Constructively? Destructively? Your whole way of thinking about things is going to be destroyed. I have been living in the new universe for about 25 years. I will be at home. You don't even know how to think in the coming universe. I'll give you a hint. Hitler was an abused child.
You are seeing it through a glass darkly. It came about through an anti-democratic process. Information was withheld. Critical information. On many, many, levels. Things are bound to be unruly and violate norms until that gets sorted and revised norms established.
Trump is an immoral lying anti-democrat who will cause great damage. Unfortunately, Kamala's base is not only the same but also totalitarians with institutional power who weaponizes it against ordinary thought-criminals and those of us they resent from birth. Your worst fear of what Trump might do, is what they do on a daily basis, but even if it wasn't, I'm not going to pick the side of those who want everything to be about identity and label mine as wrong. No self-reflection on their side reaches further than "we need to think about the message" and even that sentiment gets immediately met with denial and attacks. This is what they are.

If Trump wins the blame falls square on the Democratic Party and the Mainstream Media for being distracted in petty personal vendettas rather than emphasising the crucial points.
Er... Really? Nah. The Media is no longer the 5th Estate but instead are the 5th Column instead. They have eschewed focussing on democracy, but rather want to survive the onslaught of the internet. Accordingly they are willing to exploit, or create the politicians who are willing to provide them with clicks and views. Their owners are as distanced and estranged from the public as the politicians they court. To them the public are marks to farmed for outrage, to garner views and clicks. Their not going to kill the golden goose. Indeed they want more drama and more outrage. Its a reality TV show for them.
Protest against corruption and voter fraud like in Venezuela and Moldova, and yes- Jan 6th, is part of the Democratic norm. Oppression and jailing of those protestors for their protest is NOT the democratic norm. Having 20,000 soldiers guard your inauguration is NOT a democratic norm. 2020 was not fairly conducted. Anyone who says otherwise is either being deliberately dishonest, is fearful of the democratic conflict it would have/can still create in the United States if Democrats continue to openly and brazenly violate Democracy at the ballot box and get away with it as a default position of "normality". Tammany Hall isn't even known about by most Americans, let alone Non-Americans. The historical precedent is unmistakable. And yes, there needs to be hostility and opposition to the labelling of Trump as a Fascist. If Trump wins it'll be because a (r)Republican Popular Movement won against a Bureaucratic, Undemocratic machine of politics in the Democrat Party.
Thank you Vlad. The calming way you break down the current issues that give me anxiety has helped me very much over the last couple years. I hope you are feeling better
Thank you for bringing light to this - Vance and the political implications of his actions are so often overlooked or misunderstood. Love and health to you and all.
That’s what worries me more this time, in 2016 this wasn’t as clear so there were people around him who still respected democratic norms, January 6th has attracted people around who are committed to breaking democratic norms. As an aside it was interesting watching Jenrick trying to be Farage during the Conservative leadership contest, undermining institutions like the Police and then complaining that people are losing faith in institutions, I find it sickening watching the lack of morality on display.
Protest against corruption and voter fraud like in Venezuela and Moldova, and yes- Jan 6th, is part of the Democratic norm. Oppression and jailing of those protestors for their protest is NOT the democratic norm. Having 20,000 soldiers guard your inagueration is NOT a democratic norm.
I don't understand why people are so obsessed with Jan 6th. Political violence was normalized way before, in particular during the violent BLM protests for example, with destruction of property, looting, Bike-lock bashing and the assault of minors by registered s*x offenders. The left started it and now they are upset that everyone is doing it. It's also much less problematic to block a political institution than it is to block private property and infrastructure.
Thanks for providing context. It puts my mind at ease. Here’s a coffee, think of me while you enjoy it and I will do the same for you when I have my next one ☺️
I have listened to JD Vance for hours in various podcast platforms. Conclusion: JD Vance has no identity of his own. He is like water, without any psychological infrastructure of his own, formless and formed by whomever/whatever circumstance will provide him with substance. His oleaginous pseudo-intellectualism is immediately repellent to most - in person. Wallowing in the dank corners of the internet, in communion with the far right “intelligentsia” has given him the illusion of substance. He is a very, very strange dude.
Roughly half of Americans want, and even see necessity in, the pestilence that the former president offers. That desire doesn't go away if the candidate goes away. The next candidate will seek to fill the same role.
Vance believes he is in a win-win situation. Trump wins and Vance becomes VP. Trump loses and he is in a position to take up the mantle from Trump. Vance is an incredibly repugnant individual, but that appeals to some people.
He made a mistake, though. He admitted that Trump lost the 2020 election. Since then, Trump has put Elon Musk front and center at the events Trump attends and Vance is out in the boondocks. That's why it was such a sick burn when Kamla's VP candidate Tim Waltz recently called Elon Musk, Trump's "running mate". It was a burn directed at Vance. Papa Trump picked a new favorite and it's not you. Tim Waltz knows these people and how to get under their skin better than anybody out here. He is a Grand Master.
I’ve thought since Vance appeared on the Republican political scene, he sees himself as the heir -apparent. I take comfort that there are a lot of long knives in the MAGA leadership waiting for their opportunity to take over. I look forward to watching them take each other out. Vance lacks the raw appeal of the unthinking, totally impulsive Trump so he’s just another contender. May he be among the first to go.
I think you may be missing an alternative plank of Vance's excuse for outsourcing his moral integrity. It's that he also thinks - or it suits him to want to believe or to want to make others believe - that what will come afterwards will justify the chaos and destruction of tearing the current system down. Violently if that's what it takes. And based on lies and false premises if that's what it takes. That's the case even if Vance thinks the current order is going to end anyway (though personally I believe he thinks destruction is necessary as a means of bringing about an end to the current order that would not otherwise ensue). It is reminiscent of something I read once in the London Review of Books about Michael Gove - the "conservative", right of centre, British former TV journalist turned politician, who was one of the masterminds of Brexit - one of the few pictures on his office wall was of Lenin. The new right may be using the trappings of conservatism, and the vehicles of mainstream, traditional parties, but they have a teleological belief in "creative destruction" and in the ends justifying the means.
@howtoappearincompletely9739 exactly the right question. I'm not sure even Vance knows, beyond it favouring the very wealthy and keeping the patriarchal Christian right on side.
@@johnmurray7905 thanks for that observation, I'd forgotten that. To be clear I'm not suggesting that Gove and Vance and Bannon have exactly the same ultimate goals, or that they would agree with each others' ultimate goals, or that they would advocate exactly the same methods. But there are discernible commonalities.
@@davidloveday8473 I imagine Vance and Bannon share the same goals, I also think that if Trump won they would promptly replace him with Vance by citing Trump's visibly declining mental state.
Vlad, what got me about what JD Vance said about Britain being the first Muslim nation to have nuclear weapons, is the factural inaccuracy as The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has had a nuclear arsenal since 1998 (and began developing them in 1972).
There is a weird physical phenomenon of these politicos looking more tired and puffy once they fully give in to Trump. Look at the before and after of JD Vance, Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. I really wonder if there is something physical happening to them once they make that mental switch. I'm not kidding or trying to be funny.
@@larrygerry985 Just "1 thing" is hardly a challenge, in the case of this particular public figure. Do you not think that falsely and knowingly accusing a demographic of a specific crime -- allegedly perpetrated against the public in general -- is nasty?? I don't think his retrospective attempt at justification, when fact-checked and challenged: _"If I have to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that's what I'm going to do”_ un-nastifies the act, does it, in your view? Not his worst offence, but a rather straightforward one to describe.
You're speaking the astrology beautifully Vlad. "An old political order, an old way of doing politics is coming to an end." It's almost the exact translation of Pluto, which represents tremendous unseen governmental, corporate and elite power, coming to the last degree of Capricorn, ruled by Saturn jointly thought of as Santa and satan, Father Winter, and Father Time and the old political order, in a sign of constrction, limitation, hierarchy, patriarchy, that rules bones, teeth, skin, knees, structures and systems. And it's been in this sign since 2008 where it made a big messy splash. It will exit soon after the US election and move into Aquarius, The sign of collaboration, community, networking, working men and women, unions, guilds, systems that benefit the collective, and the greater good. Spot on.
Vlad, you're looking much more comfortable and rested in this video and your cable-knit sweater. Happy fall, and thank you for sharing your thoughts as a political philosopher and observer of figures who choose to be political "animals."
One way to look at this is to consider whether a person is fundamentally a builder or a breaker. Breakers work by throwing rocks, using dynamite, and punching whoever is in reach. Their goal is not to build something new but simply to tear down what is. This works because there’s a lot of “built up” infrastructure and economy to be torn down before the breaker is back to hardscrabble agrarianism. One other benefit of being a breaker is the sense of power from surveying the wreckage and saying “I did that.”
I love your content - And very insightful. I just feel bad about one thing - Everytime you say "hello beautiful community", I cant help thinking of the scene from Lethal Weapon 2, where Joss Ackland says "Diplomatic immunity" before Danny Glover takes care of business.
I must say it surprises me a bit how many far right, anti-democratic neo-fascist types seem to be regular and faithful followers of this channel. What does this mean?
A lot about Vance is explained by his in 2019 conversion to RadTrad Catholicism via Rod Dreher (author of Benedict Option, now living in Hungary and pro-Orban). Vance takes the same approach as Dreher, who spells out reason for support for Trump in the Oct. 2024, European Conservative article, "The Enemy of My Enemy Is Donald J. Trump". I think they both, Dreher and Vance, feel very moral and justified (by God himself) about their approach. If they continue they are headed for an unholy communion with the Russian Orthodox Church of Moscow. David Bentley Hart has tremendous insight into this evil heretical spiritual turn, posing as Christianity, which is spreading here and abroad. Speaking of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow, Hart explains, "the Russian Orthodox church of the Moscow patriarchate is now officially a fascist cult of blood and soil" and "the fiction here is that Kirill is actually in any sense a Christian. He is, it seems fairly obvious, basically a satanist..."
From a Canadian perspective, I am starting to hear discussions by major political commentators here expressing concern for the security of the Canadian far north, particularly against Russian hybrid warfare. The concern is being expressed by people who never discuss defence policy, because of the possibility of Trump election and his threat to abandon mutual defence treaties with Canada. It makes me wonder if Canada may shift back a foreign policy closer to the 1890s, where we were much more integrated with the imperial centre in London. The relationship now would be far more equitable. But as a Canadian, it is very weird to hear this kind of rhetoric from Toronto elite. Canada has relied on a high degree of predictability and stability to the south since at least April 4, 1917.
Don't worry, NORAD will survive and Trump will be defeated. Probably. The fact that Trump even has a chance is disturbing indeed but I'm confident that our neighbors to the south will make the right decision and keep him out of office. Remember what Churchill said about the Americans: they always do the right thing, they just have to try everything else first (paraphrased). They tried Trump and now they're ready to do the right thing (let's hope).
Vlad - on an unrelated note I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the Spanish floods. It seems to me that the ecological catastrophe has shown the interface between the effects of climate change and inadequacy of the governments response widening the gap in citizens trust in government. I wonder if you think this is a dynamic that could play out further.

Er... Really?
But that is the essence of him being a fascist.
@@personzorz - Fascism is whatever you want it to be, so long as it benefits your political technology.
Thank you Vlad. The calming way you break down the current issues that give me anxiety has helped me very much over the last couple years. I hope you are feeling better
Thank you for bringing light to this - Vance and the political implications of his actions are so often overlooked or misunderstood. Love and health to you and all.
Excellent characterization, Vlad - regarding Vance: "He's someone who still tries to be consistent about his lies...unlike Trump." So well said.
Great to see you back at the desk. You are looking better this week. 💪
Thank you Vlad for expending your valuable energy on us. Your beautiful and lovely approach is priceless! Hope you get better! ❤
Thank you.
There is a fairly good chance JD Vance will become the President sometime in the next 4 years. It's fine.
Said no-one with an ounce of humanity or morality.
I honestly much rather him than Donald. Yes he is not a good man either but much better than Trump.
Thank you Vlad for the clear explanation
Is it just me or does Vlad look fab in that wooly jumper?!
It's not just you. Really fits his personality well.
@kentalanlee it does! Love Vlad.❤️ His calm and benevolent energy (and jumper rizz) is top drawer!
Un comentariu pentru algoritm ❤❤❤!
You are looking well! I agree with your assessment of this coward.
I love your sweater!
Good to see you healthy enough to be at your normal recording spot
sweater weather for Vlad!
Glad to see your getting better n looking cosy in your sweater !🌹
Vlad, you're looking a bit better now. Maybe just the lighting, but whatever it is, keep on with it.
Thanks so much!

@ storming a building is not protesting.
@@edmurth okay, just as you hold that standard universally
I don't understand why people are so obsessed with Jan 6th.
Political violence was normalized way before, in particular during the violent BLM protests for example, with destruction of property, looting, Bike-lock bashing and the assault of minors by registered s*x offenders.
The left started it and now they are upset that everyone is doing it. It's also much less problematic to block a political institution than it is to block private property and infrastructure.
Nice to see you feeling better.
Thanks for providing context. It puts my mind at ease. Here’s a coffee, think of me while you enjoy it and I will do the same for you when I have my next one ☺️
Thank you!
Agreed. A profoundly strange and creepy individual.
Not that I'm a Vance fan, but have you listened to Harris for more than 1 hour?
@@masketkiller101 Yup, and she sounds far more decent, human and relatable than the freak-show maga cult
@@masketkiller101 It is ok to dislike both.
@@masketkiller101 Sad that you really can discern no difference between these two people.
He is, from my viewpoint, laying the foundations for the post trump era.
There's a third option, Trump wins and Vance replaces him by highlighting his mental decline.
Millions in fact.
Good to see you up and about! GREAT SWEATER!
Thanks
Fascinating. What is meant to replace the status quo?
@howtoappearincompletely9739 exactly the right question. I'm not sure even Vance knows, beyond it favouring the very wealthy and keeping the patriarchal Christian right on side.
Bannon described himself as a "Leninist".
Absolutely correct!
They have finally replaced Vlad. He would never wear something like this. It's over.
Good to see you back in front of the camera again. Take care.
.. young people have no idea what a broken record is..or an unbroken one.
I adore how you threw that book away.
❤ Your beautiful community loves you ❤
Thanks!
He's not outsourcing his integrity, he's sold it outright.
I’m going to make a superficial comment: I really like the sweater you’re wearing Vlad
My greatest hope for Vance, is that he would be playing Professor Snape. Working to undermine and monitor the bad guys while wearing their cloak.
Vlad, what got me about what JD Vance said about Britain being the first Muslim nation to have nuclear weapons, is the factural inaccuracy as The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has had a nuclear arsenal since 1998 (and began developing them in 1972).
One of the few public intellectuals who presents a clear and coherent world view.
I find it interesting that JD’s face looks like an actual mask
They eye liner maybe? 😂
@@jeffreybutcher4451 this is true
maybe he's a Reptiloid
No excuses, Vance is just Nasty.
Why? Name 1 thing that is demonsterable "nasty"? And how is this different to any other candidate?
@@larrygerry985How is your third question even relevant?
@@larrygerry985Vlad's grasping at imaginary straws in desperation 😂
@@larrygerry985 Just "1 thing" is hardly a challenge, in the case of this particular public figure. Do you not think that falsely and knowingly accusing a demographic of a specific crime -- allegedly perpetrated against the public in general -- is nasty?? I don't think his retrospective attempt at justification, when fact-checked and challenged: _"If I have to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that's what I'm going to do”_ un-nastifies the act, does it, in your view? Not his worst offence, but a rather straightforward one to describe.
What mature political commentary.
I love your sweater, where did you get it?
I dish the sweater!
Vlad got a new friend 🤗 Mr Robin 🐦😊
So sad… The only good thing is hearing from you, dear Vlad…
I love your content - And very insightful. I just feel bad about one thing - Everytime you say "hello beautiful community", I cant help thinking of the scene from Lethal Weapon 2, where Joss Ackland says "Diplomatic immunity" before Danny Glover takes care of business.
I must say it surprises me a bit how many far right, anti-democratic neo-fascist types seem to be regular and faithful followers of this channel. What does this mean?
I read "The immortality of JD Vance" and I thought "What happened?!?" 😅
I admire you so much.
I first read "immortality" and was concerned a bit.
