    Magnus has a nice, bright face. A great Craftsman and certainly a good man. I like Magnus's style of play, it is based on limiting the possibilities for an opponent's counterplay, a kind of strategic lasso)

    Am I trippin or did Magnus make a mistake in the opening. When you see the battery of qd7 and be6 I think you’re supposed to play rook e1 to prevent the trade of the light squared bishops.

      Exactly that's what you should be doing bc the light square bishop is strong in the English but he's magnus so..

      actually you are wrong. magnus is playing the reverse sicilian and if you know anything about the dragon sicilian, grandmasters are often okay with the trade because it is a fair one and your opponent has one less piece to exploit your weak squares
      this is also why his opponent put off the move for so long
