Hi Phil. Thanks for your comment and our best wishes for 2023 back to you and your family also. We did have a look around Kuranda and then got the Scenic Railway back down again. Just haven't had time to edit and post that one yet. Have a fantastic trip on the Luminosa.
Hi Rob & Ali, thanks for sharing this great video. It all looks amazing. Did you do the ships tour or make your own way? We are looking forward to getting back into cruising with our cruise in February to NZ. Hoping to do the circumnavigation of australia in 2024 so we can see Cairns/ Kurunda. Best wishes for the new year .
I’d love the answer to this question too as it seems $75pp dearer to do it through the ships tours, when the only difference is getting from the port to a city pick up stop. We are going on April 1st for the barrier reef discovery cruise.
Hi Elizabeth. Thanks for the comments and for supporting us. We did the ship's tour. It's a fairly long day to do the Skyrail and the Scenic Railway and also spend some time in Kuranda, which is what we did. Timings can be quite tight if the ship is only in port for the day so we were happy to pay the extra for the security of knowing that we wouldn't get left behind.
This is really informative - thank you. I'd really like to know whether you did the ship excursion or did this on your own. If you did go solo, how did you get to the coach to start the gondola journey?
Hi Fiona. Thanks for the support and comment. We did the Skyrail along with the Scenic Railway and booked it as a package from the ship. It's more expensive but this is a long day and we like the security of not missing out if the ship gets in late or missing the ship if we get back late from the trip.
I did the audio guide. Brilliant.
Thank you so much!! Less stress more fun,., I’d be worried the whole time about What to do and where to go !!
Loved the way Ally did her hair
It's so humid up there that you have to have it tied up.
