I'm using the same titanium tailpiece with good results. It is very light and transfers more vibrations and hence gives clearer and louder sound. It works ok with titanium gut and higher tension strings, Evah Pirazzi or Warchal Timbre for example. It is a good idea to adjust soundpost a bit to the right to enhance bass register. I'm using a bit higher bridge on G string for the same reason. The only drawback is that wooden tailpiece has more comlexity and overtones, titanium is more straightforward, it gives you clearer and louder voice, but lacks richness of the wooden tailpiece. I'd recommend it to warm, dark sounding instruments to give it some extra transparency and brillance.
Glad you got something out of this. This video was a live swapping over 30 minutes compressed with the fast forward timelapse. One should be able to see it was a straight swap out, with a visual sound post check without any movements and a few minute string settle!
I would have liked to hear your opinion. You can hear and feel the diference way better then us, the viewers
Wow you can hear the difference big time, i just ordered me a cheap violin. Im thinking about getting one of these

Pernambuco tailpiece: sounded more complex, warmer and softer...❤️
Titanium Tailpiece: sounds so metallic and extremely powerful!😮😆
Those are great observations!

If the pernambuco tailpiece were a paint brush, the titanium tailpiece would be a ball peen hammer.😂
What about a snakewood tailpiece?
Wonderful sound. Which tailpiece is the wooden one and which string are you using.
Hi Qutub, the wooden tailpiece is pernambuco, and strings are Thomastik Rondo A, D, G with 24k Gold Optima medium E.

Hi Thomas, the difference is remarkable! Did you do any other adjustments on the instrument between changing tailpieces?
