Man now that Kawhi Leonard now that man is a leader he may not talk much but he leads by example and he made that mentally fragile Toronto Raptors squad into a mentally tough and mentally composed title contender
Reese B true but when you are the Leader of a team the team takes on the mentality of the Leader Kawhi gives them confidence because they have a guy that can go get it
Kyrie doesnt listen to the coach. The success of the celtics last year without him affected him. They were good last year with him as he was buying in to the offense. This year he went full on mamba mode and that hurt the team.
I mean no disrespect to you COJ144, but you never asserted unequivocally that the Celtic, Kyrie leadership experiment would never work. It was the naysayers in the comment section that understood that Kyrie was neither good enough nor strong enough to take the leadership back, of that team after their tough seven games in the ECF's last year. It was your assertion however in multiple Kyrie videos, that the Celtics were better with him on the floor, that he would or should show them in practice who the leader was, that Gordon Hayward was the real problem on the team, and that Brad Stevens should have fleshed out the roles for everyone on the team better. There is enough blame for this season to go around, but Kyrie is chiefly responsible for the collapse. He needed to come in, and earn the leadership back in practice and on the court in the regular season. Instead he waged war against his teammates through the media, ala LeBron James. The brother is intelligent, but mercurial and tone deaf. He is a #2 on a good team.
It is still too soon to say Kyrie is just a #2 on title team. He is still young and still learning. The jury is still out on him. Kyrie got a nice dose of reality. Some guys are instantly leaders while other guys grow into it.
@@kharis87 Kyrie is young in real life. But this was his eighth season in the league. If he were a leader, it would have shown already. LeBron isn't a leader either. Giannis is a leader. Kawhi is a leader by example. Curry is a leader. You know it when you see it.
@@PGO_Gaming first year leading a team. Not every great player can do it from the jump. After this season coming up we will see whats what. He has to watch some footage from Isiah Thomas and John Stockton as well(if he hasnt already). That is the style he has to play in to begin with. We will see.
@@PGO_Gaming i think Lebron is an overrated leader but he is a leader nonetheless. He is just so dominant that his weakneseses mentally get covered alot of the times. Kyrie doesnt have that luxury. Yea Giannis, Kahwi and Curry are way better leaders. That is obvious.
You ever see that movie Major League and its sequel? 2018 Celtics was the underdog original, and 2019 the sequel; Kyrie is the guy Parkman who should have been traded for value by the deadline or even that he went from Wesley Snipes to Omar Epps
Kyrie really showed the type of leader he was vs Milwaukee. Shooting the team out of the game and being the last guy back on defense.

No doubt Lowry has always played hard but now seems like a pitbull with intelligence

You can't lead others if you don't give two shits about them.
I always bring up the real Isiah Thomas as the prototype for all these led, shoot first, point guards to follow.

Good point

just because you know what it takes, doesn't mean that you know how.
Kyrie should go to philly he can be point while Ben be the foward
He don't have to be the leader, why can't he just come to play and give his best everything else Will come to play COJ
Sinickas Davis
Because Kyrie himself has stated that he’s the leader. It wasn’t a misguided assumption.
