Can you tell me what you mean by “it’s driver suicide”? I’ve been doing this, driving 34-40 miles for about $45 and I thought that was good since I figure I’m still making about 20-22 dollars an hour. Please tell me how to do it where it makes the most sense.
@@nikkielevated2481to each their own. clearly not adding the wear and tear on your vehicle your insurance, your oil, etc. or you wouldn’t be making that much per hour work harder not smarter is what you’re doing
I will say it depends on where you live. Like I visited Dallas Texas and there was so many orders needing to be done that no matter what your acceptance rate was you got orders. Now where I live has a lot less of a population size so if you wanna get any type of a good order or a order at all you have to have good metrics. Acceptance rate is one I have kinda tested a bit I have let it drop down to a 70% and the money I was making was a good bit lower than what I make when I'm at like 86%.
We are having a major problem in South New Jersey. We are on the border, with Philadelphia, which requires you to cross the bridge, which is a toll going and coming all the orders from South New Jersey are going into Philadelphia. It’s terrible here.
That blows. I know your pain. I often get toll road trips that pay one way and you have to decide to pay out of pocket to return or add 1-2 hrs for non-toll roads.
Thanks for replying. Any advice on not getting a low rating when every Walmart I go to is making me late. I can’t deliver in time because the kids at Walmart are jacking off while working.
Having the same problem here in SJ it’s horrible. I was told by Walmart rep my acceptance rate was low because I don’t accept most orders. Most orders are going to Philly.😑
I've done over 100 deliveries and the only question I still have is every once in a while it'll tell me that my order time has been updated but it never tells me to what time.. i don't get this particular notification..i Do u ??
I can't say for sure It could be the store adjusting because they are behind in picks or it maybe them protecting there own metrics. That's all speculation though. Thanks for asking.... maybe someone else here knows for sure?😊
I use a spreadsheet and pad/paper. I was using those mileage trackers but could never keep up with labeling the trips lol. I’ve been doing gig work since 2018. The other thing about how DD and other gigs pay… They weren’t made for people to quit their jobs. The purpose is for you to make “extra” money... Not a living. Which is why you have to either multi app, or do it after your normal w2 job. A great example as to why you can’t survive on just one gig is… after that newbie phase… trash offers will always be thrown at you lol. I’ve noticed this on at least 7 gigs. I’m at a %20 on Spark too bro lol we are independent contractors. %6 on DD
Doorrdash for my area has been so bad that it hard trying make 10$ a day or even schedule it used to be better but now alot is 2$ orders going 10 -20 miles it's horrible I gave up on doorrdash everytime I turn it on it just ruins my acceptance rate cause with that pay I'd loose money because they are not tipping at the door here that is a 1 % chance
Wow.... maybe a W2 job would be a better fit 🤔. I know everyone is struggling with DD right now.... Some are still killing it..... but majority are looking elsewhere 🙄
Susan, I use the paid Gridwise app. I am not sponsored or promoting.... just what I use. There could be better, but it's what I started with and never researched it out. Thanks for asking and being here!😀
@@themidwestexpress thank you, I hear a lot of good reports about that particular app, so I will as well go with it :) I am new to spark x’3 weeks. Love listening to you, your very informative, keep up the awesome work.
Susan if you're only gonna use it for spark delivery, I would do the unpaid version. I'm multi app and use it for ride share as well and it has a lot of different features
Great question! 🤔 I think it matters on several factors. Market, how many stores you can deliver from and how many drivers are in your market. It's a lengthy topic.... I will knock out a video on this .... so I am not writing a novel in the comments. So, stand by ... thanks for the question.
It is very true. I work with Spark too, and if I didn't take a offer, I wouldn't get another one for the rest of the day. In this market, to stand out, you have to sometimes take a couple of orders that are frankly shit in order to prioritize you for the really good offers. Also to have offers constantly coming in. I average around 20 dollars an hr. Good offers and bad, point is....TAKE THEM ALL! Walmart will look at you in a better way. Spark is a premium app amongst all the gig apps out there. Take advantage of it.
Is your acceptance rate still around 20%? I was at 36 and now 22 because horrible orders coming through. Even batches for 41 miles paying $34!! It tanked this low in two days. Been rough!
It's going to say "you have a offer to accept". If it says first come first serve... that is a broadcast order. I will go more in depth on the Monday minutes video next week.
My girlfriend got an order at 7:45am for Spark. It was a $32 shop and pay.
was shop and deliver offline in your area recently? Im up here in Wisconsin and it's day two of it being offline at my area walmart.
Acceptance rate does not matter i just called bout it
Spark was great when i first started. Now it’s hit or miss. They really expect you to drive 40 miles for 40$ sometimes 🤣
Yeah, it's driver suicide..... Most drivers figure it out pretty quick. Thanks for sharing!

They are slick too, Deals will offer you 7 trips for 40.00 but it's 35 miles. My acceptance rate is horrible.
Yes.... and I think it will only get worse post holiday season

You mentioned the app Gridwise, for mileage etc, do you prefer the paid version verse the free?

how do you know which orders are specifically for you?
Not the first come first serve, Not the ASAP orders and ones that give you more than a minute to accept or decline.
So they say your metrics matter to get good offers with your acceptance rato being kinda low do you think it’s true?

I feel yah.... no the 50 order challenge picked up to 70 percent.
And are you getting better offers now with higher acceptance rate?
What does a personal offer look like? Because im dealing with a low acceptance rate.

There is a lady doing spark that makes 100 grand a year...look it up
Why? I know my market.... not looking for unicorns
How long did it take you to get approved for spark?
5 or 6 weeks I think? It was a long time ago. 😀
