He plays WoW with VR! Развлечения
So nausea is induced when the camera point of view moves when you don’t. That’s the key thing. Never watch content or look from a view that is either a) not stationary or b) doesn’t match with your own movements IRL. The reason why he doesn’t feel nausea, and we do watching that is because his movements IRL and perspective are matching his movement in vr specifically. One of the worst things you can do when introducing someone to vr is put them on something like a roller coaster or show them moving camera content. I learned this very quickly. Also, if you get even the slightest nausea, take it off immediately and don’t return to it until it’s completely cleared. It only takes a few days of mild use to get rid of any inherent vr motion sickness, but just never do the two things I mentioned and you’ll enjoy your experience.
My mom also is very easily induced to nausea when watching videos. What I don't understand is that, never ever in my life I got nausea from watching a video
"VR sickness" is like motion sickness (literally), but you get used to it (usually) after a few hours, and then you're good forever. For VR usualy you start with some games where you're in game sitting dsown, like driving a car or tank or whatever, or the world moves around you, or you teleport. It takes a few hours to get your brain used to the perceived motion, so you can actually 'slidewalk' around in the world without feeling weird. Theres interesting psych tricks too -- like when playing Skyrim VR (hell yes), it helps to walk in place for the first while, as that helps your brain deal with the perceived motion. There are mods for VR that let it simulate forward motion when you walk or move your arms, which helps immersion, and bloaws away that motion sickness aspect... but like I say, for most people the motion sickness greatly reduces after a couple hours of VRing. Though high speed gmaes still get to me, or swinging through the air type games :P
If VR is well adapted to Wow, it can be insane for people who want to work out at home and discover a new way of playing it 👍
Nausea in VR is training for the most part. I have some motion sickness and was very afraid to play VR. I felt it in the first ~50h of playing it. Now, I can run full speed backwards with controller while looking around. It actually helped my motion sickness overall. But it might be different for different people.
Unfortunately this only works on a very specific version of a private client.
I love how "running" in wow on VR is simply slouching forward IRL.
That's not how it works. He is probably using an "Omni". That is a bidirectional treadmill and you can actually walk on it. The leaning just helps a little bit.
