Today we are taking a look at the final house of Marilyn Monroe at 12305 Fifth Helena Drive in Brentwood. This was the last house of Marilyn and where she also was found in 1962. Marilyn Monroe's death is still a source of controversy and this home was at the center of it. This house is gorgeous...😍 I love Mediterranean-Spanish Style houses..the kitchen is beautifully decorated!
Thank you Freyzel. I was at that home in 1992 when it was being remodeled, they were replacing the open beams in the kitchen and installing a skylight. I will also be attending her 60th memorial this August 5th, the memorial park is a few miles away.

It was a very nice home..Modest..Sad she was not able to live in it and enjoy her new home longer..Think she was doing the Decor herself..Those Front door Tiles she personally put in place take on a whole new meaning now..

I wish Marilyn and I could have been friends in that time and space. I would have made sure she knew, that she can have a relationship with Jesus Christ and know his unconditional love for her. She was more than a glamour girl. She was a terrific human being with so much to offer. She never quite understood that, I don't think. So much potential, love, grace, kindness and authenticity. So.......all who read this comment, remember always......you are enough, just you alone, you are loved by Jesus unconditionally. Do you hear me! Many many times this conversation leads a person to accepting Jesus as their personal savior and wanting to know more about him. This is the reference as to what I was making. Bought in 1962. Anna Nichole Smith did live there, and Veronica Hamel as well. Marilyn did not install those fateful tiles at the front door. They were waiting for her when she purchased the house. Marilyn's primarily residence was still NYC where she maintained an apartment for 7 years.
I drove out to the house around 1989. Drove right down 5th Helena Drive and looked over the gate. The house hasn't changed much, but the fence was different.
I was there spring 2021. I slept in my car on the street behind her house you can't see her house it's just all trees in other houses kind of surrounded. But I was trying to move to LA never could find a place to live though.
When you drive through Brentwood they warn you to drive really slow because there may be tourists walking around and there's traffic that as any other place actually traffic's everywhere but they warn you to please drive slow because Marilyn Monroe's house is in the area.

That $320 in 1961 in today’s money with a 909% increase adjusted for today’s money would be $3230/mo now. Still a good price for a mortgage in Brentwood, but significantly more than $320/mo in today’s money.
In 2017 house was sold for almost $8 million. Now owner wants to destroy it completely. Insane

She had attempted suicide in the past though, and depression is not always a logical thing where you need a reason. I dont think we will ever know what happened though..

It looks to have been renovated since then but still a little creepy. I think it’s been sold if memory serves me right.
It was sold in 2017 for around 8 million US. So, yes, people do live in it now! It has been converted to a 4-bedroom. Maybe they don't use her room as a bedroom. I don't think I would.

The adress is a "11th". It's not an easy number. And from what i know about her, it doesn't, it didn't fit her.
Wow that's what I did too. i counted the numbers and it rounded up to 11. It's a very positive number but then you got that tile with the words: " My journey ends here".

Unfortunately, she had endometriosis so it was difficult for her to have kids and ended up miscarriage every time. She went through a lot it's understandable how her life ended :((

I think it's a beautiful house. I can't really understand how someone could find it ugly, but maybe just not to their own liking. I personally find a lot of the contemporary grey/white sterile-looking homes very ugly, but I understand that's what some people like, so, meh. To each their own. I'd rather live in a house like this.
