- In todays video we answer the question does acceptance rate matter with walmart spark delivery. I hope you enjoy this video please give it a thumbs up comment and subscribe.
What is your acceptance rate? Do you think it matters?
10% and I get decent orders as well. I thought customer rating mattered but was told it doesn't. My Arrival Time is 100% and I been late a few times, and cancelled a few orders and my drop rate is at 0%. I think it takes a while for them to update the metrics.
26% acceptance rate her. 🤷🏾♂️
48% it don't matter
28% I get 35-45 orders all day. And unlike doordash, Spark isn't over saturating the market with drivers. (I'm San Diego) Once it finally opened up here I'm pretty sure they closed that intake door for new drivers only about 2 months after so I literally see the same drivers all the time. Those other apps can really push that (acceptance matters narrative) because they know there will always be tons of new drivers that will take any and everything thinking they have to
It was my first day. The rest of my days. I've received my tips. I didn't know customers do tipbating
Because we are contractors, acceptance rate should be ILLEGAL, we determine whats lucrative for our time!
Exactly!!!!! I couldn’t agree more
I was told that Walmart can do what they’re doing with the acceptance rate because they’re allowing you access to their customer base.
Exactly
Last Thursday I noticed I wasn’t getting any offers at all, I contacted customer support and they told me it was because my acceptance rate was low.. it was at 27. She told me to accept whatever came my way which I did. After accepting 3 offers which were very random, my acceptance rate went up to 30 and good orders starting popping up. So yeah.. acceptance rate matters 😊
Just a tip my husband taught me on the cases of water. If you can get it up on your shoulder, it will balance with minimal effort. It is much easier than carrying it in front 😄
Thanks for sharing!!
That definitely works and you get the job done faster!!
Had 7 cases of the 40 pack great value waters to deliver last night in the rain come to find out it was apartment third floor no elevator! Was so tired afterwards all my energy was gone
Sadly that will damage your spine. I found out the hard way
@@terrancejones6572 omg.
Imagine yourself as a business owner dealing with a time sensitive service… would you send orders out first to people who are likely to accept, or people who are unlikely to accept? Maybe at high volume stores it doesn’t matter as much, because they’ll need as many people as possible to cover orders, but in low-mid size volume areas, you’ll need to be on your A-game.
I wonder if it MATTERS because I am in the green on ALL of my Metrics and when I sign in it gives me offers like 9 batch orders 50 miles $34.95. I'm not taking that and it's from Sam's. Not gonna stick me picking up a million cases of water. You can Never tell if it will fit in your car so pass. In 2 days I went from 67% to a 42% because of that. I just turned the app OFF and didn't chance anymore crap.
What size is your vehicle, according to the spark program where you pick what you drive?
AR- 56%
On time arrival- 100%
O% drop rate
- customer ratings.
I've been driving for spark for about 3 months now and I've only completed 59 total trips. My advice ? Start as early as possible as you'll only get about 1 delivery an hour
At almost 600 deliveries for a spark And some days are good start early but usually I start about 4 when all the other drivers have went home. And the evening time is super busy for me. The other day I made $159 in 2 hours.
AR 68%, OTA 100%, DR 0, CR 5...I still get crappy orders all day. I am in a busy market. I believe that the algorithms identify that you take crap orders and will give you low offers; this pertains to the folks that try to maintain a very high rating. I keep mine in the middle on purpose. I have turned down a crap order ($9, 10 miles, 2 batch order) and immediately afterward get a good order. They won't to pay the least amount of course, so there are many variables. I know since Walmart purchased DDI, it's been a sh*t show for orders where I am located. Orders pay half what they used to.
That is 100% true an algorithm repeats itself..
Hahaa for sure ! At the beginning I was getting all the batch of 6-7 orders per trip and going around 19 miles away for $30 dlls. I was new and wanted to show promptness, but the app kept sending me those, which now I usually wait about a minute to 90 seconds and then more orders appear. Hahaha tricky algorithm but sometimes I’ll take them to be busy on peak traffic hours
Yea it’s confusing …I became interested in Spark when we got a delivery and the Spark Driver said she loved it and the pay was good …since I was in need of income … I was diligent and was able to get onto the platform. What I found out is that the orders were so much less than I anticipated …my first day Sparking I literally burned a tank of gas with just a couple of orders … I like the possibility of earning money with a flexible schedule… I want it to work out so I don’t have to work a fixed 8-4:30 weekly schedule. I’ma keep trying though
Dear….why don’t you have a cart to make it easier on yourself? Thanks for sharing your trips and info.
We started doing spark a month ago and our orders are no less than $20 and as high as $55 and our acceptance rate is still not the greatest being we just started and still get great orders. So we definitely haven’t figured out the ends and outs of spark yet thank you for this video 💪🏼💪🏼
Wow! I need those $55 orders here lol thanks for watching
@@LifeWithLei yes definitely and of course your welcome 😊
ummm...what is your Acceptance rating? Wouldnt you think to post it since we are discussing it?🤔
Well considering the first week that I worked and I had you know no stats at all. I was getting excellent orders. I made lots of money and then now I have stats and my septum freight. So below 40% and how I'm not making as much money and I'm not seeing the best orders so it kind of does
The Acceptance rate doesn't seem to matter, until Spark decides to FLOOD your market with new drivers, which they will do if you aren't taking all the bad orders for them. THEN, the new drivers will steal all the work from you because they have all green stats right off rip. That's how Spark works.
I'm a cherry picker too, acceptance rate stays in orange. It bothers me a little but as long as I keep getting decent orders, oh well...orange it is
😂 definitely that’s how I felt at first now I don’t even care
@@LifeWithLei I think it is depends on areas it matter or doesn't matter. if you still gettin decent orders then you're good but where I come from (HTX) so yeah I need AR go up for best offers so i guess it depends on where yall hustling at.
I try to accept most of my orders and usually as the day goes by they get better. I’m at 93%
what happens if I receive multiple round robin offers and accept one will the others count against my acceptance rate?
No it won’t count against you
I need to know what I can do when my on time rate goes down because the app sends me an order that says pick up time is 5 minutes BEFORE the time I clicked accept? I’ve had that several times lately and my on time rate is now $84%.
I hope you have a folding cart and stair climber since this vid❤
It does matter I know from
Experience! Spark will all of a sudden slow down on giving u orders and the amount of $$$ goes down until u build up your metric
The $$$ isn’t all that anyway without the (TIPS)/gratuity, that’s the majority of your pay , seriously at $9-$10 an order only , it would take more than just a day or week to get a descent paycheck! Ijs
One of the things that bothers me about being spark delivery driver is that , your tips are not guaranteed and are added into the $offer , but customers has 24-72 hours to adjust or take it back ! So in reality you have no idea how much $ you will make day to day etc.
Yes that’s the biggest problem for me I’ll try to calculate my pay and then my numbers are always off because of the tip baiters.
Just started driving and already found out about tip baiters!👎👎👎🤬🤬🤬🤬makes me so mad. Everyone needs to write in "report a problem" customers should NOT be able to remove tip, only increase should be allowed
Im new to this, how can you tell if the order is an apartment and not a house in Walmart Spark?
Normally you can see an apartment number or unit number in the address that is one indicator
@@LifeWithLei is it before you accept the order?
I was delivering today and I got a huge drop of orders. I of course couldn’t take all of them. I then got a round robin order but didn’t take it. Right after that Spark shut me off from getting orders for the rest of the day. This was at 4pm. Have you ever had that happen?
Yes that happened to me a few times like damn your not gonna send me anything for hours lol
I see advance auto, and sam's club stores in my area, and never get any hits from any of those stores. Only walmart. Do I have to be with Spark for a while to get them?
I was wondering the same thing
maybe try to get closer to Advanced Auto or Sam's Club and wait till popping up.
@@theluckyman there is only one Sam's I rarely ever pick up from, and it just happens to be in the same parking lot as a walmart, lol.
Just started doing spark and I have less then 10% AR now. Don;t care I wont do crappy orders. I go where it makes sense. UE DD Spark Instacart w/e. This is a business for ME not the companies I happen to ge the job from at that time. Been gigging for a few years now.
Interesting. I am new to Spark. I've done 22 orders. My acceptance rate is 6%. It seems like a lot of order have the 40 ct cases of water. I'm 5'2" and 56. Just had a spinal fusion 6 months ago so I try to stay away from those. Plus I'm taking care of my 87 year old mom. I cannot take her delivering with me either. I am still learning and appreciate all you share.
Yeah I hate the water orders, you can see everything in an order before you accept that way you can avoid the cases of water.
@@LifeWithLei yeah it gonna be hard cuz order can be snatched in a seconds
I called them to remove some store. When I finished the called I received a order for one of them😂😂. Also when my acceptance rate is high I get less and more crappie order. My acceptance rate was 16% , I received big order. This the time I released acceptance rate does not matter for me
What I want to know is if you shop are you required to pay for bags? Everytime I call support I get put on hold at store they say you are. In my State they dont use plastic bags any longer. Their bags are 75 cents.
The customer pays for the bags
One thing I wonder about is whether letting orders time out as opposed to rejecting them incurs the same rejection metric.
I actually had a scenario where I did focus on improving my acceptance rate and I progressively got worse orders. Haha... so I stopped that and now I just make sure I stay above 20% and I still get worthwhile orders. I think the main thing it impacts is just being higher priority in the round robin which really only impacts the down hours where there are less orders (For my zone, 10a-12p usually).
Lol wow! Got worse orders?? that’s crazy!
Your acceptance rate is determined by acceptance of Round Robin orders, not all orders affect your acceptance rate.
Yes it does the algorithm
If 5 orders pop up at the same time, do you accept all of them at the same time or are you only able to accept one at a time?
You can only accept one at a time
My acceptance rate is 60% and I'd say it helps me get the best ones
I tried taking a store off my zone due to safety concerns but it's been months and nothing has changed. I don't think you can do this.
Awww man I guess they changed it that sucks. Thanks for sharing
Yap, they don't take stores off anymore for any reason. I tried to take one off too for safety reasons, and they didn't take it off even after several back and forth emails and calling. And finally one customer support agent told me they don't take them off. So I think they used to, but not anymore; unless some markets still do it; some of these things can vary from market to market.
When you say $2/Mile is that round trip or one way?
Yes round trip
My acceptance rate has been 100 for months like over 6 or months,. I accept all the crap orders but seeing the comments I just may stop accepting everything and take the chance on my rate going down and getting better offers.
What if you have so many orders that you don’t know which one is the round robin?
They way I tell is that it will say pick up by :45 and the others will probably said pick up ASAP
Liked and subscribed once I heard apartment and I gotta walk...and 2 waters! Grrr
What is the difference between round robins and 1st come 1st serve? This is literally my 1st day out there. And I watched your previous videos and you were talking about what time you can pick at? All my orders say pick up now
Round robins are orders that drop 20 past each hour. These orders go against your acceptance rate. First come first serve are orders that need to be picked up asap and don’t go against your acceptance rate, hope that helps.
Might want to invest in a fold up beach cart/wagon. They don’t take up much space and definitely help with those apartment orders. Good content. Keep goin. 💪🏾
Those folding carts are LIFE SAVERS!!!
Yeah go to my channel I have a video while I’m using a cart. All my customers think I’m smart for having a cart👍🏿😇
@@ddisdelivery Yup I made a video about my car on my channel. There is no way in hell I would drag all that mess, without some assistance
How can you get the wagon up stairs?
I have a cooler.. old on the inside.. then stack ambient on top. I also have milk crates to devide eggs, bread, chips, lightbulbs etc
I say it does I went from getting 6 - 10 offers at one time to now getting one if any
84% as of last week, took every order & not let any vanish, acceptance as of today 66% & still dropping fast. Was going for a 100% but there must be a bad glitch in the system. Have notified several times but nothing has happened
Buy a small cart, its worth it
What do you do when you are pulling your cart and then..... ONLY to find out you have stairs? Do you leave the cart? Do you muscle it and carry it all up the stairs, including the cart? Just curious is all. Thanks!
I didn't no that about blocking a store so thank you thank you because it's 1 store I been trying to get off my route lol
Yeah it will help get your acceptance rate up!
Loving your videos, very helpful. Quick question, on the shop and deliver orders is there a Walmart Spark card that us needed?
Thank you! No it is prepaid so you just go to the self checkout scan the code and someone will verify the items, then you just bag and go.
@@LifeWithLei do you have walmart neighborhood market in your area?
Which ones are the round robins orders? The ones that give you 2 or 3 min to accept?
Yep. I just started 2 wks ago my acceptance was 2% lol and I started taking those and my rate went up to 14% in about 3 days.
Round robins are the orders that say you have one new offer to accept. You usually have about a minute to accept
@@LifeWithLei Ok sometimes more than one offer comes through at one time and its kinda hard to tell which one its saying it for. So its about a min not the ones that give you 2 or 3 min?
@@mrautoguy8419 the ones with the higher minutes are the first come first serve or the high demand orders.
@@sherika6041 Thank you!
Get a little cart it helps
Hi Lei my AR is 58% right now and I don't believe your AR matter at all. My AR went down to 47% and I still got great orders. I would like to add that it seems like when they have alot of incentives one week then the following week they don't the offers are small at least in my market which is baltimore.
I’ve been trying to get my acceptance rate up but I’m too picky 😂😂. I have noticed that too.
I just did a day of work and every customer took their tips. Walmart said they can do that. And they get alot of calls in every state for that.😡
Omg that truly sucks I’m sorry!!!! They really neeed to change that because most of the times if something is wrong it’s not the drivers fault
@@LifeWithLei Exactly
My metrics suck. I don't care in just here 4 the money lol
Ar 12%
Drop 2%
Ota 100%
Rating 3.8 😀
I will say I think k it depends on where you live. I spark full time. Have a 84% acceptance rate If I drop below a 76% in my town I either won't get orders or I will get a lot of orders with no tips. I've talked a few of the drivers in my area and they pretty much told me if I drop below 70% then it's not even worth the time to spark because of either no orders or low paying orders. I could be wrong though. Just when my acceptance rate drops so does my pay.
Yeah I wonder if the markets are different, I haven’t had above a 40% acceptance rate and my orders seem to be pretty good and consistent
@@LifeWithLei Yeah, when I go to Dallas my acceptance rate doesn't seem to matter at all so many orders going out that I always get a order. In my city with was less population than Dallas seems like everything matters.
Hi, still waiting on starting, been approved but lots of drivers in my area. Thanks for the information!
No problem thanks for watching
I personally only try to stay in the green because I enjoy the free monthly WalMart+ so I can get my groceries ordered and delivered. As always great video
We get free Walmart+ for staying in green? If so that would be great :) does it have to be for a certain period of time before we get it? Thanks for any reply 💕
Having a higher acceptance rate actually affects you in times like now (when things aren't busy because the holiday just ended) because they really don't need too many drivers. Now people have made New Year's Resolutions to lose weight and/or save $, so there is not as much work. After people give up on their resolutions, things will pick up again.
I really do think your acceptance rate matters in any platform your running on. My theory is just take them all and hard work will reward you in that eventually they will send you more better paying offers. At the end of the day they all add up and we're all here to do a job we signed up for.😄
Agreed but I just can’t take sams club orders when I’m only getting $10 to drive 17 miles. I see these all the time. It really hurts my ratings
Great video just to confirmed you cannot get any stores removed. I tried that, and was told after that it is not possible.
I've gotten stores removed that's not close to my home area 4 to be exact maybe try and call back and talk to someone else, but now it's not DDI maybe that's the difference.
@@sherika6041 thanks for letting me know, I will try again.
@@fred3306 Were you able to get them removed that you don't want?
@@wildwestunlimited nope Spark is a mess.
My acceptance rate as of today is only 29% lol but I just started driving for spark , always get the 2 batch orders and apartments.I try to only accept no lower than $17 batch orders up to 7-8 miles only , my town is small has 1 Walmart only so I can’t see myself being able to do this as full time gig at all smh !
Mine is around 46% but I get sent really good orders
I don’t think I’ve been over a 40 and my orders are good. Thanks for watching
how much you make on average doing part and how many hour you work a day we need a video like that lol and to me acceptance rate don't matter
I will definitely do a video thanks for the suggestion but about 3 days and I make about 400-500 on average. Thanks for watching
Love ur videos but did we really need to watch u getting gas🫣
I am not sure if I’m not seeing many orders for a few different reasons recently…
1: My acceptance rate went down
2: It’s the end of the month
3: The new update possibly has a glitch
Inquiring minds want to know😂😂😂
Yeah I wish we could pinpoint it…. It could be all of the above lol who knows. Hopefully you’ll get more orders soon. Thanks for watching
