Iam still baffled that a senior driver in the WestVirginia Mountains just bought an RX8 from new, probably enjoyed it all he could until parked. Iam still not keen on keeping the rotary alive, its clearly hurt and needs major work. Atleast it looks cool now, taht blue shines now.
It's so crazy think how certain cars reduce anything in life we take for granted the RX8 and now its no more. But what is crazy is ive always liked them just needed opportunity and time to get one before realizing they were ending production. Years passed and with a following they remained relevant within those that were still touch with them until they weren't. Same thing happened to the RX7. I can guarantee this video is going to help stir the pot because these cars are going to go up in value. I just don't understand why Mazda left it out to dry. Nissan had the 350-370z to the now new iteration. Thats over 20 years just there. The reason the RX disappeared is because they let it. When will these companies understand that people want these cars but they need to better market them and make them more affordable. They could bring the exact same RX8 back today with out pretty much any changes aside from minor updates to engine and electronic tech and it would still sell matter of fact all these companies could
if you didn't gut the entire interior (as well as inside the doors), there is still nasty stuff inside the car were the seats put back in wet? Sure, it was a wet vav and wiped down, but that doesn't remove 100% of the moisture in the fabric/foam. I'd let the seats sit in the sun ☀️ for a majority of the day (or 2) before putting back in. That's what I did w/my WRX back seat when I spilled 2 gallons of water water on it. I set the seat in the summer sun and let the black fabric do its thing, and lifted the footwell carpet up and put fans on the the rear seat area for 2-3 days straight w/windows/doors open.
when it's that dirty out side, is it a good idea to pressure wash first? i would think maybe wet the car first and foam it to first lubricate and loosen the dirt first before actually hitting it with the pressure washer it's a beautiful car and color, it's such a shame the owners would let it rot like that in a barn...
As a previous Mazda owner. They use the most beautiful yet delicate and easily damaged paint I’ve ever come across. You can literally scratch a Mazda by looking at it harshly.
I got to drive a blue Rx8 just like this for an extended period just after its intake at a dealership I was working at a few years ago. Had to drive it around the city for Diag after doing a bunch of fuel leak/coolant fixes. To be honest just not my cup of tea aside from the high redline. As a stock car its pretty gutless but its alright, comfy interior.
Best particular video and series of the barn find RX-8 will definitely be one of my favorites. Do you like the last 5 years I have to round the idea of what vehicle I would like to buy it having to be manual and rear wheel drive not knowing which direction to go I've always seemed to come back to the Mazda RX-8 for variety of reasons in this hands down is the the one that I would want if I did go this route except for maybe one other RX-8 however this last generation version of the RX8 in that same color blue and the rb3 or r3 model was always my favorite with those Wheels it is by far one of the nicest looking vehicle still looks good today even though it has and I was looking into them several years back and I wanted to get this very model with a supercharger kit not to take away from the RX8 in

They offer so much more than just entertainment. There's always a uniqueness to what you cover in all of your videos and I find them to be incredibly engaging and interesting more so the education aspect you get is a major Plus in my book. The abundance of automotive channels on RUclips can sometimes be exhausting trying to even find something the interest you what you feel with all of it there and available there be something that would catch your attention however that's not the case but with yours I always find them to be unique amongst the thousands of others out there you're always able to provide something different
Please don't go over the top with this build like you did with STI. Keep this one simple..
They could bring the exact same RX8 back today with out pretty much any changes aside from minor updates to engine and electronic tech and it would still sell matter of fact all these companies could
if you didn't gut the entire interior (as well as inside the doors), there is still nasty stuff inside the car
were the seats put back in wet? Sure, it was a wet vav and wiped down, but that doesn't remove 100% of the moisture in the fabric/foam. I'd let the seats sit in the sun ☀️ for a majority of the day (or 2) before putting back in. That's what I did w/my WRX back seat when I spilled 2 gallons of water water on it. I set the seat in the summer sun and let the black fabric do its thing, and lifted the footwell carpet up and put fans on the the rear seat area for 2-3 days straight w/windows/doors open.
when it's that dirty out side, is it a good idea to pressure wash first? i would think maybe wet the car first and foam it to first lubricate and loosen the dirt first before actually hitting it with the pressure washer
it's a beautiful car and color, it's such a shame the owners would let it rot like that in a barn...
As a previous Mazda owner. They use the most beautiful yet delicate and easily damaged paint I’ve ever come across. You can literally scratch a Mazda by looking at it harshly.
🖕Ben T. for finding such a gem, this is a classic. ❤❤❤ this series, keep the R3 RX8 OG! Regardless, can't wait to see what you do with it!
This car is just gorgeous
The last shot...awesomely good. ❤
Seen this swap with RX7s but never RX8 !! Great 👍 video!! Please don't k swap it like every other creator plz..
Wow! She last drove right as the pandemic kicked off, and turned to THAT in >4 years? Crazy what sitting can do to a car.
Ngl, I'm about 100x more excited for this car than the Eclipse.
Best particular video and series of the barn find RX-8 will definitely be one of my favorites. Do you like the last 5 years I have to round the idea of what vehicle I would like to buy it having to be manual and rear wheel drive not knowing which direction to go I've always seemed to come back to the Mazda RX-8 for variety of reasons in this hands down is the the one that I would want if I did go this route except for maybe one other RX-8 however this last generation version of the RX8 in that same color blue and the rb3 or r3 model was always my favorite with those Wheels it is by far one of the nicest looking vehicle still looks good today even though it has and I was looking into them several years back and I wanted to get this very model with a supercharger kit not to take away from the RX8 in
Great detail video. Now build and port the renesis motor to give yourself endless content if replacing apex seals trying to achieve more than 230 hp. Dozens of videos.
Ha ha. Bob King Mazda is where I bought my first FD back in 1997. They did me right though.
Wow that awesome a practically new RX-8 that means you'll be able to drive that beauty around for like 2 months before it need a engine rebuild 😂😂😂
I am here to see if anyone else is talking about the fact that we are getting only one video a week and today's video was 'how we washed our rx8 in 14 minutes.' It's true, it's a well-scripted, really nice vlog content, but we are here because we love G&G and we want more.
Suggestion: Take still-frames from the footage you shot so you get all possible angles of the exterior, and make a wrap with the "dirt-look" it had^^
What a colour! The amount of stone chips is crazy though, must have been a rally fan
