She is OP, but her lack of signs and the fact that she typically faces many enemies at once during the periods you play as her, and her lack of a conventional dodge make playing as her pretty annoying. Her powers within lore are incredibly cool tho.

But then they fixed the framerate, the animations felt 100x better especially while riding Płotka (aka Roach i think), and somehow on my 6th attempt it just... clicked, and i played the game almost non stop until i finished it, literally thinking about what im going to do as Geralt while working (thats normal when youre 12, not as a 30yo man lmao). This is not me saying to force yourself to play it if you didnt enjoy it just because its a classic and a GOAT contender BTW, its just that im a huge nerd, love RPGs, love medieval type scenarios, love fantasy, love my slavic culture and love Sapkowski's books hence why i kept trying... so if youre not an RPG fantasy guy and it soesnt click, leave it. I hate how regicide means both killing a monarch and also someone who killed a monarch at the same time. I should start a petition to change the english language.
You asked why Triss is a Mage in the game, but like a Druid in the show. The Simple answer is: Because the show is a Trashfire. In the Lore Druids and Mages really hate eachother. They pretty much tap into the same forces, but Druids do so with a deep connection to Nature and they hate Mages for being all scientific and Forceful with their powers. Addition: The Alternate Triss outfit is also not Lore Friendly, because it shows her chest. In the books Triss was the only survivor of the Battle of Sodden, where 13 other Mages died and she only barely survived, being disfigured severely. Her whole appearance pretty much is just Glamarye and other powerful concealing speels, but the damage to her Torso was so great that even the concelament spells couldn't fully conceal the damage. In the Books she said, she can never wear something with a low cleavage again. Additional Addition: Of course go with Yennefer. She spent almost 30 Years keeping Geralt out of Mage conspiracies, by treating him badly in Front of peole, but when they are alone, she is different to him. Triss is a two-faced Snake that took advantage of Geralts, her best Friends Partners, Amnesia to have an affair with him, and she had spent a lot of time even before that trying to get into his pants, but he had been faithful to Yen before. 1:06:03 You said she didn't seem impressed by your Igni sign. there is a scene in the Books where Geralt does Igni when Triss is around and she says she could use the same spell and shoot the Logs he ignited through the chimney, she's that more powerful.
Yikes, someone is REALLY good at ignoring Yennefer’s flaws lol. She’s verbally abusive of Geralt all the time, constantly manipulates him, cheated on him several times, treats his Witcher friends like actual trash, including Vesemir, and acts entitled to pretty much anything in Geralt’s life, from his help whenever she wants it, to his bed in his home that she throws off a tower. During my play through I picked Yen bc that’s what Geralt would do, but Triss is a way better option as a partner in general imo.
@@alexjames4770 But have you read the Books? The games of Witcher 1-3 cover about a Year of Story. In the books it's more like 25 where she does everything for Geralt, it may not be obvious, but her demeaning behaviour is a facade she puts on in front of everyone and Geralt knows that. Yennefer is entangled in a lot of high stakes political affairs with lots of backstabbings. She tries to keep Geralt safe by letting him appear as a mere sidepiece.
@@alexjames4770 But there are several instances where she helps him out from afar, because she cares about him. Like when she Gets him back his swords, or makes a Deal with Vivaldi, to cover all his financial needs anywhere in the World, without him knowing.

The only wise path is to end it, and the genie quest make it happen maturely with proper intensity.
Yes Triss has her own toxic history, but like I said she has the decency of being apologetic about it and feel remorseful, while Yen will gaslight you into submision.
zanny: sees nilfgard armor and says he wants*
also zanny: equips nilfgard armor* "too bulky for geralt"
BTW that guy that challenge you ( 28:40 ) he's got a good reason if I remember rightly his Child died and he promised to be the strongest and that's how it is xd
Thank you past zanny for giving us one 1 hour long specail(man i love past zanny)
Edit i am mad that he no one told him about the nilfgard armour set and hourse saddle that you buy from the baron castle merchents, its nilfgard drip
Another edit NEVER MIND HE GOT THE DRIP
How i have been waiting for this succulent release of content. I am shaking in my boots of anticipation.
I’m a strumpet for Zanny’s vids

Zanny: “get ready for a lore accurate Witcher 3 play through”
Also Zanny: *creates a fucking Witcher ‘What if’ Timeline
Was having a bad day and thought “Man, I could really do with watching a Zanny video” and LO AND BEHOLD, YOU POSTED A NEW VID 🥰
Zanny is the only RUclipsr I know who is genuinely louder on stream then in his main channel videos
He's going through the average witcher gamer stages to a tee. Next time we'll see him, he will be sitting with 6 decks of real gwent cards, have all the books and a big cork board filled with lore and notes
Thanks!
"My deck is stronger,
firmer, longer."
- Zanny 2024
I am so happy to witness someone playing this game for the first time and I am beyond hyped that person is Zanny. We need Part 3 m'lord
*Chooses Triss*
Indiana Jones templar: You have chosen.... poorly.
Broh, use Ciri's teleporting shenanigans from a neutral stance. She will bounce from foe to foe hitting each one within the circle. Its EXTREMELY powerful abd makes you very hard to hit. Ciri is OP.
She is OP, but her lack of signs and the fact that she typically faces many enemies at once during the periods you play as her, and her lack of a conventional dodge make playing as her pretty annoying. Her powers within lore are incredibly cool tho.
I'm glad Zanny introduced me to this game. I finally bought and finished this game. I loved it and and now starting on the dlc. ❤❤
You're in for a treat! The DLCs are probably some of the best DLCs any game ever had.
go for it, both dlcs are insanely good
Damn that was fast
same dude, i brought this because of zanny. Same for dark souls too, now ds become my favourite game all of time. I wonder if it's the same case for witcher 3 too.
Have fun the dlcs are pretty good. I loveee blood and wine.
35:27 what a beautiful "damn" phrase
Honestly despite being Polish and growing up on Witcher books (and that one terrible TV series thet was later squeezed into a movie for some reason) i was literally unable to get into W3 until the new gen update came out, and i tried like 5 times, always dropping it after like 2 or 3h of gameplay.
But if you are... try again lmao
the pull of gwent is undeniable
Choosing Triss over Yen = 200 lashes.
A bit soft imo
Nah yall trippin
Truss is better
@@uptown_rider8078raped and manipulated Geralt multiple times whereas Yen has sacrificed herself for Geralt time and again.
Remember Zanny, Triss took advantage of Geralt when he lost his memories. Do not believe her lies!
She didnt really
@@DrazenPerkovic-p8jshe completely did and even admits doing so
we have been blessed!
35:45 when he said what a lovely lovely voice 💀
Lol
I’m watching the beginning of the video but I really hope Zanny realizes that he can get a skill that allows food to heal him for like 30 minutes.
What skill is that???
@@hunterstarkey5089 it’s a general skill. It’s in the brown area
I love the long vids pls do more, also thank you to faded for dropping the volume when zanny screams lmao
Now that he's a Triss-peasant, my respect for Zandrew is non-existent
Yen sucks, example of a toxic relationship with her and geralt.
@@varshasoneji3134 let's compare endings.
Yen: Appreciates Geralt's desire to retire. Instantly agrees to retire together with him and just vibe on Corvo Bianco forever.
Triss: "Nice crib you have here. Anyway, after we're done with your dick flattening, I'm going back to work for some random king number 322441, and you're coming with me where you'll get to participate in as much politics as I need. You do so love politics, don't you Geralt?"
Triss is a putrid piece of liquid shit. I wish CDPR had the balls to give us an option to actually sell her out to inquisition
From the rice fields zanny descends to bless us with an hour+ of witcher 3
FINALLY ZANNY HAS RETURNED
I hate how regicide means both killing a monarch and also someone who killed a monarch at the same time. I should start a petition to change the english language.
NO WAYYY YOU JUST DROPPED THIS
JUST SAW THE FIRST PART AND THOUGHT IMMA HAVE TO WAIT A FEW MONTHSS
He doesn’t know it but he wants the school of the cat armor if he’s going for the sleek and slim drip.
With the dlc glasses too
3:46 SOMEONE WHO GETS IT!!!!!
Long videos from zanny are the only thing keeping me sane lately
Also: if you have Armor Sets and Swords you really like, store them in the Stash, in the blood&Wine DLC you get a place to display them
Yikes, someone is REALLY good at ignoring Yennefer’s flaws lol.
@@alexjames4770 And of course Yennefer has Flaws, she wouldn't be in the Witcher universe if she didn't. But she is not so manipulative and Backstabbing as Triss.
Roach can jump by double tapping dismount
This game is about Gwent decks and bending Keira Ments
The "hands off or I'll cut em off" moment had me in tears lmao. Just instant regret lol.
Triss or Yennifer?
My advice, romance both. You can do that for a “special” scene ;)
DO It! DO IT! DO IT!
Let the intrusive thoughts win
Single Geralt is the best Geralt
Same zanny, whenever I do anything irl the sound effects and sountrack play in my head.
Surely zanny picks yennefer and not the first available redhead guys right? Right??
[ Zanny choose tris ]
Me : This Is Where The Fun Begins!
Reload and let Triss go. Future Zanny will thank you.
44:28 Bro is so down bad, when I first played this, I wouldn't blame him
Anyways, Shani is the best

Triss feels warmer and friendlier than Yenn to me and you can Clearly tell she has feelings for him as well she apologizes for the kiss, doesn't want you to step up to defend her and even tries to move on herself and urges you to do the same
these are all signs of a kind and morally good person who thinks its best for YOU not to be with them or move on
then when you even tell her she tries to walk away yet cant
she has feelings and loves him back
Personally Im with Triss
but lore wise I understand Yenn
i just play the game twice
one for the lore ending and one for my ending
Yeah I think most people prefer Triss because she's overall a better person. Geralt just prefer Yen because she is who she is
TRISS GANG

As a Polish person this game is the best thing we ever made
Brooo seeing Zanny enjoy the game made me really nostalgic. I used to play this game 10 hours a day...Good ol' days
LETS GOO! The Zan Man picked Triss W’s for everyone with taste
I did the exact same shit as zanny in Now Or Never quest, went with "Let's try again", saw that she leaves and then rolled back to choose "I love you" 😭
Zanny: "THIS IS A CANNON PLAYTHROUGH"
Also Zanny: Takes sides in the war, wants to kill the godling, murders elfs
This is nostalgic. Haven’t played this since it came out
Choosing Triss is the way, proud of zanny
Love these long videos on your Witcher playthrough, current doing a W2 and 3 playthrough myself
Triss do be that fiery red head who sweeps you up in a tornado of fire
