I loved lost like nothing else. then I watched the last episode, screamed "WTF ARE YOU F*ING KIDDING ME?", deleted all the files and never watched a single episode or even scene again...
Eazypoints Too many people bash the ending and accuse it of not explaining anything, but if they actually read between the lines they would actually be able to figure it out. People nowadays just want to be told everything and not think about it. I'm sick of people wanting endings where some character explains the entire series in some random monologue, revealing everything and not leaving any plot points up to interpretation. I enjoy stories with vague endings that leave some things up to your interpretation, it gives you something to think and theorize about after the story is all over.
Ok so you loved the Lost finale... good for you. You know that just because you go against popular opinion to try and make yourself look edgy and cool, doesn't mean anyone is buying it.
Many diehard Lost fans thought the Finale was awesome and perfect. Like myself. Nobody is trying to look edgy and cool. We watched the seasons religiously, paid attention, and the Finale made sense to us and explained it all. The people that hated the Finale are ones that casually watched Lost, missed entire seasons, took a break from it at times, or are the type of people that need everything explained to them in a black and white way.
dont worry : IT WAS. A lot of people (like me) at the start hated the season6. Why ? I Don't know maybe because some responses seemed to be (at the time) a little dissapointing... and as I said in another comment, the final Lost create a big misunderstanding about the sense of the Show. This misunderstanding came from the ABC generic final before the commercial after the last scene and before the bad robot screen, they put some images of the beach / crash for few seconds... it was a huge mistake and a big regrets for Lindelof and Cuse because lot of people saw in it a kind of "INCEPTION ENDING" ... cause the ending scene is the Mirror of the opening pilot scene, cause Jack is bleeding like in the opening, Vincent the dog came near Jack... After 7 years we look back this show, and love really the final season and the final episode. Very different view from the time.
Charles Stiles Yeah, too many people bash the ending and accuse it of not explaining anything, but if they actually read between the lines they would actually be able to figure it out. V K but Desmond says "see you in another life brother" a lot of times, so there isn't one specific scene they are talking about. Unless it was the final scene, then you were right.
You know you're right, people who've never seen lost couldn't possibly understand the meaning of this bizarre jumble of words. Could mean anything really. Not like it's a quote that makes sense and doesn't even really mean much. Mystery.
The ending was beautiful. They left it in an ambiguous note. And Mathew fox is a very talented actor. Better than most. You can see it in his every emotion in the lost series. Hope to see him again as a protagonist in some show.
What do you mean ambiguous? They tell you wtf happened right as the end was happening. They weren't dead the whole time. Plus there is a 13 min epilogue afterwards.
Nothing ambiguous about it. The final season flash sideways are an “alternate-life experience” in purgatory where they all live different lives to the ones they did before reconnecting and remembering their time on the island. They then go to the church and wait for one another before moving on to the afterlife as “the time with these people on the island was the greatest part of your life”. It’s just like meeting someone at the “pearly gates of heaven”. They all needed to move on together.
I started watching Lost last year & binged watched it on Netflix. Man I can only imagine the agony of waiting a week back then for a new episode. Thank God for Netflix
It was actually cool. Because you got tall about Lost with your friends the whole week about what you think is happening. My friend actually met a girl watching Lost. A bunch of people would meet at somebody's house and watch the episode that week. They're married and have 2 kids now.
It was actually nice to have something exciting to look forward to every week. It made school and work so much easier because you had that feeling of anticipation for a new LOST episode keeping you afloat. I don’t think I would have been able to get anything done if I could binge the whole show lol. Also with weekly episodes, you are forced to rewatch the previous one which allows you to see things you might have missed the first time.
Ryan Anthony Couldn't have said it better myself. If they think Lost's ending was confusing, I'd hate if they watched Interstellar, Primer, or Memento.
Lord Ashy Interstellar and Memento are conclusive and very easy to understand. People may or may not like those films, but at least the endings are clear.
Why is it so hard for people to understand LOST? Once you wrap your head around the main theme, it's pretty straight forward to understand. And the ending was amazing! Those who don't like it just weren't paying attention.
Why don't you run for President? We need a fresh face in office! Donald Trump is an aging SOB that many folks wish would just resign! I would vote for you tens of thousands of times over before voting for corrupt Cult 45 Trump!
I personally found the ending of Lost to be brilliant. The whole point of the show is Philosophy vs Religion in the Lord of The Flies type story. The ending shows that no matter what you believe/how much you disagree about what happens after death, you will all end up in the same place. Also it shows that through the biggest tragedy can come some of the most important people/memories etc
Such a fan of this guy's talent! Loved him since "Party Of Five" then in "Lost". His role in "We Are Marshall" deserved way more recognition than was received, which was almost nil. He was fantastic in that! I'd love to see him in more roles, TV or big screen! More Matthew Fox please!
He doesn't want to do tv anymore he said after LOST he was done and wants to only do films but I guess hasnt found the right ones yet. He also said after LOST he doesn't have to worry about picking roles for the money as he was set for life so I'm guessing he's one of those actors that work on the roles he wants regardless of being promising big money maker roles/movies
Bingo, that's what killed that movie. The world knew Tyler Perry as some black dude that dressed up like an old grandmother in comedies. I love Matthew Fox. I loved Lost and I loved the ending. It was complex but if you actually understand what happened then it's good. Saying they were dead the whole time would have been predictable and it would've sucked. I'm sure he made a ridiculous amount of money from his role on Lost alone. That show was huge and is still one of Netflix's top/most watched shows. I'd love to see him come back to TV. He's very talented. I was amazed at his performance on Alex Cross. I thought it'd be weird after seeing him play Jack for so long but he really nailed it. I'd love to see him come back to tv. Definitely rooting for him

He's not a bad actor he just picks suck ass movies.. he would be good at playing someone misunderstood or weak, but too often he wants to be the hero.. he don't need to be a hero anymore he did that enough with Lost
I think one and the greatest thing among many reasons what make peaple watch Lost is acting of Matthew Fox as a main character Jack Shepherd.. Each of his emotions can flow to us.. Especially dramatic scenes was peak of acting that we could see in so few actors that kind of feelengs.. For me there might be other reasons as actor doesn t like roles, or can t find himself inside the characters showing him or etc..

These videos are weirdly insulting. People willingly decide to step away from acting for a while and suddenly Looper is making them look like unemployed losers.
Loved him in the movie, "We are Marshall." Very handsome man; He should have no problem doing well for himself in the future no matter what career path he decides upon.

He's a nice character
Excatly bro excatly
Do you still think so bro? I do!
I agree I always thought jack was fab!
100%
I don't care, I fucking loved Lost.
I loved lost like nothing else. then I watched the last episode, screamed "WTF ARE YOU F*ING KIDDING ME?", deleted all the files and never watched a single episode or even scene again...

To me Mathew Fox was the anchor of the show Lost, fantastic actor. It's almost criminal we don't see more of him on screen.
He wasn't. John Locke was, but Jack is #2.
Am I the ONLY one who didn't HATE the LOST finale?
SongmakersCry no, I thought it was a perfect ending.
SongmakersCry yes
Melanie Buser they were all dead
7 years later after the ending and people still think they all were dead all along. Tsk tsk tsk.
Jack's dad even says they're not dead ._.
Constructor Man well a spin-off is coming
Hello Jack... Don't tell me what I can't do!
John Locke Don't trust Ben
John Locke the Island is calling you xD
can you still walk or no...
I was a smoke monster John Locke fan
Remember the final episode of season 1 where Jack and Locke look down the hatch? That was awesome.
Jack is one of the best TV protagonist ever! I loved the finale to Lost
Ok so you loved the Lost finale... good for you. You know that just because you go against popular opinion to try and make yourself look edgy and cool, doesn't mean anyone is buying it.

Spartacus I'm aril shocked on how many people didn't understand it. Show was about characters, did they listen to what Christian was saying to Jack?
Why Hollywood Won't Cast Matthew Fox Anymore?Because they can't find him
Computer17Blue lol
Jerry W He could tell Robin to do his chores. Two orphans, just like Party of Five.
because he's....LOST? ;) I gotta admit if he's in Oregon it's hard to find people here!
My aunt thinks Matthew is smoking hot!
What can be more sensible than this statement?
WTF was wrong with the "LOST" finale? I thought it was pretty damn awesome.

Season 6 was great!
It was pretty bad (for Lost), hence the unanimous audience and critics rating it way below other seasons.
@@Hankblue I think you need to look up the word "unanimous"
I like and understand the ending to lost. I'm cool if people don't like it, but I do think it's over hated.

Oh look, someone else who doesn't understand Lost, and therefore assumes the finale was a let-down.
Well said!!!!
Evan Taylor yeah lost finale was so good
lost ending was boring and I understood every part of it.
I understood lost pretty well, and the finale was terrible
I think the ending was pretty good

The ending of Lost was the best work of art humanity is capable of. It was transcendental.
+1 - Totally agree.
I agree, I hope I can watch it one last time before dying

OH HELL YEAH TWD IS MY FAV SHOW
I started watching Lost last year & binged watched it on Netflix. Man I can only imagine the agony of waiting a week back then for a new episode. Thank God for Netflix
Yeah, cos there was no other streaming sites (legal or illegal) or rental services available seven years ago....
I envy you that you got to experience LOST uninterrupted that way. It was frustrating to wait for each week or between seasons.
It was really frustrating in the UK because America would get episodes earlier than us so we had to avoid the internet and spoilers like the plague.
It was actually cool. Because you got tall about Lost with your friends the whole week about what you think is happening.

I HATE it when people say the lost ending was confusing. If you actually watched the show from start to finish you would understand it.
I love him. It makes me cry when he cries😭😭 ... One of the best actors for emotional roles.
How can a person live without connection with social media 😭😭😭😭😭
To true Lost fans, the series finale wasn't bad at all. The only people who didn't like it were the ones who didn't understand the series.
Ryan Anthony true

It's still on Netflix even in 2024 by the way
I enjoyed the Lost finale and didn't find it confusing at all! But then, I always did watch more for the characters than the mysteries.
kattahj new spin-off of lost
Sad, Man this guy is such a great actor he was amazing in Lost and I saw him in bone tomahawk he was great.
I think Matthew Fox is a good actor. I hope he comes back!
He is and always will be a legend to me ❤️ ❤️
I'll always love Matthew Fox
The Alpha male of LOST that led all the sigmas, betas, omegas, gammas and deltas on the Island. Matthew will forever be an icon.
Why is it so hard for people to understand LOST? Once you wrap your head around the main theme, it's pretty straight forward to understand. And the ending was amazing! Those who don't like it just weren't paying attention.

Skinny Slim 5 season. 6 season is good
For me the best was 5 then 6, 4, 1, 2, 3
The "Lost" ending was dope! The show is really easy to understand if you just pay attention.
Last thing I remember seeing him in was World War Z where he was some no name soldier on screen for like 2 minutes.
I saw the film but I don't remember him there. Some memorable role...
Jack Is Back Yeah I kept thinking he'd appear again but nope.
Not a single mention of Vantage Point? Or did I hear wrong?
He was fantastic in that.
Serevarno that was during lost if I recall so he was still pretty fresh then
He was fantastic in that movie.
I’m a big fan of him but he was terrible in that movie.
Well, it doesn't help that they had Madea play Alex Cross.
Bingo, that's what killed that movie. The world knew Tyler Perry as some black dude that dressed up like an old grandmother in comedies. What Hollywood producer thought he could cross over to take a Harrison Ford type, action-thriller, role? It's absolute insanity Tyler Perry was cast in the lead for that.
That's probably why the movie really tanked. Matthew Fox absolutely prepared for that role and gave it his all.
Victor Lourenço, I couldn't agree more with you.
His Hollywood roles did kind of suck, not his fault, but his independent film roles are awesome even the films, Tomahawk was great.
Saying that the finale of Lost was the worst ever is pure nonsense.
Lost was amazing
I remember watching the Pilot in 04 as a teenager.
His legacy is cemented
who the hell could think that the lost finale isn’t the greatest finale ever. i feel like you just didn’t watch the show

I love Matthew Fox's teeth
OK??
I don't care Matthew fox is amazing 💪
Hard to blame Fox for Alex Cross..I actually think he was the best part. Tyler Perry was a huge casting mistake in that movie

It is ridiculous how people didnt understand Lost, just watch again, it is a masterpiece, a super Spiritual and also scientific serie, best ever.

He just played in 2 movies so there’s that…He is a leading man,period..
The man would've been perfect for the next roles:
Batman
Daredevil
Commander Shepard
Superman
Captain James Kirk

Because the movie industry is full of hypocrites
Lost's end was awesome, in my opinion.
And no, they hadn't been dead the whole show, people!
The lost finale was amazing
well he's back, gonna star in an upcoming show called Last Light

Whomever says that Lost's ending was bad without giving himself a chance to understand it, is truly dumb.
Such a good actor. Hope he gets some good parts in the future.
People didn't like the finale of Lost simply because they didn't pay enough attention.
