Lg g7 is the overall better camera smartphone... Both front and rear camera on the lg g7 has a better dynamic range... In low light as well, the lg won hands down... Just look at the sky in the IPhone is picture? Also lg is sharper... Where the iPhone beat the lg is in rear camera video recording... I don't know why lg video recording is so saturated... Lg wins. Nice video though.

I have the lg stylo4 and im literally going to switch to an iphone 7 bc i lost my other iphone and I've had this phone before it and i need a better backup. The iphone 7 is better than this phone bro
One can buy one LG G7 Thinq and one Nikon midrange DSLR like D7200 at the price of iPhone X. I think that there is no need to invest so much money for iPhone X if photography is the priority. This is a very practical point of view.
Great comparison video Nick, keep up the good work. Is hard to pick a winner because both cellphone are good on some areas but for me I would say LG have more natural colors and that wide angle camera is amazing!
No LG phone will beat an iPhone camera wise. None! The LG V60 is now the best with the G8 ThinQ up there. The Google Pixel phone cameras are excellent.
Realistically most of them were very similar. The LG had a better front lens most of the time and the first rear video was better on the LG second was iPhone. The G7 has the wide angle lens which is way more useful imo, so LG G7
Well in my opinion I believe that the iphone x wins when it comes to rear camera, the colors are just as dark as they should be and not too bright as in the photos taken by LG G7, also you could spot higher level of details in the background of iphone x. For example you can see the antenas on the X more clearly @ 6:37 (they just look a bit blocky on the LG G7) and in most of the photos you would see more clouds in the sky on the X. As for the selfie camera both come close but there is more overexposure on the X’s selfie camera so I would give this round to the LG G7. Regardless it is really nice to see smartphone cameras improving like that and I am really looking forward for future improvements in that aspect. Anyway nice video keep up the good work 👍👍👍
The only area where the LG G7 did better than the Iphone X was in audio quality while recording video. Beyond that, the Iphone X was better from one picture to the next and with video quality. That's not to say the G7 has a bad camera - parity among cell phone cameras has greatly increased over the past few years and manufacturers like LG have started to really close the gap but they still aren't there yet. Maybe if/when the google mod is available for the G7 it might be a closer comparison but until then the X is the better way to go as far as the camera is concerned.
Both are great, I own an LG G6 so my bias was towards the G7 Thin Q, and I did like many of its shots better, but if it were my money on a 2 year contract I would get the iPhone X. The flowers, that pottery jug, the blue of the sky, and the shadows looked better on the iPhone to me. Video, by far goes to the iPhone.

The Apple phones pretty much all have great cameras. A friend has a SE 2020 Apple and the camera is great. Price is much much lower for a G7 ThinQ on EBay. New!

I have both, love both but other then the wide angle on the LG G7 I don't even take it out of my pocket for pictures. I'm personally very disappointed as both LG G6 and LG V30 were as good if not better. Maybe the Google camera APK will come out soon for the LG G7 and save the day.

iPhone destroys the LG IMO. The G7 seems to lack dynamic range and the pics are just dull. iPhone also captures a lot more detail. iPhone X wins here, but Pixel 2 XL is still king
The colors are more natural on the iphone x but the lg g7 has nicer white colors and in the dark it has a night. Mode and the lg g7 has a super wide angle camera i am suprised that the iphone x has more details when the lg g7 has 16 megapixels but i think in all iphone has slightly better camera but i still will rather take the lg g7

Well it wasn't specified wether HDR was enabled (wether Auto or manual). I can tell the IPx was in some shots. Should definitely do half enabled/off, just a thought. Also was AI cam on with the G7? If so it doesn't accurately display. I own the G7 and definitely got more consistent results.
iPhone X just has WAY more depth and realism to both the photos and video. Both are quite horrible at night, but what can ya do there, it IS still just a phone after all.
IPhones automatically enhance the color of the pictures, the LG G7 does't, but it haves the icam mode that does the same, evertything is knowing how to use the camera of each phone

Audio always sounds better on the G7 but for quality in auto iPhone X for 90% of the situations. But LG in manual evens things out quite a bit.

The LG G7 took better low light, but I think the iPhone X is better overall with better optical zoom and better more natural photos.
Personally I'd have 2 great cameras that do different things (LG), rather than 1 slightly better camera and one that is barely ever used(Iphone)

Overall IP X better but wide angle nice on LG not that much in it generally and neither that great in low light

Your LG G7 front camera video is too cropped in. I have an LG G7+ ThinQ and its very wide. Alot wider than yours.
Overall all pictures taken by LG G7 ThinQ in day light has less contrast.
