Oh the red squirrel 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️ was a cute little guy,
I love sleeping in a tent when it’s raining.💗💗🏔⛺️🥾
I did the mule ride as a kid. It is a memory I will never forget.
Aw....another nice day with you on the Armchair AT! We are almost there and I am sure it will be a wonderful feeling at the finish line. See you tomorrow!
I just hiked the Grand Canyon this past May from the north rim to the south rim. The best part of the GC is down in the Canyon, not looking at it from the rims. The pack trains were amazing and the views were awesome.
I told my son's that my hope for them is that they're in good enough health to hike the GC when there 67 years old. I am planning a through hike of the AT for next year.
It's been amazing to follow you on your hike and thanks for taking me along. Let me be one of the first to congratulate you on completing one of your bucket list items.
You’re bout there!!!!🥾🥾⛺️
I have the duplex and will use a stick on each side for elevation creating more head room . Love it!
Got to love those Maine views and great campsites! enjoyed , thanks
The rain seemed to start as soon as you mentioned how the hardest climbs were behind you lol. Beautiful lake and campsite hope you see a moose!
I am hoping that you see a moose! We have lived in Maine for almost 14 years, hiked all over including parts of the AT and Katahdin and have yet to see a moose! Or a bear for that matter! Keep Smiling! Happy Trails! Safe Travels!
Hey Tex, I'm enjoying re-living my hike through your filming; great job! You've captured so many scenes that I missed. I enjoyed watching you try to get past the spruce grouse that were on the trail in your previous video. Thanks for putting up with me. Hope those mules are treating you well. Table Saw.
Tablesaw?!?? Awwww so cool to see you here! Did I send you the pic of us on the last day? Are you on Facebook so I can send it via Messenger?
Beautiful trail and creeks! The moose are watching you 🏔lol! Take care am cheering for you 😎☕️🎃TX👍🏻
Ok, remember to take it easy the rest of the way (feet)…20 miles? All the best…so close to K. 🙂🙏
So close to seeing a moose, but only tracks. There are still a few more days to see Bullwinkle! That was a lot of rain.
Those lakes look so beautiful.
My wife and I did the mule ride in 2009.
Love this video
Moose can barely see.... but have great hearing and scenting ability. They hear hikers coming from a great distance unless one is stealthy. So many hikers use trekking poles or talk in the woods that you'll never see the moose.
Love this final section! I’ve been holding off asking this question: Will your RUclips channel continue with The Adventures of Tex the Wrangler?
You’ll get at least one! 🤠
Thank you! I know it’s your job and it may not be appropriate. It’s just that I grown comfortably accustomed to hearing from you.
Soooo close! You go girl!! I am so excited for you!!! Have you been uncomfortable at all hiking alone?
No, there’s plenty of people on the trail
That’s not fungi, it’s frog stairs! LOL talking to all the wild life, are you sure you weren’t Snow White in a prior life. LOL
The next level up from raining cats and dogs is raining gift horses.
🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏
Very nice video. Well put together. You work at the Grand Canyon? Cool. Do you work for the park service or a concessionaire?
I WISH the park service! But it’s a concessionaire
@@lisaphikes okay. I finally retired from the NPS last year. Great job.
One day closer. Your feet seem to be holding up.
What’s going thru your mind as you are getting closer to the end of your journey?
I was trying to soak it in. I knew I had to start work again almost immediately afterward.
Are you going to continue to vlog from the GC?
I’ll get at least one in!
Stay dry. ✌️👊
🦋❤
Honestly, Antlers is just ok……but there are 4 bars of reception.
How long does it take that Montbell to wet out? Pretty long? Still debating my “buy once, cry once” packable rain gear
It’s the best one I’ve seen. I used an umbrella of course, but the clothes I wore under my rain gear never got wet.
@@lisaphikes thank you so much for taking the time to respond, I do appreciate it.
Have you noticed the shift in your attitude about hiking in the rain?
Yes. I am SO over hiking in bad weather. Been there, don’t that. 😆😆
It’s not so bad though. I just abhor flooded trails or hiking steep sections when it’s slick.
I think you might be allergic to rain!
👋
Maybe you should hold off summiting and just walk around in big circles until you see a moose.
