      @@supriyo7303 ok, I'm trying to find the right voice to reply. I don't want to be a jerk, but what you've said feels aggressive.
      First, my comment was meant to be a compliment. I was expressing how much I enjoy his posts; that I need more of them.
      Second, I've been subbed for 2 years now (basically since Danya started posting on youtube) and I've definitely watched every single speedrun video. Some multiple times.
      What's more, I haven't just watched what is new. I've dug deep into the backlog of things that aren't speedrun which I missed. The only thing I don't watch is bullet because I can't comprehend chess positions that quickly.
      Finally, I don't know what makes you think I'm not "relaxed," because ultimately I was just trying to say something nice in a sort of silly way. Saying a kind thing is pretty relaxed.
      You can try the simple turnaround of "oh you wrote paragraphs so you're clearly upset" but I know that I wrote paragraphs to clearly explain myself, because you plainly needed that.
      Get yourself sorted. I comment to express my love for the content, not to talk shit. If you want to talk shit, take it elsewhere.

    3.Bg2 has been tried many times according to lichess masters database but it's a coin flip sideline. Majority drawish with about equal chance for black or white to win. 5.d4 is an important move in this line as it prompts black to commit to something in the center (take or push) right away. Everything else looks winning for black.

    • @argeagedg2655
      @argeagedg2655 2 года назад

      As someone who does this: I don't enjoy games with time trouble in long endgames or super tricky positions. So I'll often select a time control which is quite long compared to the pace I want to play at. It's not like it matters on an amateur level. You might be able to play at ~100 rating points higher if you don't do this, but I don't really care if my opponent is slightly worse, but compensates by thinking a bit longer.

    Yeet! This is my main opening with white and I’m hype to get it on the board every time bc it makes for such dynamic chess. I have trouble responding to 1... e6 and 1... Nf6. White obviously didn’t know that d4 was a must for any chance at a win and I love the English bc you are always striving for a d4 break and similar plans

    • @brunilda
      @brunilda 2 года назад

      well, I guess it makes sense (I play the English too). ...e6 aims to control the very same square you want control, d5 and in the process blunt your bishop. You can choose to switch to a Catalan, or allow a semi-Slav setup by black, or even try for a more classical English setup with d3, maybe allowing an eventual dxc4, recover with Qa4+ and still aim for play on the queenside, it depends on what positions one is comfortable in.
