Being a Canadian and listening to Gale trying to say Mississauga was funny
He went for the native sound, not a bad guess. Plenty of Indian people there, not that kind though.
Sometimes it’s easier just to say Toronto. Lol.
@@hollywoodguido5556 Yes, when you travel around the world, you just say Toronto.
Just don't bring that flick knife to Canada or they'll arrest ya :)
Damm the way he say it hurm my canadian soul😂
I know guys might harp about this as a product placement. People that cannot consider the endorsement of a multiple world record holding racer with more than fifty years of conquering every facet of motorsports they have gone near don't know the value that these products hold. This isn't mere praise but substantial merit to the claim that not only are these products good, but perhaps the best that are available to anyone.
Thanks Gale, I'm fabbing a single t4 v6 turbo setup and don't want to do the work twice.
Agreed, I don't have any problem with people endorsing and publicising a product they use and rate highly - it can save other people a lot of time and hassle finding, or making, them, themselves!
What I do have a problem with is the parasites, who call themselve 'influencers' who take money to promote and endorse products they don't use, need, or even look into to check what is claimed, for the money.
Keep it up, Gale, honest folks bringing honest products to folks who need to learn of them is good for everyone!
@@gordowg1wg145 exactly. That is the big problem around with lots of people. I hate when people say a product is the best and have never used it. Or vice versa they say a product is junk and have no real time experience with it. And don’t go off others reviews to make your own claim. Research the part yourself with first hand knowledge.
I can imaging someone going "Nneeeeeeeeerrrrrrd",.. and all of us understanding.
Getting a person with the competition wins over decades to voluntarily endorse, and to be seen using the products, is something small family owned businesses usually couldn't afford.
And imagine the future phone calls, if Gale and team find an issue in deep testing, and give feedback that leads to even better products. Bet on us seeing those fresh developments being tested too.
Some people warn the right to have their endorsement mean something. Gale is that personified
I wish he would run for president and fix our world ! I have no doubt in my mind he’d make it run smooth!
Thanks for giving the Milwaukee Fastback knife some good words Banks! I designed that bad boy.
Scott, we love it! We're interested in speaking with someone at Milwaukee. Can you put us in touch with a marketing person? Please send contact info to socialmedia@bankspower.com.
11 pm and i am watching Gale look at a parts catalog like a pin up, and i am dying inside LOL
Me too. I was wondering how many people caught that at the end. Apparently we are dating ourselves, when paper magazines were the only thing around.
I tell ya something about Gale Banks just makes me feel like I should give him all of my money in exchange for his parts
More importantly, the knowledge of which parts to buy and work properly, instead of simply sending you a bunch of things that you may not really need.
I love Gale's enthusiasm for small businesses.
What a refreshingly pleasant man. Your joy is contagious Gale. Thank you very much for sharing so much with us. You've inspired and educated me filling in some blanks and grey areas that have enabled me to modify my truck the way I've dream of.
Mr. Banks great video , I always end up chuckling a lil at your videos, not to mention I’m always totally amazed at the technical side also! Diffidently one of the best channels on you tube 👍
That last walk off saying, "Oh, yeah. Yeah," while turning the magazine was classic. #VibrantCenterfold
Vibrant is a company that makes just the best stuff and have seen it on vehicles in Australia ,New Zealand and Asia not just here in North America , I love it being made here in Canada Not China and it is over night delivery for me,
About to buy a heaps of Vibrant fittings for a turbo setup here in Aus. Only clamps i'd trust for high boost applications, worth the money.
Vibrant fittings say made in Taiwan on the package....
If he keeps this up Gale Banks Liking a product is going to be the gold standard endorsement.
His endorsement has been that way for a long time. Back in the 80's I had a 79 SE Trans Am, "Bandit Edition" and I used to dream about getting the engine repackaged with a twin-turbo version from Gale Banks. I wanted 400ci twin-turbo with a functional shaker hood. I haven't given up on that dream yet. I really want a 1979 SE Trans Am with today's technology in the suspension and drivetrain. Something utterly reliable and bulletproof with about 900HP!
Fun watching the excitement! Awesome editing as well. Would be cool to add a employee spotlight. Maybe as a monthly competition. Must have a ton of good people working at Banks!
Pretty cool seeing Gale Banks hand out his seal of approval to a company that's local to me, that I've dealt with for quite a few years now. Great products and they've come miles over the last 5-6 years in regard to their performance fab solutions.
Those two boxes might have cost more than my car lol. Very nice equipment
Actually vibrant is a very affordable company to work with. Built a set of up pipes for my 6.9 for about $100
Gotta love seeing Gale geek out on well made kit. 🤣😂
Gales' company builds some very well engineered and built products. But Gale also knows other suppliers who build very good products as well and he is a good source of information about these products.
I love when Gale looks at a box of parts as if it's just full of kittens.
Man.... it does not get much better as a supplier than Gale Banks giving you a review like that.
Vibrant is great stuff
I've been using vibrant for years.
Between them and Borla, it's all I'll ever use for exhaust parts.
Damn I was about to say the exact same thing! I've never had a component from either manufacturer fail on me. Outstanding bang for the buck.
Same!
20 plus years using vibrant on tons of builds.
Who needs exhaust?
@@doolittlegeorge pretty much everyone that's not a "bro" or a complete dick slapper
Andrew Doolittle you one of those dudes with a squated gmt400 series truck with straight manifolds thinking it sounds good on the limiter ehh?
great endorsement ^^ . also you can see these are high quality parts ^^
Vibrant makes a great resinator. Its called the Ultra Quite. So nice.
I agree. Added an ultra quiet to a Borla system I had, 100% eliminated the drone, and still sounded amazing
Love when Gale explains things. Vibrant is an amazing company.
As someone who has been contemplating high end custom exhaust fabrication as a hobby and even eventually a business, I had started wondering where I should source all of my tubing, bends, mufflers, clamps, etc. Boy was I ecstatic when you showed off their catalog and they had every piece I would ever need, INCLUDING TITANIUM TUBING!
Love this! Your enthusiasm is infectious!
Mr banks all I want for Christmas is that catalog! Great channel love the content been watching since you roasted the hoonigans
Always learn something in every video. Thank you Mr Banks.
love their clamps and the resonators.
15:56 Brings you back to when you were a boy in your bedroom.
Glasses were on the desk... 🧐
We need much more thank you sir
216th👍's up Mr power thanks again for taking us all along with you for the great show 😊
I'd never heard of vibrant performance until I needed some exhaust flanges for a custom 4" open exhaust on my supercharged small block pickup. I used 4 of their flanges to split my system into 3 pieces so I can remove the system easily and reinstall quickly. I welded my exhaust together around Christmas. It's pricey, but very handy.
i need to get some of these!!
Couldn't ask for a better endorsement.
Yes i love this
Gale has me Jacked,I want to now shop Vibrant exhaust parts.
I was going to buy a cheap Catch Can but after 3 days of looking at every available solution, The Vibrant Catch can is engineered and manufactured to a degree of second to none.
Very cool!
Vibrant performance is some nice stuff, the filters they have aren’t bad either.
And only about an hr down the road and never even realized it
Its worth to mention that double slip joint should be welded that way that the air comes from inner part to outer. Welded in opposite direction, reduces the flow as smaller tube wall makes air flow turbulent.
Woohoo, Canada! Vibrant is awesome! BTW, Mr Banks, the city they’re in is pronounced Miss-iss-awe-guh
I have a vibrant muffler on my GMC. Sounds great, is full stainless and only cost $106. Totally worth it
I kinda stumbled into fabricating my own exhaust and I can't imagine how I could've done it without Vibrant parts.
Been using vibrant fart cans for a decade lol. They make amazing stuff.
im not even a diesel guy, but still love the content 🤗
cool Banks
It’s my downpipe flex 💪🏽 vibrant FTW
I love the point about family owned businesses. A lot of people don't get it, but in times like the worlds seeing in 2020, looking after your local family owned businesses, looks after your local economy. Buying local, even for parts made elsewhere, helps keep the people around you employed, and that keep your own town running.
Try this,. When you buy parts, food, chemists (drug store in US) products locally on a Friday afternoon, pay cash if you can (notes fresh out of the ATM), that way, if the small business owner works past banking hours, they'll have the cash in their pocket to buy dinner on the way home, or fill up their car, or pay for the stuff their kids need over the weekend.
And don't quibble about small businesses having to pass on the charges for paying by credit card or Eftpos.
Think Global, Buy Local, wherever you are in the world.
I just found Vibrant and used their flex joints on my #savethesebring project. Amazing parts
The HD boost clamps remind me of the crapper clamps on aircraft lavatory vacuum systems
Vibrant is Just down the road from me!
those Vibrant fittings are based on aerospace in-tank fueling parts.
it's a very good way to seal tubes.
Gale is great
The pulley system is bananas - i count 8 idlers 😁
Some up pipes to go with the manifolds for the duramax would be greatly appreciated. Any thought on offering drop in turbos for the duramax or complete piping kits? The option for powder coating would also be great! We love banks products because of your knowledge Gale!
@10:30 Wiggins clamps
The HD's are great.. but you should check out Adel Wiggins.
Also.. I cringed when he backed the nut all the way off that V-band. Those have a quick disconnect on them!
And for turbo flanges, you NEED to check out Elmer racing.
Hey Gale! I love the videos :) Are you doing any more with the Killing a Duramax series any time soon?
Gale Banks is what Robert Duval was trying to be for Days Of Thunder.
I used to work at Adel-Wiggins in LA and they have a tube clamp called the “Wiggins Wiggler” that is used for coupling fuel tubes in aircraft wings. They have some degree of angular movement they can withstand. It looks to me like they might be something you guys at Banks could use for cold side tube clamps. Those clamps you are showing are similar in how they work, but the Adel clamps have a sleeve over the o-rings and all the clamshell cover does is constrain the axial movement.
Looks like my link to the Adel Wiggins clamp retailer got removed? Well, look up Orkal dot com for information on the clamps. I don’t have any stake in any of this, just trying to help out
The vibrant clamps do have a sleeve, they work the same way
Maybe a copy of the Adel clamps? I guess it’s a patent from the 1940’s? Maybe it has run its course
SoCali7three , I looked up the clamps and Holley sells them on holley . com
reid washbon dot com sells them too
It's the same thing. The Wiggins release /clamp is still waaaayyy better.
And they are the only clamps of this general style in smaller sizes.
I saw these guys at a car show like 10 years ago and was just trying to remember them the other day to buy some high end clamps but couldn’t find them. What a coincidence.
There goes Mr. Banks stimulus check.
My banks diff cover will be here Tomorrow!
i bought some stainless steel headers for an application and they had v bands on them , i thought i was doing myself a favor by paying more for V bands. but when i got them they had v bands on them that were not self centering!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS. Next time ill order stainless headers and order some Vibrant v Bands and tig them on myself.
Ill be using a lot of this stuff on my 67 Bronco. I want the fewest hose clamps possible including on the radiator and heater core.
There an fitting and hoses are the best in the game as far as I’m concerned
Well, I know where to get exhaust parts now :-)
Gale is there anything to be gained by spraying water OR methanol into the exhaust stream preturbo inlet? water for cooling down the EGT and methanol as an anti lag agent.
V band clamps don't need the nuts to be removed they are quick release
Banks I have a very werid question but I cant figure it out I have an 89 irocs with a 350lt1 and when I and easy in the gas and going up a hill or even on flate ground and my engine basically shuts right off. If I leave my foot in it, it like to keep shutting off or shutting done but if u let if then back in it it's good to go just wondering what you think maby you can help out thanks banks hope you can message me back
Lockdown 2020 👍
Do you have an air filter Test? Let's say filter size vs CFM and hp rating on an engine dyno test?
We say Mississauga more like Miss-a-saga, but I'll give credit for the attempt.
Please have Gail do a video about pre-oilers/oil accumulators.
Fun fact: Red Bull spent upwards of several million dollars on research and development for a tire-changing power tool.
they probably deserve it but damn.. what a plug
Mr. Gale Banks plz sir, make some performance parts for 2014-2018 GM Trucks. I already have ear marked your monster exhaust for my 18 sierra but would love more.
Beautiful stuff. Can't afford it. I started hot-rodding when I was about 10 years old (I am 59) and while I am a long ways from poor, buying component's like that is out of my league. I guess that why I have a lathe and Bridgeport, a few welders, 7 toolboxes and all of the peripherals.
Tom and I'm my engine is A64 hammy I know it's a gas rag but it's the only I could afford that's the time thanks for everything I'll keep watching you
One of Cleetus McFarland's videos has an exhaust bellow for a turbo setup blowing out and expanding from pressure. Anyone else seen this happen? Not sure who made the bellow on the kit he had.
Vibrant Performance Quick Release Coupler Fitting makes fluid disconnect activity a breeze.
Mississaugwa? lol
Where is was born, came off a little funny to me too
Lol that playboy pin up of vibrant parts
Did not think i would ever want to watch a 16 minute commercial, guess I was wrong...
I have been trying to find a custom shop as the shops here are dropping off the map and doing only big contracts
Mr. Banks like to ask your question why doesn't amzoil sell a filter for my truck not North Dakota no one sells them where they can't get them you don't I like your stuff I put android on my truck since I've been watching you than you still need a different cover and some other things but you've got a great show been learning a lot
For the upcoming episodes of killing a Duramax, is it possible to set up a camera angle on the exhaust system outside the shop? I want to see how much it smokes
I suspect it would make for uninteresting viewing, given Gale's near fanatical attention to keeping the AFR in check.
In one video with the 7675 turbo they got as low as 17.3:1 afr. I don't know if that's a true afr or a 1.17 lambda reading. I would prefer if they used lambda and the difference with diesel is small. Either way it's above the smoke threshold, usually turbodiesels don't smoke at all above 16.5:1 and depending on the combination until they get below 15:1. You can see with the sidewinder or even the freightliner at pikes peak, they don't smoke once the turbo is spooled and with this killing a duramax, they aren't loading the engine hard until higher boost. The monster truck engine might be different where Aaron admitted there was some extra fuel in the tune and they were doing snap tests. They were using the fuel pedal sensor to limit fuel and had more than enough fuel because they were unsure how much air the blower was going to flow. All that is saying is there isn't gonna be any smoke.
"I'll go black everytime" Gale Banks 2020
"Cmon yall amuricans, spend yo money'' in my home country, buy vibrant, the exchange rate is in your favor :)
Noticed how he saved the centerfold tell last.......and didn't share it with us! Stay tuned Bank's fans that centerfold will soon be live!
Vibrant,, On the package of a resonator i recently bought,, it said 'made in china'
I can listen to Mr Banks talk about anything. Math, turbocharged, politics etc
16:00 I love engineering p*** far better than I like regular.
all right nothing funner than going through a McMaster car catalog or getting ready to order thousands of pounds of steel online for a custom trailer
Gotta back it up to 15:55
*Let's start with the brake lines just because..*
Gale, did you know that those flange clamps
were designed by Groucho's brother? Yes,
Zeppo Marx designed them.

It's much easier to just say Peel Region, on the west side of the Toronto YYZ airport.
HAHA Mississauga [Miss-iss-saug-uh] is DEFINTELY the New Jersey of Toronto hahahahahahaha
It's not anywhere near as bad. Now with Brampton were getting closer!
@@fredpacer2474 bud, i live in Hamilton. All of southern Ontario's getting pretty greaasy these days
Vibrant is great quality stuff but for the turbo kits I'm making I can't justify their prices. Especially their stainless v-bands.. $90 for one when you can find top quality ones for $30-$40. Wish they had more sizes in weld els too. They only have 1.25 and 1.5 inch and it's $12 for one 90. I would have to more than double the price and make zero profit if I used their stuff :(
holy mother of god those stainless welds
Please tell your welder the hotter your weld gets on stainless the less the stainless wants to flow you probably only need 50A max on that and a 3/32 wire just walk the cup shit notch it if you have to
Patiently waiting for the next episode of killing a duramax, but this will work too
You could buy my car with the cost of everything he had shipped to him 😅😅😅
