar ships when they was added. Plus a pointed nose solar ship is really nice looking. On my new saves I do tend to make my first warp to a dissonant system and get me a nice Sentinel ship. I love that they hover and I can make a lot of early game units scrapping them.

Around the 8:15 mark you mention that Chromatic material is very useful and valuable. That's the understatement of the century, it's one of the most obnoxious things to keep producing. BUT, here's my trick I really wish I knew when I started (and/or remembered when I start playing again) : Copper is not the only source of Chromatic you can use. In fact, it's the worst one. The *moment* you have the ability to do so, get yourself a Cadmium drive, go to a red system, grab yourself some Cadmium. Stick *that* into a refiner and suddenly you have a lot more Chromatic! Even better, keep some cadmium, make an Emeril drive, get some Emeril, make even MORE Chromatic. And obviously, you guessed it, the Indium drive gets you Indium which provides something like (from memory, I might be wrong) 2x or 3x Chromatic as you have Indium. Small mining beam on an indium patch and you definitely won't be wanting for Chromatic anytime soon. Bonus tip: Apparently, the Indium drive can also replace both Cadmium and Emeril drive so you can just keep the Indium and recycle the other ones. Yay!
Want a lot of chromatic metal use the large refiner with indium, gold, and silver for 30X chromatic metal. You can also get indium and emeril in the starter system. If you don't mind reloading the game you can get it a lot faster.
Getting more inventory or technology slots is one of the main goals early game. I would always load up on technology first to get your Exosuit fit for purpose. It's worth mentioning that the first time you go to any space station you will be able to get one slot added to your Exosuit, assuming you can afford it. You can also buy maps at the cartographer to find pods on planets that will also give you one slot each.
Additionally, you can choose any slot, doesn't have to be adjacent to the ones you already have, so you can immediately unlock all your supercharged slots and expand around them.
@@kevinseven6633 to add to this: when I start a new game I quickly start finding the save beacons with the starship scanner and using every single save beacon to get the navigational data so I can purchase as many exo suit drop pod maps as I can. Each map costs 3 nav data. While you’re doing that collect the ingredients to make an anti matter housing and carbon nano tubes as 1 each is needed to repair the drop pods along with 10 sodium nitrate so collect that also or put sodium in your refiner. If you craft 5 anti matter housings, 5 carbon nano tubes, 50 sodium nitrate, 15 nav data and use it to buy 5 exosuit drop pod maps then you have everything you need to go on a drop pod run and quickly get 5 slots! I hope this helps
Another tip for the suspicious upgrades, I believe the value indicated reflects what tier the upgrade is. Also, when you no longer need an installed upgrade, it might be more useful to you to break it down into resources rather than take it out as a pre-packaged module that only sells for a few nanites.
One tip that really helped me is to stock up on scanner upgrades. Two to three scanner upgrades (preferably class S) and every scanned fauna, flora or mineral will make much more unit. I get around 300.000 unit per animal scanned depending how rare it is. It's ridiculous because every planet is basically another million. The upgrades can be bought at station vendors for nanite but they will not always have S-class scanner upgrades. Just keep looking around.
@@Quinyel been doing this for a few days, just getting lost at scanning cool planets. Got 50.000.000 just from that. You don’t even notice how fast it stacks up.
Go for X class at pirate stations. Even better. Use that to get 500k-800k per animal. Then buy out the materials in every space station you go to and build up a stock on your freighter in vaults. You'll rarely need to gather materials on your own at a certain point.
Tip 1 also applies to starship inventory unlocks iirc. You can unlock a technology slot instead of a cargo slot. Tip 6, the one about the suspicious packets, you don't have to remove additional upgrades, you can have up to 3 upgrades for each system
That's also 3 types of upgrades, so 3 class (C-S) and 3 suspicious upgrades per primary tech. Also, if you have augments you can build, they often are another bonus you can add to the base tech without needing to get rid of the 6 upgrades you've done through the mentioned ones above. I think my current jetpack on my main save has a grand total of 8 augments (2 I made and 3 S class and 3 suspicious) on it. I can climb most mountains with very little pausing to refill the jetpack. ^_^
I played a good 78 hours into this game and kept on discovering weird and wonderful strange things. Keep your Exploration Journey in no mans sky way after 300 hours and you will be a master teacher in no mans sky. You be a Jedi master in no time. My memories in my 77 hour old universe is getting better and more weirder in a good way.
dmn there must be something wrong with me then.... 78 hours wow. Eehhhh i'm playing on and off since 2016 (Yes when it was bad) 2100 hours in and still find weird stuff🥴
@iknownothingwillingtolearn 88 hours now. Planets are advancing with more materials. I have a brand new b class starship. Something different then the other b class starship.
I learned that (at least on pc, idk about console) if you sprint, swing weapon, then jetpack it launches you forward really fast. It's a must to know for running around on foot, and also makes the jetpack upgrades really helpful.
Thank you! I've finally gotten into NMS after many short false starts. I've found the game quite overwhelming with how vast the actual world is and all the different mechanics, but I've found a place where I'm getting my head around all that. Thank you for the tips! I wish I found your channel earlier ❤❤❤
For the 1st tip I got something extra to add. In each system you can buy 2 expansion upgrades for your suit. 1 in the Space Station and one in the Anamoly if you're far enough in the story to summon it
Good collection of beginner tips! For the Trade Terminals, a lot of players miss that you can change inventories when you are selling. So you don't have to unload stuff from your ship to take to the terminal but can sell from there as well! This is also the case when donating things to the Guilds. You can switch inventories, since the items you want to donate may be stored there! At the Multitool terminal in the Anomaly, it will be different in every system! This is a great way to hunt for different multitools!
Thanks for the great tips. Really nice they added the option of the auto target follow in flight, but if you do fancy having some fun working on manual targeting skills, there's a few things that can really help. Maybe the first would be, as the game guide suggests, using reverse thrust to turn faster and help stay on target and keep from losing them as they fly straight by you. 2. You can use your camera joystick to keep your view on the enemy even if you can't turn your ship fast enough to track them, you can usually keep your camera on them and then line them up. 3. if in 1st person view, the holo HUD in your cockpit actually works and works quiet well - didn't notice this for probably dozens or 100hrs +. You can track enemy fighters' position around you even if they're out of view and keep chasing their dot till it's lined up horizontally and vertically in front of you. 4. lead indicator/reticle - while the target assist is decently generous in this game, you do need to lead your shots sometimes or they will miss. There is a little white lead reticle in front of enemy fighters showing where to target when they're flying fast to the side. It can be kinda hard to notice escpecially if you didn't know to look for it. Your target reticle will light up red to know you have a good bead on them. Anyway it can take a while, but I've found it very fun and rewarding to be able to kick ass with your own skill.
scanner upgrades are really important if u want easy money..i only have 3 s class upgrades yet so i get around 450k for rare ones at max..u can easily get upto 2 mil on each planet without even bothering to try hard
It took me so long to figure out how to upgrade my tech slots, I wish I'd seen this way earlier. Cheers for being the first person I've seen mention this, very helpful for new players.
200 hrs in and I had no idea you could change the size of the terrain manipulator’s excavator. Also didn’t know that exosuit inventory upgrades also upgrade exosuit technology slots; I spent so long looking for technology-specific upgrades that didn’t exist 😭
Played hundreds of hours when it came out. Didnt see why it got so much hate. Then moved on to other games. Still installed in my library. Tried it again and its an entirely different game. Im lost in the sauce. 😂 need many refreshers.
Tip I learned by playing. You can make your terraforming beam bigger and smaller with L1/R1 (on my console) If younmake your beam smaller you will recieve a lot more copper etc from deposits. It takes a lot longer, but you get WAY more than usong a large beam
I’m new to the game. I have about 5 hours. Thanks for the tips. I have two not listed here. 1. Like asteroids, you can blast the surface of a planet to mine quickly. Blast trees, animals, rocks, crystals. Wipe out whole areas fast and all the resources are added. 2. I don’t understand it entirely, but after you scan an item and get your units, you can then upload the info and get Nanites. There’s little up arrows next to everything you’ve scanned and haven’t uploaded. I don’t know why or if this is good to do, but it got me a lot of Nanites pretty quickly. I realized this just recently and went back and uploaded everything for a few hundred.
1. Your inventory is not actually almost fully expanded, you have a lot more to go. And you can sometimes find the drop pod charts for sale and are definitely worth the units to buy them. 2. Having a black market mod is similar to a regular mod and you can actually sorta gauge how good it is by how much its worth (before you install it) a 700 or so nanite value should be equal to an S class 3. You can unlock blueprints for teleporters and build them at any / all of your own bases and wont need to get to a space station every time. 4. Salvaged data is very useful to unlock blueprints however once you have a good amount of blueprints you can throw salvaged data in a refiner of any kind and get nanites. 5. Any slime you find can actually be thrown into a refiner so if you find a container with slime that needs to be removed so you can access it you can actually take it because it has refining value. 6. Make sure you are checking your "tech" inventory slots on characters/ tool/ ship and so on for overloaded slots as they will greatly increase the strength of a mod placed in that spot but not every mod benefits. 7. Nanites are a very scarce resource early on so dont spend them willy nilly or you may regret it. 8. Its absolutely worth getting mining laser upgrades from the anomaly to get more resources each time you mine something. I would love to stumble across you sometimes because i can give you some stuff WAY more valuable than poo. Been fun to see you stomping around though 😅
Great tip about the nanite price of x class mods. I usually buy or have an s class equipped for comparison when rolling x class. Will have to test that out!
I've been playing for a few years but, when I start a new save my favorite way to get nanites is to identify all the animals on planets. The underground creatures can be the worst. For them I like going to places like minor settlements that have a nice sized cave system by them. Usually if I stay there for a little while the animal will spawn in at the entrance.
Great tips! One of the best ways to earn units early game is to set up some trade routes between the various types of system e.g Advanced Materials -> Scientific -> Trading. Buy the discounted stuff at a space station trade terminal (negative percentage cost) in an AM system, sell it in a Sci system (where it has an inflated price) - buy discounted stuff in the Sci system and sell it in a Trade system - buy discounted stuff in the Trade system and sell it in the AM system. You will have to wait another 24hr or so, after completing the loop, for the trade terminal prices to stabilise again - then just rinse and repeat. I made tens of millions in a few trade loops over a few play sessions. Plenty of downloadable guides on the interwebs that explain it all much better than I ever could.
I re-mapped this to Q. I hated trying to just slow down(S) when fighting up close with Sentinel Capital ships that it would jerk me in a different direction because of that damned keybind! lol
This will mean you get free inventory spaces. I never spend money on space for exosuit. Tip 2. Always look for the 3 yellow diamond on planets untill you see runaway mold. Build a base near it first. Now harfest it. If you jump any from the base and back it will reset. Farm again. Now if you a decent amount refinr it in a refiner. The better the refiner the better nanite farming will be. I swin in nanites
I’ve found that if you walk far enough away from the runaway mold, it’ll reset too. I wanna say it’s about 600u away, but can’t remember for sure. That’s actually beyond your base limits, but if you go to the edge of your base limit, put down a small floor panel as far as it’ll let you, it’ll add an additional 50u to your base limits in that area. I typically set my base 600u away from the mold, and use the floor panel technique to extend to the mold, then run a series of short range teleporters (has to be a series since one won’t go far enough) between the runaway mold and my base where I put a bunch of large refiners. Land at base, short range teleport to mold, collect, teleport back to base, plug into refiners, rinse, repeat. That way, you don’t have to deal with the larger teleporter loading screens I had to watch a tutorial or two on it, but once I got it working, it works well and is a quick way to collect. I also suggest building a wall around the mold especially if it’s on a hill so it doesn’t run TOO far away ☺️
Thank you for the tips! I am just starting the game and struggling to make some credits. So I sat myself in the anomaly while I worked and when I came back had been given nearly 200 MILLION worth of goods!! Dang that's nuts! Thank you to those anonymous heros that helped me out! The day will come that I can pay it forward to someone else.
I have played this game on and off for years and never knew I could change the slot I was buying and I also learned about the auto ship lock in this video! I can't wait to dive back in now. Thanks!
Tip use refiner recipes unless you wanna gather every resource by hand. For example if you're low on Sodium Nitrate just add carbon to the refiner with Sodium. This will make it a 1:1 ratio instead of the Normally 2:1 Also use your ship to gather resources. Its just as efficient and its faster.
Not seen if anyone has mentioned this but you can have up to 3 additional tech augments PER main tech object, so your removing scanner augments when adding another is pointless. You should get up to the maximum of three augments per tech and only then replace existing augments with better ones. BTW these 3 augments are in addition to any CRAFTED augments you've acquired blueprints for which add to the functionality of the main tech and which you craft by selecting an empty tech space and building from there. You should also place the tech and augments in a square formation if possible as they then support each other in the most efficient way, and look out for the best use of supercharged slots. The point about installing additional exosuit TECH spaces (as opposed to cargo) is an important one and one which most people miss when new to the game (I did and am now 900+ hrs in). Also try to get as many additional Multi-tool tech slots as possible so you can augment your scanner as quickly as possible to increase your units per scan. An Advanced Mining Laser is an essential early on. BTW the Combat Scope is not that useful early on with low power weapons. A Personal Forcefield might be a better choice with limited nanites available. Good luck with your journey.
A comment on the tech upgrades for multi-tool, ship, and exosuit modules - you can have a max of 3 upgrades per base equipment module (in this case, the scatter blaster). Rather than immediately storing the upgrade that was a little worse, go ahead and leave that one there until you find a better one to replace it. Granted, if you're starved for tech slots, it's perfectly reasonable to free up space. But in any other case, even a little bonus is better than none until you can find a superior upgrade.
Very helpful! Thank you! Purchased the game in 2016 and played a little, but unfortunately set it down and didn’t pick it back up. Just started playing again this week and it’s so different! Having a lot of fun! Thanks for the video :D
I have twice recieved a legendary artifact worth almost 3 million from players in the anomaly! Just from leaving the game running while I sat in my ship! Good idea to wait near the nexus hub ❤
Thank you loved the video! Just started playing last week while on vacation (haven't touched destiny since then oops). So many things to learn. Great list and learned many new things. Slot adjacency is still confusing even after watching some others videos. Still haven't gotten into the expeditions or the exotics. Still learning. I am sure you will have more videos like this over time lol!
Brilliant video. I've been playing for ages now and even I learnt a few new things. Plus your beautiful Welsh accent was an added bonus as I could listen to it all day long. 30 years in Cardiff and I miss it every day 😢
Hub Hobo😂 I had no idea that's what it's called. I emoted once and got a stack of something AI modules worth 600million early game. Sold them all and didn't need units again. Thank you whoever you were.
One tip i have is that in really early game, by far the easiest way to get money fast is to farm Storm Crystals. Extreme planets can seem daunting but you can just wait in your ship for a storm to hit, then just fly around looking for clusters of 3-5 storm crystals, even just a single bundle of 10 will net you 1-2 mil, so just 30 minutes or so of farming can get you 10s of millions of credits
If you are farming the new Brood Mother enemy from the latest expedition for the various bug helmet drops you can break her AI completely by shooting her with a paralysis mortar while she is still emerging from the ground. She'll then never complete the emerge animation and just sit there doing nothing while you kill her.
I rewatched your tips now that I’ve put in a few hours. Very helpful. Maybe tips on decking out a freighter and vehicle would be good too. Thanks Sir Sausage. You’re the best. 🏆
Exosuit and starship expansions are the more simple to do, in this game you get plagued with navigation data items, you exchange them in spacial stations for planetary charts of distress beacons to find starships crashes to salvage, in an opulent economy solar system is more easy to find grade A and S starships to salvage to keep or sell in ship parts. For the exosuit you exchange the navigation data for exosuit upgrade charts, then go to planets and search for the expandion to update the cargo or the technology slots.
Tip 1: you can get a 2nd slot per system for your exosuit. One from the station, then if you summon the anomaly, you can nab a 2nd slot without needing to warp. YW. 😊
Amazing video. I didnt even know half of this stuff.. One thing im not a fan of, is that you can "cheat" by changing your gamemode.. but beside that, this game is fantastic
Returning player from the early days. This vid was really good and taught me a few things I didn't know (like using the catalogue to find stuff and things) Also Loving the humour. you earned yourself a subscriber :)
I'm sure it's been said, but both Tech and Cargo slots, go beyond the original layout. A Scroll option will appear when you fill them up. However, there is a max limit to both.
I Thought, just like him, that I only had to get a few more to max my cargo space. When I had finally unlocked that last slot I was relieved beyond measure. Then I went to my next new station and wanted to now get more Tech slots, and then it scrolled down to show that same flashing upgrade slot. I lost it, I now was both happy there was more slots and despaired at how many more I needed to finally actually finish it.
If you fill all the Exosuit slots (tech and inventory), a new row becomes available. I dont know what the maximum is, but youre not limited to the first 'page' of slots.
The scale of no man's sky is very impressive. I haven't been in gaming very long, but i can't think of a triple A studio that has accomplished anything close to what hello games have done with nms. The game play is fun. Being able to tunnel through a planet and build a base underground is pretty cool. The space combat is okay, and the planet combat isn't bad, but it's not great. The game is mostly a crafting game with alot of other elements . Im hooked on this game at the moment
Tip 21 - If you want to swim fast underwater, fly high above the surface of the water then fall while pressing the forward key/button. When you go underwater you'll be moving faster than even the jetpack can push you, and as long as you don't stop, you'll keep moving fast. 👍
You can also put those fluids and slime from the damaged machine into the personal refiner or any refiner .it works its way up to fungal mould refine that for some extra nanites just keep feeding it in also good sourse of nanites early game
Watch out for the people luring players to a 'base', coercing them to save their game, then trapping inside and turning up the thermostat. Once you try to leave, you're teleported to a dungeon you can't mine out of. The only fix without deleting your save is to have a friend invite you to a different multiplayer server and saving once you arrive. I nearly cried 10 times.
You can have 3 upgrades at the same time, so you did not have to sell the scatterblaster upgrade, it adds both, when the border turns red you have 1 or more too many.
I'm a new "returning" player, as in I had played a bit on launch but then didn't touch the game until Worlds 1 came out. And last week while I was in the Anomaly, some random lovely maniac gave me starship scrap parts worth, wait for it, 1.2 BILLION units. I couldn't believe my eyes.
There is a way to duplicate items using 2 refiners. Place your refiner on the ground then add what you want to duplicate to the input space. Create and place another refiner on top of the first one and leave it empty. Then hold R3 to pickle them both up and it will double your items. Salvage data and exo suit upgrades can be duplicated for a boat load of units.
not just 2 refiners. I only dupe on things like expedition saves or saves I play for a few hours and delete. The latest expedition save I bought a freighter after my first warp in a dissonant system. I found a nexus mission that gave me a salvaged frigate module. Then I used 5 refiners at once to get enough to unlock the matter beam. I'm deleting all of my expedition saves.
If you dont need "Salavaged Data" because you unlocked everything you want or for what ever reason, DONT sale them. Units arnt a problem, shove them into a refinery and turn them into Nanits for unlocking new places in your squad, new places for pets, new technologie or for buying upgrades for example
Dude!! Your video is amazing. I turned on multiplayer because I wasn't sure. I learned about grouping stuff in tech slots and sit at the hub while figuring it out and super slots that still I don't know if it effects some thing and drinking coffee. I tabbed to inventory and someone dropped off 2 stacks worth 750k each. I went from 3.7k to 4.7 k. I was thrilled to have 3.7k and now 4.7K. I didn't want to upgrade me Tier C Freighter and it's also butt ugly. Same with my little Starter Starfighter. I went back to figuring stuff out and drinking coffee. I checked my inventory and someone dropped off a few stacks worth 360 million units! Now to find a good freighter and starship way quicker than I expected. Love this game, but kind feel bad I won't have to work my way up, but I'll not really lol. Was at about 500, 000,000 by the time I got up to leave!
Happy to see your enjoying nomans sky been playing this for a long time now ans stilling enjoying it with all the free update that hello games give you maybe one day you can pop on and visit my city I built in the game. And for more fun under the sea you can build yourself a sub that you can drive
The more NMS content I've watched (never engaged with the game at all), the more I realized how badly Starfield ripped-off some key elements of this game! I'm going to have to give this game a try during the inevitable down times in Destiny!
Having to remember where to upgrade and buy all the different stuff in this game is driving me crazy. Like every time i enter a space station or something its a new adventure XD
There's a glitch with the exosuit upgrader. If you go underneath the floor by the mission salesman, you can access the upgrade station from below. You buy the one upgrade, then it let's you buy all the remaining ones for no cost to you. Found it last night. Never seen it documented anywhere b4. Worth testing?

@@leftcoastfunkit’s a lot easier to just buy the expansion upgrades when you warp to new systems and go to their space stations. Unless you don’t warp a lot. I jump systems all the time trying to collect as many 3 star economies as I can 😘😘
@@God-w- yeah i realized that too a while after I wrote the comment L O L. I hadn't been playing long yet and was still having fun just exploring every single planet in every single system I visited so hadn't done much warping yet

had to say the community in no mans sky are one of the best. when i was starting a week ago some dude just dumped hundreds of milyons worth of different items in my inventory lol its an easy walk for me now thank you good sir/mam!
It hurts😂
@@raphaelsilva502 you sprint, melee, then quickly jump to pack. It still works, just have to upgrade your jet pack for longer duration etc
I always buy Uranium at stations as its cheap and you can fuel your ships thrusters with it, you will never need the take off fuel then just use uranium.
Great infos! Thank you!

BUT, here's my trick I really wish I knew when I started (and/or remembered when I start playing again) :
Copper is not the only source of Chromatic you can use.
Yay!
And by using his mineral scan , voila! thank you)
Want a lot of chromatic metal use the large refiner with indium, gold, and silver for 30X chromatic metal.
Great tippage as normal Kev!
Additionally, you can choose any slot, doesn't have to be adjacent to the ones you already have, so you can immediately unlock all your supercharged slots and expand around them.
You can buy 2 slots per system, one from the station and one from the anamoly
@@sai_786Good to know thank ya I’ve been moving inventory back and forth via my Ship and Roamer, due to not having enough slots this will help .
Thank you sir!
Came to the comments to mention this about tip 6. Thanks!
God-tier informant right here
I played a good 78 hours into this game and kept on discovering weird and wonderful strange things. Keep your Exploration Journey in no mans sky way after 300 hours and you will be a master teacher in no mans sky. You be a Jedi master in no time.
Excellent space combat tips there! I suppose the auto target can take away from the dogfighting experience!
Got it on Steam sale and just started playing. This was very helpful! Thank you 😊!
scanner upgrades are really important if u want easy money..i only have 3 s class upgrades yet so i get around 450k for rare ones at max..u can easily get upto 2 mil on each planet without even bothering to try hard
It took me so long to figure out how to upgrade my tech slots, I wish I'd seen this way earlier. Cheers for being the first person I've seen mention this, very helpful for new players.
Tritium Hyperclusters are also a build-material for the Instability Drive (pulse engine augmentation)
You can make your terraforming beam bigger and smaller with L1/R1 (on my console)
If younmake your beam smaller you will recieve a lot more copper etc from deposits. It takes a lot longer, but you get WAY more than usong a large beam
Thank you for the mineral search tip. That’s going to be a huge time saver.
2. Having a black market mod is similar to a regular mod and you can actually sorta gauge how good it is by how much its worth (before you install it) a 700 or so nanite value should be equal to an S class
Excellent Info as always!!
Great tip about the nanite price of x class mods. I usually buy or have an s class equipped for comparison when rolling x class. Will have to test that out!
Thank you. I watch lots of creators discovering ^the above^ exploring and just asking What If?
I've been playing for a few years but, when I start a new save my favorite way to get nanites is to identify all the animals on planets. The underground creatures can be the worst. For them I like going to places like minor settlements that have a nice sized cave system by them. Usually if I stay there for a little while the animal will spawn in at the entrance.
I started and got a random packet of something I can't remember and it was worth 600 million so I am set on money. Just need nanites
For PC to lock-on during ship to ship battles (dogfights) it is Holding S on the keyboard
Thanks for the info!
Or re-map it to mouse 2
Excellent info thank you!
Just don't leave the mouldy balls/nanites in the refiner and then go to another system. Your precious nanites will be gone when you get back!
Brand new player here in December 2024 - thank you for this! VERY helpful!
This will make it a 1:1 ratio instead of the Normally 2:1
Also use your ship to gather resources.

Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Great video started playing like two weeks ago. This was very helpful . Also love your energy.😂😂
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching!
Excellent. Funny and useful. Love that
Very helpful video, thank yoooou!
Glad it was helpful!
One if not the best NMS guide for new/returned players
Tip 1: you can get a 2nd slot per system for your exosuit. One from the station, then if you summon the anomaly, you can nab a 2nd slot without needing to warp. YW. 😊
Best video of tips iv watched so far no jargon easy to understand helped a lot ,cheers
Amazing video. I didnt even know half of this stuff.. One thing im not a fan of, is that you can "cheat" by changing your gamemode.. but beside that, this game is fantastic

I'm sure it's been said, but both Tech and Cargo slots, go beyond the original layout. A Scroll option will appear when you fill them up. However, there is a max limit to both.
Thank you!
Lots of handy hints here. Thanks 😎
Great share.. Thank you!! The commentary is hilarious and full of expression. You helped me out a lot
Some great tips there.. I have 270+ hours in this game and learned a thing or two!

Omg! Thank you so much for these tips. Ive been playing for a while and didnt know several of these.
The first tip...holy Hanna's bananas - how did i not know that :D
If you fill all the Exosuit slots (tech and inventory), a new row becomes available. I dont know what the maximum is, but youre not limited to the first 'page' of slots.
Thank you!
One of the best Tips video I've seen. Subbed!
That Vy'Keen at the pink space station is an ICP fan 😂 "Interloper! What is a Juggalo?!" 😂😂😂
At the anomaly you can also purchase the exosuit slots. And you can do it in each system you go to. Happy exploring o7
More fool me commenting before I have finished the video
Wow, I’ve destroyed hundreds of enemy ships and didn’t know there was a lock on mechanic hahah 😂
Very Handy!
Great video soo helpful gonna write these tips down for next time I play on the quest
You can have 3 upgrades at the same time, so you did not have to sell the scatterblaster upgrade, it adds both, when the border turns red you have 1 or more too many.
@18:49 very helpful clip thx! must admit that i actually wonder how in a 3d environment, any item can be located "left to" anything else : )
Install the medium personal refiner rather than the standard one. You don’t need to have both, the medium can refine everything the standard can.
I'm a new "returning" player, as in I had played a bit on launch but then didn't touch the game until Worlds 1 came out.
And last week while I was in the Anomaly, some random lovely maniac gave me starship scrap parts worth, wait for it, 1.2 BILLION units. I couldn't believe my eyes.
that box isnt the end of where you can upgrade the inventory, fill that and you get a scrollbar :)
Great tips, thank you.
Intriguing!
Crazy! The game puts a smile into our efforts.
not just 2 refiners.
Funny enough coming from Elite: Dangerous, station facing planet was intuitive I didn't even thought about it.
If you dont need "Salavaged Data" because you unlocked everything you want or for what ever reason, DONT sale them. Units arnt a problem, shove them into a refinery and turn them into Nanits for unlocking new places in your squad, new places for pets, new technologie or for buying upgrades for example
You can also buy an exosuit upgrade with the anomaly when you move to a new system
You can also beat sentinels and find their tower for a free multi tool to deconstruct for multi tool mod slots and money

The more NMS content I've watched (never engaged with the game at all), the more I realized how badly Starfield ripped-off some key elements of this game! I'm going to have to give this game a try during the inevitable down times in Destiny!

Dude I’ve been getting inventory slots for my gear like crazy and no technology ones 🤦🏻♂️, well now I know hahaha
