Seriously this is like a Tudor French hood!! Sorry, I know I am gushing, but when stationed in TX, we attended the Renaissance Faire every summer for 2 months. LOVE the look this is gonna give my noggin, lol!!!!
I was thinking something similar as well.
YES!!! I love it! I bought a bobo similar from Israel but it was flatter, oh my definitely this is the shaper I’ve been waiting for! Especially since my hair doesn’t naturally have a lot of volume. This looks wonderful ❤️❤️❤️
You must have bought a small size
I saw my email announcement and RAN over to see if you had a video!!!
I live the framing shape!!! Reminds me of Rivkah Malkah’s style that I tried to mimic( and failed!) Lol!! Thank you so much! I’m still a beginner and this looks lightweight. I love my Wendy shaper but it does get quite warm for me in the warm weather... I like that I can control the volume and it slips on easily 😉 thanks Andrea!! P. S. ((Shatner !!!!!!🎉)
Me too!!
I thought of Rivka, too. 😁
Oh I NEED this. As someone who loves that side volume look- I must have it!
The finished wrap reminds me of a simpler Nigerian Gele wrap. The Gele can be very regal and quite complicated when used for formal events - often requiring professional wrapper. Additional pleating/twisting across the Bobo crown might be interesting. Simple Gele image: images.app.goo.gl/judB3Hkj98Ep3HsT7
Can't wait to try! I think, it's exactly what I need!
So exciting!!!
Awesome finally! I had to order my first one from Israel glad I can get another one.😍
muchísimas gracias!!!
Yay!!! Ordering one ASAP!!!!
This is the shaper I have been waiting dor since I started wrapping!!!! 💗💗🤗🤗💗💗
Me too refused to pay shipping from Yisrael. I've been patiently waiting for it to arrive here. voila.
Oh I love it! I need one!
Omg I ordered this and tonight I was going to buy another on for my cousin. Your sold out 🙁☹️ when will you get more in stock?? I’m so excited to be getting mine in a few days I can hardly wait.
Thank you
Gorgeous
Perfect for turbans!
Beautiful!!
Amazing !!!!
How fun!!!💙
Very nice!
❤❤❤❤❤
Andrea, are you in a warmer climate? It looks like it would be hot oh, but it is very flattering to the face.
She used to live outside Baltimore, but i don't know anymore. I think she was in Israel for a while, too.
That's your hair?? ❤
You are so sweet and pretty! I enjoy your presentations! Thank you 😍
It looks like a 16th century German roll cap.
A crown effect
They came back but will be gone soon. Since they go so fast, each customer needs to be limited on how many they buy at one time. Ladies try to be more considerate of other ppl who wish to purchase these. Especially since you only wear ONE at a time.
💕🇮🇱
*Regal* is right! I adore my Bobo Shapers (one black and one white) and got an email from Wrapunzel this morning introducing the Mini Bobo. What a great idea! For those who prefer to show their hairline, this smaller one places the stuffed portion further forward than the full-sized one can when seated further back. Thank you Andrea and Wrapunzel Ladies! ❤️
I just bought two. This will save me from piling on multiple scarves towards the back in order to get that "crown" look that I like. As an aside, it looks sort of like a bustle.
Wow. I’ve never thought this style would be flattering for my face shape, but this looks so cool. I may have to give it a try now.
This is reminds me of traditional Russian head covering aka kokoshnik. I have one in black. My one struggle is "hole" that forms in the back. Scarfs tend to fall into it, do not run straight across.
I'm still excited to see more on half-wraps. I've had ... issues accomplishing this, in the past (mind you, without the aid of a shaper. I'm really curious what you'd recommend.
Oh my finally I just ordered one I have to get more I’ve been using other methods and nothing looked as nice as this. I love half wraps thank you so much. You have no idea how long I’ve looked for something like this. Leorah said I should call or email you about one. Lol thank you 🙏
This has become my favorite shaper, though I’m a beginner. It’s the most breathable and comfortable of the shapers I’ve tried (Signature, Cloud9, Wendy, Classic), I think because it doesn’t sit on top of my bun or pinned hair. I can wear it all day without a problem, and I just adore the shape it makes and the way it frames the face. Thanks Andrea and Wrapunzel Ladies!
Do you think it is cooler than the other shapers? I'm having hot flushes through menopause and I get so bo in a Wendy.
@@dee4174 Yes, I do! Pinning my hair flatter is more comfortable when wearing a Wendy, but a quick, high ponytail is just fine with the Bobo, and feels super-secure. As long as you’re wearing a breathable scarf, it’s cooler, for sure. (I avoid synthetics, especially in hot weather.) I was intimidated by the Bobo at first, but now it’s my favorite!
Very simple, well thought out! And your hair can breath, bonus!
What a great concept, as it is not always the most appropriate to have so much volume when dressing more casually. The ties are a nice idea too, keeping a snug fit around the head without risk of velcro snag! Cant wait to order mine!
Andrea, you are so precious, your enthusiasm and care for helping women has always inspired me.
I love it, although I am a little unsure about how the back looks. I would have to figure out about an adjustment at the back.
I am thinking it would work nicely with a signature or another smaller shaper underneath. We would still get the nice frame around the face but with a rounded shape at the back
Very pretty, looking like a female pharao!
WOW. You can even use it just as is for a medieval look. Love it! Instead of tucking the long ends in, you can make a bow or wrap it up the top bit.
Oh Wow! That might need to come home with me!
Yay, happy birthday to me! Perfect timing!
Happy Birthday!!!
I wish you a hundred more birthdays 🎂and a life of happiness!!!
Have a wonderful blessed birthday 🎂!
Happy birthday!!🎁🎉
Happy birthday sweety🙏👑💗Did you get yourself this gift?
I will have to save up for this
They are completely sold out.
Thanks so much, its rasiert than normal for me...live it.
I really like this.
Very nice!! I love your videos. I have a question: are there any blessings/ prayers that you recommend that we can say when we cover? It’s a mitzvah for me and I would love to learn a blessing / or prayer that I can say while I’m covering. Thank you for your videos. I learn so much from you🙏🏽
Technically, hair covering is a custom that has been regarded by many as a mitzvah. This custom has been much debated over the centuries, both by rabbinic authorities and by women - two diverse groups in and of themselves.
In addition, not all mitzvot require a blessing. In some cases, the opposite is true: a blessing is specifically *not* said.
Regarding Jewish women’s headcovering, there isn’t a prescribed blessing for it. And since the standard formula for blessing specifies “…Adonai…who has commanded us,” there must be a specific blessing prescribed to fit a commanded action, in order to recite one.
Years ago, I researched the history of Jewish women’s headcovering for a college paper. The prof was an Orthodox rabbi, who gave me an “A” on the paper, so the reasoning is sound. Without going into all the details, there are disagreements in the sources about the origin of the obligation for married women. Some authorities claim it’s a Torah commandment; others say it’s rabbinic. Either way, no specific blessing has been prescribed.
Another factor: many traditionally observant Jewish women wear a wig to cover their hair (a practice begun by European Jewish women in the 17th century, to be fashionable, which was opposed by most rabbis of the time as an attempt by Jewish women to hide their Jewishness). This means that the blessing would have to pertain to donning a wig, too. To my knowledge, this has never been done.
Jewish tradition is more commandment-based than emotion-based. We don’t just invent blessings based on how we feel, without consulting a rabbi. So a formal blessing would be inappropriate, strictly speaking.
That said, you could create a personal *intention* that doesn’t include the blessing formula. You could, for example, state your intention to uphold the tradition of our matriarchs Sarah, Rivkah, Rachel, and Leah - and/or any Jewish foremothers who are meaningful to you. The advantage of this not being a formal blessing is that you could vary it as you wish.
Or you could make it a declaration of faith in G-d, and/or our tradition. Or dedicate the action formally to whomever or whatever you choose. You could choose to do it in honor of someone living, or in memory of someone who has passed away.
There are lots of creative ways to enhance the mitzvah without using the blessing formula inappropriately.
(I’m speaking from a traditional POV. Those who wrap but are of a more liberal POV often alter the blessing formula as they wish, disregarding the aspect of commandedness. Each person must follow their own conscience.)
I hope this is helpful. And yes, I’m an actual historian.
Oh my goodness your souls out already NOooooooo
I know I almost bought 2 but couldn’t afford it after paying bills. I thought I will buy more Friday I get paid 😝 sold out I guess it will be very popular in the states. I half wrap in summer as I over heat. This will be amazing
Did you stop wrapping? May I ask why you now show your hair?
She is no longer married, so she is able to show her hair.
I also wondered this.
