- Former U.S. President Donald Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records during his hush money criminal trial in New York City. That's a class E felony punishable by a fine, probation or up to four years in prison per count. CNBC’s Dan Mangan breaks down the different legal scenarios the former president could find himself in when he receives his sentencing on July 11.

I don’t get it and I’m kind of confused because he has all these 34 counts and yet he hasn’t Been thrown in jail yet but there are other people who are so quick to get called out or thrown in jail and I don’t understand it. It's 34 counts of the same crime, not 34 different crimes. They are treating each document as a separate crime, though they each stem from the same incident. It would be as if Hunter Biden were charged separately for each of the six cylinders in the revolver he purchased, or maybe each of the 50 cartridges in the box of ammunition.

Without bail! Generally, first time offenders get bail if they get prison BUT as he's breached the gag order so many times, the Judge may yet revoke his bail, which means he'd have to file his appeal from prison!

They should be talking about how many holes in this case there are. How the Chances for this being overturned are great. They should also talk about how they turned misdemeanor charges into felony’s over federal election laws that they have no jurisdiction in. The list goes on

That tells you they stand firm that he answered his charges in court and that they know what all the crimes are, even if nobody else can figure it out.
