In this series: 6:16 "not the best move, but again you can't be too critical with players of this level."
In the disrespect series, about a 2600 player: "he's just bad at chess, just bad. He doesn't know what he's doing. He should quit."

I only play the London system and the Scandinavian defense and all the openings that derive from them. I can say that after thousands of games I only see chess from this angle, I don't like e4. more cautious on white and aggressive on black. I believe that the secret of evolution in chess for any player is to play the same opening for both white and black without affecting the pawn structure that he proposed

Hey hikaru, been watching ur vids for some time now, u are without a shout of a doubt one of the greatest chess youtubers of all time. Although I think you could add some jenesequa and some more funny gestures or gimmicks, kinda the way gothamchess does it. Hey man, not comparing you but complimenting you. Stay well man!!🥂🥂

Just learned the london system from Gotham. This video is perfect timing

This video is good when you've just learned the London, because it shows some example games featuring the London.
Hikaru isn't actually teaching you the London. He's just analyzing the positions the games end up on.

    "What are you watching?"
Me: Nothing, just watching hikaru drawing arrows on the board.
