    I used the upside down back combing trick last night. I had a work dinner, and needed a quick "fluff up." It worked great! What a great tip!

    Love your short and practical tips!! I have very short and fine ( translation- thin!!) hair. Can't wait to try this!

      Great, let me know how it works for you. You can also add hairstray the the back brushed area which will give you more fullness.

    I thought backcombing and I had nowhere to go (been there - done that) but your 'upside down' tip is so simple and effective - I loved the result. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a great week-end.

      TY - Try using a little hair spray along with the backcombing for extra oomph.

      Great - and of course I neglected to say that using hair spray after you've back combed in the same position is also another help.

    You have extensions? Can you share the name and color? I'd love to go longer than I naturally can but as a silver sister I am not sure where to even get the hair!

      I got them at my local hair supply place, but they don't carry them anymore. I'm currently talking to Uniwigs about extensions and a couple of manufacturers in China. Gray hair extensions are NOT easy to come by, nor are the wefts. However, once I do secure a company I will shout it from the rooftops.

    Hi Sharon, does this technique of back brushing brake the hair?, because my hair is very thin and I fear it affects my hair. Thanks for your reply😘

      @twominutetips  6 лет назад +1

      Good question - taking extra care is important, but if you use a brush as demonstrated here you shouldn't have any problems. AND when you brush it out start at the bottom of the hair shaft and work your way up removing the back brushing. Hope that helps.

    Hi Sharon--is backcombing hard on your hair? How do you remove it at the end of the day without breaking the hair? Thanks so much--your hair is lovely.

      +Julie Mann No backcombing does NOT ruin your hair. The trick is to brush it out from the bottom and move up to the root. Most backcombing will fall out over the day unless you've backcombed with more vigor and hairsprayed the sections for more hold. In the case of really strong hold, use a coconut oil or shampoo your hair and gently remove from end to root. Make sense?
