The hard plastic piece on only the back of the front passenger seat is for when it’s folded down and you’re loading up something 8 feet long. It’s to protect the seat from being damaged
I sold my 2014 Impala LTZ to buy this vehicle, I gotta say it's the best decision I've ever made. I have bad knees due to my military service. It's so easy for me to get in and out of. Also, it's fully loaded, and I love the Android Auto... I don't have to pay for navigation. I recommend this vehicle for those who want something fun and dependable. It's not meant for speed and power, but it gets the job done.
20 years old and wanted a nice, first, new car buy with up to date electronics and space to carry my gear for work definitely meets my criteria definitely can say I’m not disappointed with my purchase!
Nice review although you didn’t mention nice for retired couples. We bought ours a month ago and we love it. I guess we’re not used to race cars or trying to impress that much but it’s a beautiful car with great pick up and fun to drive at any age. I guess by the time you’re retired and you buy a brand new car we’re supposed to impress our neighbors more.
Agreed Jack. I’m 58 and I just got mine today. After looking at it the cargo area/3cyl turbo/panoramic sunroof as well as awesome entertainment center is what sold me. The car is definitely spunky and very comfortable for its class. It’s fuel efficient for people on a fixed income but also fun. I love it and hopefully I won’t need a new car again. 👏👏
@@queensryke1 we actually went for the basic model. I hope it lasts. I don’t know if they’ve been around long enough to know that but thanks for the reply I’m 70 so I figure this could be my last car since right now I’m not interested in electric and actually want nothing to do with them. We’ll see if we’re forced into it. Otherwise I’ll stick with what I’m used to putting gas in the tank.
@Jack June I hope we all enjoy our trailblazers for a long time to come. I’m not an electric car fan either, so this will be my last car if I can help it. Best of luck on your adventures.
@@queensryke1 same to you I have to go another 11 years at least till age 81 to break even on my Social Security so I wanna last at least that long. They’ve had my money for years as it’s been devaluing. At least I can get back some of it.
Just bought a 2023 for 28k and I’m in the middle of California so I say that’s a great price!!!! I love the awd for the snow and I get the gas mileage of a Honda Civic
Interesting timing for this review. I just watched a review for the Toyota GR Corolla. While it sits lower than this Trailblazer, I wonder how close Chevrolet could come to a hot hatch with this vehicle? GR Corolla has a hot 3 cylinder, five door hatchback. Imagine the Trailblazer with a 300 hp three cylinder! Also, I believe the front passenger seat folds flat to allow you to haul long objects.
I'm sure zzp, bnr, or Trifecta will eventually make a tune and aftermarket parts for this. There are Chevy sonics that are running over 300+hp and they're 138 stock!
Unfortunately, we did not have it for highway driving, I will attempt to get one of the new 2024 models from Chevrolet for testing for a whole week here on our home turf.
The CX-30 turbo out classes trailblazer inside and out ....at 250 hp/320 lb.ft the cx-30 would leave the GM in the dust , and sound good while doing it , if you actually like to drive.

Couple major errors, but overall not a terrible review Should have done your homework. Number 1 is the shift is mechanical because it's not a CVT transmission. It's a 9 speed shifting tranny. 2 it does not replace the smaller Trax Trax has gone through an all new design remodel, and returns anew in 2024. You should have caught yourself on the transmission error by your drive. Carry on
Thanks for watching. I did catch the CVT, and must have missed one reference in the edit of this video. Literally had the thing for just over an hour because I reviewed 3 rigs that day. Check the description of the video, it’s correct there. At the time this was filmed and published, Trax had not been announced. Trax was a surprise announcement to most in the industry. With GM going EV crazy, no one saw a cheap ICE vehicle in the works

But thank you for your service most!
The dual exhaust is not fake; It's fully functional, & is hooked up to the muffler on both sides.

If you have the 155 HP 1.3 liter engine, isn’t that paired with the 9-speed automatic transmission, not the CVT?
You are correct. It was an incorrect statement.
The 9-speed is exclusive to AWD models on the Trailblazer. The CVT is only on the FWD models.
You convinced me to purchase this as my first car thank you so much🥰
Happy to have helped!!!

correct.
Auto trans is optional. Front fold flat seat is great for laptop use.

The RS all-wheel-drive does not have a CVT trans. It has a nine speed standard auto.
Correct. It was a mistake. Thanks for helping clarify for future viewers.
Does it accelerate well on the highway?

What does the Bose sound system sound like? Can you crank up that guitar solo?
Sounds as good as any other automotive application of a Bose system. Good not great.

Is there any major difference between a 2022 and a 2023? Or any difference at all?
2023s are carryover from 2022
They are plenty of differences

Eh, the 2.0T is my bottom floor and would've been MUCH better in this!
It is an interesting engine choice, for sure.
My only concern is the durability and power of the 3 cyl turbo.
Granted we only had it for a few hours, but it was plenty powerful for our time in it around town.

3 cylinder 🤔

155hp is not enough
To each their own. As long as you’re commuting in this, it’s enough.
@GTGarageTalk commuting is also trying to overpass a car on the freeway.Out of a 2lt engine they could get more hp out of it.
Yep and cold is cold. All relative. To some below freezing is the end of the world. Others ya need at least a 4 banger for 4X4.

it need a 4 cylinder turbo for the RS.
