I've known about this. It messes with Walmart's metrics (Since they will likely not have the order ready, they definitely won't have it out to you in the goal of 5 minutes), and Walmart may request you be deactivated from their stores if they catch you. So I won't be using it

I have tubs like that too. It helps keep the orders separated and easier to take to the house without dropping stuff. Onetime, I opened the back of the car and an oranged juice broke when it fell and hit the driveway. I also have cold bags for the cold stuff and carry to the house in them too. It looks good when you come with them, it shows you care. I get a love of increased tips that way.
I use a fold up wagon I got at walmart for 45$ it opens up big enough for large grocery orders. You can't pull it up stairs but you can at least get all the groceries to the stairwell at once. This wagon saved my life probably cause the 40 bottles of water will kill you lol. I have folding hand trucks I got at harbor freight for 32$ both wagon and hand truck fit behind passenger seat and I drive a 2020 Honda Accord sport. You really need these items for this job. Game changers for sure.
Houston where I’m at two orders pays $8.50 no tip. If they are extra large orders about 9.50-10. Right now you’re fighting for a dumb order. It pops up and quickly disappears. Too many drivers and not enough orders. Too many issues. The guy who introduced me to this last year made around $1k to 1300 a week. Two month ago he sent showed me his pay. He’s now making 700-900 a week and he work 7:30-8pm 6 days a week. Spark isn’t the same in all cities and it’s a lot of miles in the car.
Heard you can get banned for it , some people say they know people who got banned for it some say they been doing for months n year now and nothing happens so…. But only thing I know before you do it , make sure the order says “ready” not “gettting ready” then you might get in trouble , only do it when it’s ready .. I been doing it too myself lol!!! Today in my market was a great day made like 350$ working 12 hours !!! I had a 50$ orders 2 deliveries going 7 miles , I was like wtf how nobody else didn’t take it, it was a large order like 80 items but all small groceries with hella bags but it was a house so nothing major , it was my second order of the day , made me hype n kept me going thru out the day!!! Best order I’ve done on any gig app! Did it in like 45 mins

I personally can not beleive it. I work for a month now and I had a few long days, like 7am to 9 pm think, and I barely got $150. One day was just $120. I got really mad bc I heard ppl like you before on youtube saying rhey make 200+ per day. After trying myself for a month now, I actually started to suspect you are spark " moles" inflirtating here 😆 🤣....honestly. least you get $20 and $30 tip, there is NO WAY to average more than $10/ hour....maybe my floridian customers are poor tippers and yours are out of this world generous???? Bc it takes 1hour to 1hour and 20 min to accept, WAIT, and deliver each order- even the 1 item orders that are 2 miles away!!!!! Spark only pay for the delivery $7, or $11 for a 2 stop delivery. So Every single order you got that day was a 20 tip??????
Oh, and you manage to finish all your trips in an hour as well??dont you have gate numbers you deal with? Apartment building you need to locate in a big complex unit? No one second floor delivery with 3 trips to the xar? So, with other words, I call this BS 😉

I tried the airplane mode hack..FAIL!!
The hack itself worked. But TWO managers came right out to my car and they were PISSED. The order stated ready when I did it. Managers said it "messes with their wait times".

Hi LeiCan you choose to only do curbside pickup?
I don’t think you need to do the airplane mode. You can check in at the 40 min mark. For ex: if pickup is at 1:45 you can check in at the 1:40 mark. Great video, btw.

The reason some drivers do it is they want to finish a delivery and be back before the start of the next round robin.

You can't just do spark alone. You got to do something else with it on slow days.

So I'm confused on the airplane mode thing. Can someone explain a little more like when to turn on and when I turn it off.
My orders dont show everything that they are getting, then I get slammed with the big waters and cases of drinks. Im starting to think they are doing this on purpose.
Folding wagon and folding hand trucks I have both around 75$ for both and Worth their weight in gold . Look up folding wagons at walmart and hand trucks at harbor freight the are smakk enough to fit in sports car. Hope this helped
Walmart sells one online for 24 buxx and it folds up very small. I lost mine but it really is essential for this job
What about for the 4 flights of stairs you have to go up to deliver 3 plus cases of wal mart waters that literally weight 40 pounds? Anyone have to do those 3 times in one order? What do you do?
@@plontkegurl9529 to my knowledge, if the stairs are very steep the order is too big, you can leave it in the foyer. Just make sure you set it up very neatly and take a good picture.

No it’s pretty easy I just tell them how to divide the orders and that’s it.

I use my wagon for large orders and it helps a whole lot. Keeps you from going back and forth.

Yes pretty much pick up from Walmart drop off at the customer repeat. You have about 40 min to drop off until the next set of orders come out.

I'm a woman so I wouldn't do apartments. It's too sketchy for me. Especially if they don't have an elevator I wouldn't. My brother delivers for a diner and when he has to drop off food at an apartment the customers need to meet him in the lobby or outside of the building for safety reasons. The diner is located in a bad area.

You need an app called branch they will send you a link once you get signed up and ready to start. You download it and you get paid that way

We need a better way to track tips. How do we know that Spark is not keeping our tips? Case in point: this morning an offer came up for 2 deliveries at 9.00. I checked the addresses to see if the mileage looked correct. While I was doing that, the offer expired. But, minutes later, I got another offer for 2 deliveries for 19.00. Guess what; it was the same 2 addresses I had previously seen. So, was the first offer low because Spark was keeping the tip, or did Spark plea with the customer to add a tip? Whatever the case, it looks fishy.
Wal-Mart starts adding money to the order so someone will except it
@@R8d3rTone Uber does the same thing now with trip radar. They throw it out there "low ball" to multiple drivers, if no one bites, they add some cash to make it more appealing.
Amazon got busted for shorting

Here's some advice. Don't take advice from people that cheat the system.
Can we address the Walmart Spark Elephant in the room? Real quick. Women coming to the door while breastfeeding. Customers not coming to take in food that need to be refrigrated. No communication. Wanting food to be placed on the dirty ground in summer with insects everywhere. Customers saying they are going to tip in person but don't. Custmers not telling their jealous husband you ordered anything. Address is no where to be seen. Dogs ready to break down the door to attack Spark drivers. Hoarding. No steps, just a elevated door. Customers who live in a labyrinth with no contact information.
You’ve definitely seen some things that I haven’t lol but yeah a lot of these we all experienced and it sucks. I should do a video on all these lol

😆The 'labyrinth' got it for me. How about The foul smells and rat droppings inside the porches where they ask you to place the bags. the moldy porches and slimy steps that leads up to heaven...The ice packed steps in the winter. The many, many trip hazards. Walmart Spark Elephant is HUGE .
Some want you to come inside they house like seriously NO and also some customers get upset if something is out and give bad ratings
When I first started doing Spark my first delivery was in bum fuck egypt😂😂 got to the place which literally in the woods I felt like I was in The Hills Have Eyes. I was shocked because they wanted me to leave the items on the porch…. When I say it’s the worst case of hoarding I have ever seen 🤦🏾♀️ there wasn’t any room on the porch to put their stuff so I found the only clean spot for it… the back of their pickup truck 😂😂😂😂 of course I contacted them to let them know where I put the order… but never again 😂😂

I think the key is to build a rapport with the loaders and once they know you they do not care if you come in early and it’s ready. We all do it, our market has exploded with shop & delivers, I hope it lasts a while. I like those better!
Not true. I do it daily and i know a guy that has been driving for spark since 2020 and he never had an issue
Unfortunately, definitely true depending on your market. I’m in a spark group on FB and it’s taken a few months but people are being deactivated even DURING DELIVERIES left and right in the group for this “hack”.
I hear if you check in early with the airplane mode it can get you deactivated. I use to do it but I stopped.

I want to say I do the same and I use Spinx rewards and I bought 2 Dr peppers got and extra 15 cents off per gallon so 30 points and 15 cents extra a gallon I paid 2.94 per gallon I was really happy!
As high as the gas is It's a really good plan to have good luck be safe!

If it's cloudy, the satellite can cause it to be slow and how far you're from the towers as well

You don’t have to do airplane mode just check in at the 40 min mark
HELLO MS. YOUR INFO IS ON POINT BUT CAN YOU REPEAT THE AIR PLAN MODE INFO ABOUT CHECK'G IN EARLY?
If your order status says ready you can check in early by turning your phone on airplane mode then hitting confirm arrival then turn it off and click your parking spot and it will let you check it. But be careful I’ve heard some Walmarts are strict about that.

If your orders are ready then you are able to put it on airplane mode to get started as long as your pick up is ready. I call and ask that question. Also if you see bad order that's not paying much don't reject it let the time run out it will not effect your metrics. And lastly if your order is taken over 45 minutes you can cancel the order but when you're canceling you long wait times and it will not affect you this is all verified by calling customer service
Letting an order time out is the same as rejecting it. It's not necessary to hit the reject button, but it has the same effect. If you do this on your round Robin it will definitely hit your metrics negatively. Spark metrics aren't spontaneously undated as on other apps. The next morning you will see the impact on your metrics !!
As for the airplane mode thing, not sure it would get you deactivated but it can definitely get you blacklisted from the store. It happened to 2 drivers that pick up from the store I pick up from.
An employee told me that doing this causes complaints from customers about their orders being too early. So I only do it if it’s ready and only 5 min before pick up time.
Yup there others talking about Walmarts had there account taken for doing this and now some Walmarts won't bring the orders out early no more
Hey, so I knew about airplane mode and I do it. I have also "heard" we can get deactivated for doing it but to be honest I have never seen comments from someone it actually happened to nor have I met any other drivers that told me it happened to them so who knows if it's for reals. Just sayin 🤷
Folks on Reddit have posted about getting deactivated from doing airplane mode, so be careful. They said Spark will track it and then bam 💥 your deactivated for app manipulation.
@@steffiejoe no one has ever said they have been deactivated on any of those threads. I promise you it is fellow sparkers trying to scare you not to use it while they continue to do so and take advantage.
Please check out Slavic D Gihs and Business video titled, I Was Asked by Store Delivery Manager Not To Come Back recorded 4 months m onths ago. In it he caught Walmart employees not understanding how the Spark app opereates, and thought he was using a 3rd party app. He caught them allegedly lying and slandering and being typical Walmart employees.

Yes you are independent contractors through spark and you get a 1099 if you make over $600.
They hv too, and they have to send it to the IRS also

I’ll park in the driveway sometimes just depends sometimes it’s easier for me parking on the street
They had a $70.00 incentive if you made 15 deliveries. I made 14 and they shut me off.

so you can still turn on the app and put down the hours you want to stop, so you don’t really have to be at the store. I’m having a problem when I drove to the Walmart, I was at the wrong one, so does it Navigate to the Walmart. Where you have to pick up the items. And I see that you are using totes so I think I better invest in those just as well. Thanks for the info.

What if no one takes the low offers? Do they put them back in the system for more money?
The first time I try it I'll get banned my luck so I guess I'm stuck doing it this way
Airplane mode doesn't work anymore
This is my first day of spark I’ve currently been out here since 9am and it’s 1pm. Only order I’ve seen was from a Sam’s club 7 miles away from me. I’m in the Walmart parking lot. Am I doing something wrong?

I wouldn’t do the airplane mode oven. The store will report to spark.
Our city is small. It takes 9 miles to go from one end to the other.

I am still learning but I just started but that is amazing. because i guess at that you could definitely keep on car repairs and stuff. I make about $500 a week working part time and am able to do that on $60 of gas. Thanks for watching

This is my fifth day doing Spark inAtl metro area the zone I am in is huge and I take whatever order because there crazy incentives but I am quite sure it because I started new but so far so good but I give first week numbers about my experience do they have roadie where are because they do Walmart as well
You can get deactivated, market dependant. It all comes down to the employees and the customers. The employees are more likely to report you. The customers may complain about early drop offs, Especially if they're not home
Quit HATING 🙄This is only if the order is ready. Get a life🙄
makes no sense because sometimes they aren't even home even if you deliver it during the specified time - they also agree to take responsibility if the items are delivered and get spoiled because they are not there when they place the order

No it won't, you can use airplane mode when the status say "Ready". The app say suggested time for pick up, meaning it just a suggestion.
It is a myth. Been doing it forever as long as the order is ready your fine. It is not in the contract, there for not a contract violation. Notice people always say it but no one is ever saying that they where deactivated personally.
@@jeremybartalone3717 i actually had the manager of the people that bring the deliveries out. come to my car and said don't do it. don't start trip until 40 after because it hurts the peoples metrics. He was like you can get banned from this store for that. In other words,, this was my first and only warning
@@Guru-James yeah I’ve never had any worker complain at my store. They all like me and I usually make sure I’m waiting until there not super busy to pickup if I am grabbing it early. It’s nice when it’s so busy everything is ASAP orders that way you don’t have to mess with it at all.
