My dad sang this! His name was Rick Schulman; he was a singer/songwriter in Nashville who also did a bunch of commercial voiceover work. Loved this song when I was a kid. It's from a tribute album made to honor Art Clokey and the success of the Gumby show. Has tons of other weird, wild and cool Gumby themed songs on it by a bunch of cool artists.

@@fvvfvbbbb He never got to see it; sadly he passed away about ten years ago. But I definitely think he would've dug it 😎👍he was an awesome guy and the best dad ever. Wrote a lot of cool shit, got the opportunity to play with or open for a bunch of really cool people. Sorry I missed your reply, appreciate it. Here's a link to him playing a set at the Exit/In way back in it's heyday. Backed up by Jerry McEwen, one of his oldest jamming buddies/the guy responsible for getting Amy to turn the Bluebird Cafe into a music club long time ago. I first came across this song on a PRN interview in 1989 or maybe 90. I was taking a law class and the professor had told people he wanted no one late - but when I parked my car the song had varely started! So I figured he could yell at me and finished listening to the song. When I got out I saw the professor a couple of cars over = he had listened to the song as well! So we were both late for class.... This song and album always makes me smile. I have one and have even given them as gifts.
