Honestly the so-called lore to this series is so out of wack I stopped trying to understand it. People always tell me look to the books they explain everything and when I do I just get more confused. The games and books contradict each other so much my brain just can't keep up. Like how the hell did William figure out how remnant works? What made him insane? What was his childhood like? I am so tired of the fandom telling me this and that but when I do look it up, it causes more questions than answers. So I just gave up. But god some of these AUs are just....just....God I really can't put into words how moronic a lot of them can be.

William is a psychopath, who only cares about "immortality" or "experiments" and this became clearer after the security breach, where William managed to trick the court into taking custody of the children (since he lied about the Mrs. afton to everyone, which ended up leaving William as the "victim" of the story) He didn't exactly hate his kids, he just didn't care about them. He wanted to keep custody so he wouldn't come off as the villain (I also don't doubt it could have been to use his kids as guinea pigs, but there's nothing proven). And sorry if you didn't understand something, I used the translator.

After he was in hell and is now Glitchtrap he finally noticed what happened what he had done.
Now with full of regret he tries to come back to the real world to apologize (or something like that) aka security breach.
Gregory is the adopted son of Michael and because of that William wants him because he stored Micheals body and soul after the fire to keep him alive.
And Vanny can't follow instructions properly because she wants to kill Gregory.
