Mine is on the way. I have had really good experiences with Asvine as well as Majohn, Jinhao and Hongdian. It’s nice to get good pens at reasonable prices. Thanks for another great review!
I just inked my C2000. Beautiful pen and beautiful writer. If I had one criticism is that a larger converter could habe easily been used, like Jinhao did for the 9019.
How nice wood patterns in both pens. You've been quite lucky to get these colors and contrast in tones. I think I missed in the review this info, the blue pen is the one named "blue-red" or "red? Excellent review as always!
Nice review Shak. I've seen other reviews, and the one thing that I finally realized that is striking me as odd is the mix & match ends of the pen. Why not flat at both ends or stick to Cigar shaped?? To me a flat top cap is just to odd sitting on a cigar shaped body!!! As for the first Chinese pen of this year, maybe the C2000 is & maybe not since the new Majohn C5 is out. I had order the C5 on the 7th, and I just picked it up from the post office this afternoon (15 days to arrive). It's definitely different and a nice writing pen with good ink capacity with a Moonman Fine nib. There is one other new pen that I got that blew me away!! The pen is the new limited edition Gravitas Piston Carbon Black!! I think it has got to be Ben Walsh's best effort so far. It has a different feel to it, and the Fine nib I got with mine is so well tuned as to be like gliding over a buttery smooth surface. It is also one of the wettest fine nibs that I've written with I think mostly due to the Ebonite feed. Maybe something to think about in the future.
I think that mixed flat cigar shape is choosed for practical reasons. First because it's flat you can have it standing on your desk, secondly you can have the cap standing when writing, and the cigar ending feels better to hand.
Great review! Thank you. Would this nib work in Jinhao x159? Or vice versa? It would be interesting to have your opinion on the compatibility of nib #8 between Chinese makers : Asvine, Jinhao, WSh, Hongdian and Admok
Lots of wooden pens have the problem of their nibs drying out since the wood as a material is a porous one. I saw another reviewer having that problem with this model. Whats your experience in that regard? Thank you for the review.
@pensane Both of mine have a leak. I am going to take one for the team and try to PlastuliDip the inside....will report if that closes the seal.... But so far, I have not dried out. Time will tell.
only have the p20 from asvine , the medium nib was so poorly tipped i couldn't recover it from its void filled porous state so it is now ground to a stub . wingsung and jinhao are far better pens in my experience .
The deal breaker on this otherwise beautiful pen is the very loud branding of ASVINE front and center on the cap. This ruins the aesthetic for me as my eye immediately goes to the branding instead of the pen.

Thanks for the review and wish you a happy new year!
i bought mine with the stub nib and I am loving it. fantastic pen
Both are very nice colors.
The nib design though looks familiar to cross apogee.

Like in the first 2 seconds of the review 👌😍

Thanks. My C5 arove today 😀. Have to experience it a bit. I am waiting for the Gravitas monster with 8 nib.

You got a great green stabilized wood pattern. I myself received a very striated pattern.
I have ordered the other colors as well. We shall see.
Interesting, that the Bock 380 nib is not fitting. Can you explain wy? Feeddesign? Housing? Threads?
Housing is too big for the pen.
Great review! Thank you.

No dryouts in 2 weeks. But time will tell.
In many of these C2000 pens, there is a poor seal in the cap where the clip band is.

Hope they release a gold nib soon.
Do your pens dry out? The nib on my C2000 dries out completely in less than a day. It was so annoying I just returned it to Amazon unfortunately.
Going on 2 weeks. No issues yet.
I have a video about that. It’s a poor seal in the cap where the clip band is.
@@pensane I tried using a bulb syringe like you did and the air literally gushes out of the clip ring! That's definitely the problem
What paper do you use?
Clairefontaine 90 gsm Séyès ruled paper.
Did you use a MB 149 nib in the C2000? It performs well?
Yes! It does very well, but not 300 dollars more well. The Asvine nib is great.
@ Great to know, thanks!
Lots mixed reviews on this ??? I like the looks of it and the size . The drying out would be a deal breaker for me .
I have heard. I haven't had an issue with it drying out so far.

This nib is definitely is their best nib yet. I have used Asvine nibs b4, nit my favorite nibs. You are right.

You could probably fill it in with a more subtle color.
