I have had two of these in the past 5 years . 80k on each one . Comfortable and soft sprung... not dynamic. Despite this both cars were faultless and particularly good (quiet and refined) on the motor way. Good car on poor country roads on 16 rims with michelin cross climate tires. Reliable durable and frugal. Huge boot but mediocre rear leg room. The night panel concept plagiarised from SAAB , I suppose is also a great idea.
A good looking car and thousands of pounds less expensive than the Peugeot 308 equivalent (GT line) it's got to be a bargain. I think the exterior could be more sporty but with a choice of a 130ps petrol or 120ps diesel it shouldn't be a slouch either.
i bought standard 2014 1.6 diesel 6 months ago with perrys offer for £9.999. i was happy all the way till i had an accident, now my gap insurance pays me £17.000 so i can replace it with a new one. lucky me. couple of things i don't like, is that because of downhill automatic break the clutch makes little noise when pressed, and the gearbox does not go into first gear some times you have to neutral it and try again, (once every 2 months maybe) and the wipers looks like suitable for left side driving rather than right, because the last wiper leaves line of rain just infront of you. seems like it is not filtering the smell or gas in the traffic enough as well. but over all it does fricking 600 miles on A1 motorway for a full tank which works out about 1 litre of diesel for 12 miles.
