Hey Chris, thanks for another classy review. I've been using the WP10 here in London for the last few days (ordered from Gearbest for only 90GBP delivered - and no import taxes!!!) and I agree with most of your comments. That said, I really like it; it's a lot of phone for little cash when compared to the Mi Mix costing an enormous 800GBP. No, the WP10 will not be replacing my beloved Mi Max, but I still like it a lot and find it a pleasure to use for media and the web; it's darn fast and the build quality is fantastic for the price. Watching movies on it is a joy and I don't notice the pixels. The manager of my local Vodafone shop saw me with it today and was very impressed. In fact, he took it off me and was playing with it for a few minutes. I'm no gamer, so Angry Birds is as serious as it gets for me, and games such as that work perfectly. I totally agree about the cameras, but they get the job done. The sound is really great on mine, whether using headphones via the 3.5 jack or Bluetooth. Again, I will be keeping my Mi Max, but I will also be keeping the WP10 too - for now...until you tempt me with something else, as is inevitable. Wishing you and yours a great Christmas and a happy gadget filled 2017. V
Oh so you got one! Yes, the build really surprised me for the cost of this unit, I expected plastic and low quality. But it's really decent as you know. I think for light tasks, web, videos, music its good. Just not for gamers or people after decent cameras (At least it has one) My 3.5mm jack on mine has a little static I can hear between sounds like the tap noise on the keyboard. So I take it you have a bag for it? Very large mobile. Just find my Mi Max is much more enjoyable. I sold the Mi Mix to a friend, just couldn't warrant keeping it for that price. I paid over $1000 USD for it to get it so early. Merry Christmas to you to and happy 2017.
Many thanks Chris. Yes, I'm usually out and about carrying a man bag or rucksack, so the WP10 goes in there or my jacket pocket. It does fit into my jeans too, but not comfortably so, especially if sitting down. The Max remains the boss phone, so thanks for bringing both to my attention. I would love to have seen your comparison between the Mix and the Max, but hey...Max makes better sense. Please do let me know if you find out how to get the Windows Anniversary update onto WP10. Keep well, and thanks again. V
May I ask you few questions? How's battery wise? does it less a day? Does it heat up after using apps for a long time? About speaker voice or video calls? Does it sound clear when on speaker voice?
I believe the specs are ok for the price and for Windows 10 ecosystem. Dont forget that Microsoft uses Snapdragon 210 and 410 for Lumia 640 and 650, with 1GB Ram.
The Cube WP10, a budget Windows 10 Mobile with a 6.98-inch 720p IPS screen, dual SIM, Snapdragon 210, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM with MicroSD support.I got it from Banggood here: goo.gl/p1FdDj
Are you going to do a review of the Cube Mix Plus? and Vivo Xplay6? It looks like it will have a better camera than the S7 with the IMX362. regars from Alicante
plus lets be honest, its not like the S7 has the best camera in the industry. Its just OK. We have learned a long time ago, that the camera optimization matters more than the sensors at this point. That is the difference between the Pixel and the Mi5. Same camera and sensor...but google spent a ridiculous amout of effort in optimizing the software and it shows in the cameras performance
Camera optimization is a huge part of it of course. Look at the Mi5S and Pixel difference as you know. Massive because Xiaomi is bad at camera optimization.
TechTablets.com luckily the strength of Android in general kinda covers those weaknesses. Don't like the skin, download a new one. There are a few REALLY good camera apps in the store as well. I think you should do a video series where you explore some of those camera apps and how they improve camera quality over native apps. I'd be interested in checking that out

reminds me of the mi max but not as good quality if they made this smaller, 1080p, and at least 6xx processor instead of 4xx, this would be an instabuy, regardless of the price.
Yet another great review. BTW @TechTabletscom Hi, I'll be paying a visit to my mam who lives in the Denia. I just broke my Redmi Note 4 screen and bought a replacement one but I don't know any shop in the area (Denia) who could do it for me during my hooligans in Saint. Do you by any chance know one? Thanks in advance. Pablo
I think Cube dropped the ball on optimization. SD425 should have been overkill. 2GB should have been plenty for WP10. 720p if it were a decent full laminated screen would have been fine. I wanted something WP after having my Microsoft 640 stolen. I actually found Cortana useful when I didn't think I would.. I'd easily pay $200 for something like this if it ran as slick as my 640 did.
I disagree with your comment Lukasz Bocacz. English isn't my native language too (I'm french), and I don't have any trouble to understand what Chris tell us in his reviews. Maybe there are mistakes in his videos, but in my opinion, it is perfectly understandable :)
Thanks, there are mistakes sometimes. Normally I leave them. I record the videos without later subbing over them so if it's minor I let it slide. I did make the error of calling the processor the 425 :( It's a snapdragon 210.
Awesome new intro! Keep up the good work, watch all ur vids and i lov em'! :D

TechTablets.com It's actually the Snapdragon 210 in this tablet. The 425 should also perform much better
What about RUclips performance using a Windows Mobile app, like MetroTube?
Could you try Asphalt at low graphics maybe? That might fix the lag a tad bit?
Also, since you're still using the Mi Max as your daily driver, you could maybe do a revisited review, what is it like using such a large phone etc?
Helps a little. But I wanted to show the default setting it selected for the hardware and how it would run.
loving the new intro
Does it come with the "Double tab to wake screen" thing? Thank you

Mix Plus yes, Vivo Xplay is too expensive for me to review. I doubt I will cover the cost of the X9 I brought to review.

I like your reviews but your english is getting less and less understandable...
Okay, I'll try to speak in English next review.
