      Justin I have noticed on the notification screen the spark in the blue is counting down and I was wondering what is that can you do a video on that it's on the notification screen when you pull it down it shows the spark app is active but it's counting down and then sometimes it have (now) I know what now means, it means that I have an order in progress. But other times when I'm waiting on an order to come through I look and I see that on the notification screen in blue it's just counting down, but I'm not getting offers, can you please help me with this?

      If it has a timer that means it came only too YOU!! You have to take it or your metrics will be affected. It’s called a ROUND ROBIN. I hate those

    great explanation on the different types of offers. I was under the impression all order types have an effect on the AR. When the screen fills up with so many offers and gets hard to distinguish I still only take the best paying offer.

      Great point. Walmart makes it seem like all orders affect AR. Hopefully, Spark will change it so the screen doesn't fill up with so many offers. That makes it so difficult to find the order that increases AR.

      Round robin orders start on the 20th through the 45th of the hour ....example...7:20-7:45

    I see new offers submeitted to me and they only appear on my iphon screen for 5 SECONDS then dissapear, these are orders which are sent directly to me, so how is it that it only appears for about 5 seconds not giving me the time to look at the order or to even accept the order, in my region a few of us drivers are being affected by this, the drivers that I have spoken to all have acceptance rates and other metrics which are in the green above 95% so somehting else is going on here.
    We have been told that somone has some type of electronic blocking device in their vehicle who sits in the lots along with us reviewing the orders as they are sent out, unfair to us as drivers where we are waiting around for an hour to obtain an order and these bogus drivers who are into IT know how to get around the system to place themselves first before us, this has been happening for the past 3 months and support has been notified of this situation but there is nothing that they can do.
    These drivers return every 30 minutes receiving a new shop & deliver order and/or a curbside pickup order, ok they know how to work the system but it is taking from us, not from Spark but from the other drivers, its insulting to say the least but difficult to prove, the store manager does not care becasue it shows that the orders are getting out of the store so we are left here sitting with our thumbs up our asses like fools with Spark Delivery.

    Tip: Don't flat out disregard X-Large orders. Sometimes their system flags REALLY small things as REALLY big things. Case in point, spools of beading wire, I had 2-3 of those spools and it flagged it as extra LARGE. We are talking about something that is less than 8 ounces and fits in a single bag... Read over the list of items carefully. Another one that scares people away, "50" TV >>MOUNT

    I will reject shop and deliver ones as well as anything wirh baby products. Also, if in single digits, dollar value has to be three digits higher than the mileage. For 10+ miles, about 7-8. A 10 mile order takes 20 to 30 minutes. Getting paid $15 for that...

    Hello thank you for all your information that you provide. I do have a question on Customer Service rates. Is there a way that you can see what you may have done wrong or what a customer didn't like that you done.Im very confused on Customer rating.

      You unfortunately can't see what you did wrong at this time. There isn't a way for the customer to provide feedback to the driver.

    VERY IMPORTANT: READ THIS
    The Company don't want driver's to make money. I realized that I wasn't making real money when i accept all offers given to me. What I did? I let all batch orders go to time out and I accented only the one's that would pay me more and with less miles I have to travel. That week I made some money and the week after that my acceptance rate went down hill to 46%. And now I'm not getting any offers and if I do it's all batch orders that would pay me $54.90 for 18 orders while when I picked and choose, I made $130.00 for just 9 separate orders.
    This is insane to the max.

    I just started. So I got to 9 orders and next day I see I have 13 % acceptance. I look at money and how big order is. Had no idea why it was going down. Then I got a order was to big for the car. Frustrated cus I had to drop like 4 because the wouldn't fit. Then seen where the information was. I thought if I told the app I had a small car I wouldn't get xlarge orders. Is there a way to keep from getting the large orders?

      Hi Jennifer, There should be an option to update your vehicle type in the "more" part of the app. Once you set your car as that type you shouldn't be getting large orders that can't fit in a smaller car. Did you already set this up?

    Hi new subbie here. Great video. Do you have any suggestions on how long I should wait for my order to come and does my order coming late affect my ontime rating?

      Hi Phillis! 👋🏻 Thanks for subscribing! It doesn't matter how long that you wait for your order. Once you get your order, the customer is notified and the delivery timer is changed to reflect the time that you got the order.
      If you get to the store and your order is supposed to be picked up by 1:45 and you wait until 2:16 and still have not received the order- you can drop the order and put that it's "because of a long wait time". Then, watch your order screen closely because that order will show up again in a few seconds with the max bonus of +$12 and you can accept that order again. Since you are already there, just check in as normal to your parking location.
      You won't be penalized for this dropping of the order. Just make sure to watch and get your order back! It will be shown to any/all drivers in your zone!

      I'm not sure. I haven't seen any or seen reports of it. But I would imagine that bots could be created. Not sure why you would want to do that. It would kill your acceptance rate in a few days.

      nope. Only Round-robin orders. Acceptance rate does not include First Come First Serve or Surge pricing offers.

    Hey Justin .. great info in your vids.. is it better to reject or let them time out in regards to your acceptance rate .. I've heard both from different Spark Drivers.. my acceptance rate is way down.. the other thing is when the screen just goes crazy like yesterday on Christmas Eve was so busy I couldn't even accept an order before the screen refreshed and I had to search for it again .. like every 4 or 5 seconds..     anyone who's worried about their acceptance rate is a fool. We're technically independent contractors, we're under no obligation to accept any job offered to us. The AR is there to bamboozle W2 people who are used to just doing whatever their boss says. I would say any program that offers bonuses for higher AR are illegal under most state and federal labor laws.... but I'm not a lawyer.

      Unfortunately, these apps make us have to worry about AR. I agree it’s foolish. But it changes your income.
      I wouldn’t say AR is illegal under any laws because it can be construed as a way to benefit those who work harder. Aka a “team player” in a regular job. Look at how doordash is giving better orders to the drivers that have over 60% AR.

    The one thing you said about letting offers time out is 100% accurate for sure. As per a Spark customer service rep it is better to let it time out because Spark tracks how many times you push the decline button as well. A hidden metric, if you will.

      I've only rejected 1 offer in the last 3 weeks of starting this. I let all the other ones I don't want to take time out. I've completed 22 trips & let 55 go according to customer service. And my acceptance rate is 12%. They told me if I wanted more orders I needed to accept more orders. Okay, but how do I do that if I'm not even receiving any now?

And if I do get offers, it the terrible one's "batch" with 9 orders for $23.00. So reading your comment make me feel that I'm not alone in this slavery. If you accept all offers that they give you, you won't make money that you want. But when you pick and choose the offers that benefit you, they hit you up with rhe acceptance rate that leads to you not getting offers at all. THAT IS SLAVERY.

    Thanks Justin great video very informative on the different order types. The only thing that is different from your video that I experience is I do receive multiple one new offer, offers on my screen at one time. I have had it happen dozens of times and I have had up to three one new offers on my screen at one time. They don't come all at once usually sometimes I'll purposely wait if I see one I don't like to see if another shows up hoping that by accepting another one while that one is still on my screen it won't ding me I' for not accepting the first one that came through. it does happen time to time and I don't know if that's based on high demand for that store or lack of available drivers in my area at that time. And yes I agree with everybody else when they send 13 to 18 orders through at one time and they're constantly refreshing after they time out so aggravating trying to scroll through and look for any new ones or to even examine an offer very frustrating LOL. I've contacted and made suggestions about having a little bird icon for the Red Robin orders or some kind of text saying Red Robin order, I do keep my notifications up that's how I determine right away if it's around Robin offer.

    Unlike most "Gig work RUclipsrs" meaningless rant videos, you sir have put together an overly complicated metrics system into a simple & yet very useful analytical video.
    Question-> Could you make a video of how to troubleshoot the Spark app for the drawbacks?
    1. Mainly (S&D), the app refuses to execute the navigation from "IVE LEFT THE STORE" to "START DELIVERY"
    2. Spark brings you to the store & suddenly the order (S&D) disappears as if you've finished it and prompt you to "SCAN QR CODE" when you have even scanned a single S&D.
    3. The infamous slap in your face with a "Show up fee" right after they cancel your pickup because they've assigned multiple drivers (which sounds illegal).
    Sometimes some Spark help agents try to convince or confuse you as if you (the driver) will get a special "Compensation fee" but when you confront them to explain & state about it, it's just a $2 & change payment for their failure to fulfill an offer you accepted (probably drove 5 miles to the store) and dodge their way out of it many times.

      @@Kam1kaz3dreamer Not a chance. Driver support is through Walmart not Spark and they can't make changes to your account. We never get to actually talk to someone from Spark. Metrics are always wrong. App is always down or doing something stupid. They randomly choose who gets orders, I have had perfect metrics and received no orders, while people with 30% drop rate get all the orders. Plus driver support will leave you on hold and then hang up on you because they don't know how to fix your problem. There is no way any company is worse than that, and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

    It's such bull shit. Why can't they just put like a star or something on these orders so we actually know which ones we need to take. Its been so busy in my area the past 2 weeks, I always have 30-40 open offers. And one day it was up to 350 open offers. It wouldn even open the list, it kept crashing. You can't even scroll through the list because it keeps refreshing over and over and over again.

    Ok, I still have no idea what a round Robbin order looks like. I’ve been doing this for a month and my acceptance rate is 32%. You said pull down your screen. I do that and nothing happens. I don’t see anything. I have no idea why the hell the apps can’t come with some kind of tutorial that shows screen shots of what you need?

    Can you do a video explaining what it means when you have heavier items say from sam's club and under the order usually where it says the size of the order. I have had a few all from sam's club where some items were 40-50 lbs it will say extra earnings next to it. How is it extra earnings . It's there more pay? I'm always confused by that

    Is a 2% drop rate good or bad? I've recently seen a SIGNIFICANT decline in orders. Literally went from too many to choose from to maybe 2 a night or 3 on a good night. I am in the green on all my metrics except for the one and only review I got from a customer that blamed me that the store was wiped out in a small market store from food stamp day and they blamed me because they didn't get all their stuff. 🙄

      @@JustinMaxwellbiz I tried that. I deleted the cashe data then uninstalled and reinstalled. That seemed to help a little but not much. Then last night and the night before was insane. There were hundreds of orders blinking so rapidly that you couldn't hardly have even but a split second to try to get one and then later to discover I had 2 and three orders at a time. The app was so overloaded that it kept crashing. The Walmarts were so backed up and overwhelmed and cars lined around the building. Orders were trippled in pay what they usually would have been. It was the best, worst, amazing, and stressful thing I've yet to experience working for Spark. I wish it was like that every night. I made almost 300$ last night. It made up for the last couple weeks being pure draining and very discouraging. It was just because of Christmas being so close so I know it's going back to normal soon lol. But that was spectacular.

      Same here. I was literally making $300 a night in my area. Almost 1500 a week to literally nothing. It’s insane. I don’t get any orders anymore. Maybe 2-3 a day. It’s crazy! Had so many orders. Then the app crashed around Christmas. Now I barely get any orders at all

    Hello, so frustrated from a little bity town in Texas. We have 1 Walmart. I go sit in parking lot at Walmart for hours without an offer. When I do get an offer, when I click on it, it says offer no longer available. This happens a lot. Any advice? The ones I was unable to receive, although I clicked on them, made my acceptance rate go from 93 to 84. Any suggestion would be great. I have talked to support twice. Uninstalled app, logged out, restarted phone?

    For what ever reason all offers I don't accept impact my rating. Not hitting decline also lowers my rating . I'll accept every round robin I'm offered but decline or let asap or fcfs orders time out and my rate will go down.
    In fact on a Friday I was at 96% by Monday I was in the 30% not rejecting a single round robin offer. I spoke to a rep he claimed that allowing orders to time out can cause a glitch that is -4% each time a order times out aginst your rate. Pretty crazy. At the moment my acceptance is 86% it hasn't changed in a long time. I accept every round robin never reject or all time out and no changes . My offers are almost all low paying vs drivers with low acceptance and I'm skipped many times per day without see anything except other drivers getting orders consistently.. kinda weird

      So I've been researching this strike for a little over an hour. All the information surrounding the strike is coming from one source - Rideshare Professor. I'm not sure that it is a real strike and it is something that he is trying to create without much backing or driver support.

      Crazy how everyone's times are different for round robin. Mine is at :13 and if I don't get one at that time it comes at :21

      You should look into getting rid of some stores that you never use if you are getting too many offers to check one specific offer. I've also gone back to the main screen then gone back into orders to kind-of skip past the orders coming in and flashing non-stop.

    I am fairly new to Walmart spark and I'm still learning. Sometimes when I get "One new offer" It's for a Walmart that's way far away!!!!! So if I accept it and have to drive to that Walmart, it's still going to negatively affect some part of my ratings!!!! Not to mention I don't get paid to drive to that Walmart and it is extra wear and tear on my car!!!! So why do they send me an order for a Walmart that's way far away from me!! To me, this makes no sense for Walmart, the customer, or the driver! Like what the f***! The way they do things is really messed up in my opinion. It's like so complicated! I have other apps I drive for that I have all very good ratings for and it does not take a rocket scientist to get to good ratings for other apps. Walmart seems to make things really complicated! Am I the only one? Help lol

      You are not the only one. They make it way too hard. I like the Instacart app the best honestly. Anyways, is Spark headed towards a class action? How can they keep metrics that don’t actually make sense? You will hear it from experienced drivers that some have bad metrics and still get good offers. Others have good metrics and are having issues getting orders.

      You have to accept the round-robin orders. Acceptance rate is not changed by First Come First Serve or Surge pricing offers.

      Nope. Only Round-robin orders that state "you have 1 new offer. You have until 00:00 time to accept" will affect your rating.

      @@JustinMaxwellbiz how many round robins will you see at once? I see where it say you have 1 offer to accept but it will say that like 3x and it gives me like 2 min to accept

    What about it showing ASAP? Are these supposed to affect your AR?
    Deals for days were all ASAP and my AR dove 26% declining them

      Those ASAP orders shouldn't be affecting your AR. They are FCFS type orders. I wonder if spark messed up the order algorithm.

      That means that I should only get it if I am on the store in order to not affect my arrival time ?
      Or I can get it from my home and go to the store with no rush ?
