  • Just another great time at Way Out Salvage.
    Rather a starkly different experience than shopping online.
    Brought home some seriously tasty treasures.
    Saw quite a few different cool things.

    So cool to have a bone yard full of original vw stuff near by. Thanks for the great video! ✌

      I’m pretty stoked about it. There are a number of items I haven’t found there, but I guess that’s to be expected at this point.

    Way Out Salvage is on my bucket list to visit one of these days. I didn't know they had split window buses. I'm presently working on rewiring my bus with a new harness and switching everything to 12 volt. Another great video!

      Thank you. Yes, but I will say that the second one in the video seems to be his only real project. The first one belongs to a client and the others I’ve seen have been pretty heavily hacked.

    Wonderful videos, thank you.
    I love those old scrap yards in the USA. Unfortunately we no longer have that in Europe. It makes you greedy for parts.

    Good to see you were able to find those nylon bushings for the choke retainers. Hopefully the screws will stay tight now. I love Arkansas curvy two lanes! Looking forward to heading to Eureka Springs for the show in a little over a month.

    • @vdubjunkie
      @vdubjunkie  11 месяцев назад

      Agreed. Now the tough decision for me is to add the blue loctite and not know if the bushings would have been sufficient alone.. Make sure to stop by and say hi when you’re at the Eureka Springs show!

    • @vdubjunkie
      @vdubjunkie  11 месяцев назад +2

      Ah, you are paying attention. Yes, I’m trying to keep from overexciting the little Mrs. Also, it was my first trip to Way Out where I verified they had no correct windshield wiper arm. I REALLY NEED to just pick one up on thesamba.

      @@mrpaisleyshirt this has been my logic the entire time. I believe I covered it in one of my videos, but we lost the one wiper during a particularly hard rain on our trip home from Oregon. That was white knuckle driving. I’m glad you like my kitty. He’s been very vocal lately and I’ve been waiting for him to provide me with just the right clip.
