Dear Xandria fans,
Xandria is finally reborn.
It has been quite a journey so far, and a new journey is about to begin right now.
There will be a lot to come still, and "Reborn" is just the first sign of life for all of you amazing fans out there. Thank you so much for your patience and support, in this time needed to be coming back to life! We cannot even begin to tell you how much we appreciate the warm welcoming words of many of you in the last days! Thank you all! We truly hope you will be enjoying this new song!
It tells you about the time when you feel that something very precious in your life, the passion that you give all your heart into, is about to die - and that you need all your strength for going through a hard time in which you have to painfully sacrifice and leave behind things, to let it be reborn.
There definitely was a lot of passion and heart going into this song, too.
"Reborn" also introduces our new singer Ambre Vourvahis, who for us is the perfect match for the new Xandria you are going to experience! You will hear something more about her very soon! In this song you can hear already a few of her diverse voice facettes, but she will show you quite some more still, so be prepared for some surprises…
As you can see there are also a few other new faces.
Their names are: Dimitrios Gatsios (drums), Tim Schwarz (bass) and Rob Klawonn (guitar).
You will soon learn more about these both great people and musicians, too!
Our former members went on to new musical endevours, and we wish all of them the best for the future, in gratefulness and respect for the times we shared and everything that they have done for Xandria.
We want to share a statement of the long time members Philip, Gerit and Marco with you all:
"After a long journey together, during which we were sharing great experiences, but as well have developed in different directions, we have decided that it is time for each of us to go our own way. We would like to thank the fans for the many wonderful memories, and wish each other all the best for the future. See all of you soon out there with our new or old projects. Wow, what a range! she can growl, do opera and clear vocals. Dances as a pop star and she is cute AF. Such a complete artist. Let's hope the band learns from past mistakes and treat her well. I hope to hear this talent from years to come!

I really can't stand this "versatility obsession" anymore! It sounds as if the great singer can only be the one who's the most versatile. For me, one can be an outstanding singer even if he/she can do only one thing. And it doesn't have to be something "spectacular" either.

Ambre Vourvahis, you are amazing!!! Xandria is alive!
Best all around vocalist Xandria's ever had! She can do it all, even operatic, though I'm hoping they minimize the growls and operatic crooning. This song is a masterpiece, perfectly showcasing her amazing voice.
A growl here and there can do wonders imo, especially if it's good growls like this vocalist has. But yeah maybe not overusing it, you can listen to mdm if you want much growls. Don't get me wrong, I love melodic dm but sometimes you want the softer more melodic cleans.
I hope Ambre gets treated better than her predecessors. Followed her youtube career attentively and for my taste she has a great voice. I hope the best for her.
Can I find something from her today? Where have you found her, under what name? I searched here on RUclips under her name, but only found an empty account but with 500 subscribers🙂
@@marie-sofieslatt9001 I just checked myself and indeed her channel is empty. So I sent her a message. And she considers to re-upload them some time in the future. i found her by sheer coincident when her cover of "When The World Explodes" appeared in my newsfeed and I was blown away! She has a) a crystal clear voice (here in this really good song she doesn't show her full potential) and b) she is one of the few vocalists who do operatic vocals AND growls. And she showed that in her cover of "When The World Explodes". I really hope she re-uploads it.

@@alicantuncer4800 Very badly, their health was not taken seriously. Both Dianne Van Giersbergen and Manuela Kraller wrote statements about the circumstances of them leaving Xandria on their Facebook pages, shortly after that, Lisa Middelhauve; who's the original singer of Xandria wrote an statement supporting both Manuela and Dianne.
Glad to see that Xandria is back ! But how long will it take for them to drive this new vocalist crazy ???
The whole Band has changed this time.
More or less my thoughts. Their second to last album the vocalist left, their last album the vocalist apparently left, and now this new girl. She has a great voice, and she's hot, but how long will she stick around I wonder?

@@lowroar5127 Dianne and Manuela were forced to perform when they were medically advised NOT to and treated like their health meant nothing. Dianne posted a statement explaining this the year she left and then Manuela did as well, saying her departure was for the same reason. Even Lisa was on Dianne and Manuela's side.

Well, I won't lie, I preferred Manuela and Dianne, but Ambre is interesting, especially in her vocalise parts (3:05 actually this was good!). Sweet voice, it only lacks the operatic depth. For me - it's a pity, but I'm sure many people will love Ambre. And anyway... I'm so happy to see Xandria back. Waiting for another songs!
She is clearly a very good singer, but as with the new singer for Gloryhammer, they both feel very safe.

This got me hooked! Just discovered Xandria and learned about their "interesting" past. IMO the song is epic but it could use some serious double-base action at the end to amp it up even more. Ah well, let's see what they are up to in the future.

I don't know if to be concerned or embarrassed that I had no idea till now that my favourite song on this album had a music video... Nearly 23 months later...

I wish this new singer the best. Vocals have always been the element that’s been Xandria’s best. Each previous vocalist have always brought something great to an otherwise dime a dozen band. Considering how problematic these guys can be, all the more power to this new lady and what she’ll bring to the table.
I saw that they changed the vocalist quite frequently, which is not a good sign even on it's own, but it's not just the singer. In general, this band has an alarming "turnover rate"... just what was going on with this band really?
@@c.james1 True. I hadn’t even noticed that until later. Marco seems to be full of it. As the composer of their music, and having produced the majority of their albums, the reasonings each vocalist left was due to their health not being taken into consideration when it comes to their live shows. I can only speculate after a while the other members got sick of him and he went and fired everyone. He doesn’t bring anything special to their music, so his ego must be bigger than his head.
@@Mauntium Definitely not a good sign, especially if their reasonings were the same. Now to fire the other members and re-emerge? This is one of the amazingly few times a bands background effects my ability to enjoy the music as I normally would.
In fairness though I do wish the new people well as they had nothing to do with the predecessors departures.
@@omari6108 Hopefully Marco can work closer with Ambre's coach to keep her in the pocket when she can maximize performance and not damage her voice. I think though, every band has to have a driving asshole/critic/creative that pushes the group hard enough to get to the top. Nightwish has Tuomas (probably not an asshole, but a great critic instead), Metallica has Lars, Xandria has Marco. It's a function of any ~5 person group that competes in an intense environment: there's usually one hardass driving, one or two that do a lot of extra work, one that de-escalates conflict (that holds the group together), and one or two that are either new and learning or do the minimal amount and 'phones it in'. My thought is that Marco just needs to make sure he has good de-escalator, and to not fire them.
Edit: just saw that Ambre got credit for story and concept- maybe a sign of great things to come.
@@Mauntium Dianne made a statement when she left about the band's and the management's treatment of her. It didn't show them in a great light. Hopefully with almost all new members things will be better for the new singer, but I'm not holding much hope.

Xandria belongs to marco, I don't think he would give up with his own band and let others use the name he invented...let's hope he will learn from his mistakes, nightwish did and now floor is almost more famous than them 😁

I have followed Xandria since Lisa. I always got angry every time they changed their Vocalist. Believe me, i want to hate this new vocalist. But she's the whole package. She can sings very well, she can growl, she can do operatic also. And she's so exotic. So beautiful. Love her.
More a reason to hate the band, rather than the vocalist, but okay...
Their vocalists have left by choice, and it's been due to the mistreatment they receive. Diane Van Giersbergen brought light to this issue when she left, and other former vocalists said they left for the same reason. There is nothing to hold against any vocalist present, past, or, in all likelihood, future.

What I really like is the song length, usually pop songs (and some metal ones also) would end at like 3:40, but Xandria makes them the proper length. Though for symphonic metal this is nothing unusual, you have even 10-15min ones.
For metal 4 to 5min is quite common I would say.
This song lives rent-free in my mind! Ambre is FANTASTIC

I like it all, but especially the operatic stuff, since Nightwish had moved into being more folk by the time Manuela came around.

Xandria has once again blown my mind!! Ambre is an excellent vocalist and I can't wait to hear more
+1 for the growl.
I think it's important for the band not to try to do old stuff with new stuff.
What I mean is Ambre has to bring her own style, and eventhough I'll miss the Opera-Giersbergen-style, that one growl gives me hope about what's to come.
Looking forward to seeing more good stuff like this one.

If you have ears, she certainly isn't. Very weak voice and only plays on her sex appeal, she moves like a stripper. Disappointing AF!

I have listened to this song about 20 times since they released it. I couldn't put my finger on what I thought was wrong so I went back and listened to some Dianne Xandria and it became pretty clear. This lead singers voice just gets lost in the music. Her voice doesn't seem to be strong enough for this type of music or it could just be the mixing. Now this is only one song. Maybe it is just this song. I am not going to compare her to Dianne. That just wouldn't be fair. I am really interested in how she handles Dianne era music though. I really wasn't all that impressed with the growling but whatever. That's just personal preference. I do wish the band all the luck in the world and hope their tour goes well. I am also interested and anticipating hearing more from this latest version of the band.
I hope she sings Dianne's songs less operatic. This "poppy" voice is a breath of fresh air for xandria, latest albums were "too much" (too much choirs, too much operatic).
