My my professor has suggested I look more into the I/O psychology world and I find it super fascinating! I was wondering how did you go from a college graduate to a consultant? What was that path like and what advice would you have for people interested in the same thing? Thank you!
This is awesome. I am currently pursuing my PH. D In IO psychology. I am doing a qualitative study of lived experiences of police officers and how they balance work life with their shift work schedule.
This was very helpful. I am happy with my choice in pursuing this. Hopefully when I get to grad school, I don’t change my mind and go a different direction.

I've read that IO Psychs get paid pretty well, it's one of the highest paying fields in psychology outside of therapy

1. What tips do you have as I am still only a teen but is there anything I can do now?
2. What is the pay like for this job? (you dont have to tell me your pay obviously 😂 but just a rough estime of the average)
3. Is it ever very emotionally challenging?

@@paulinagarcia4192 i earned my degree in 2022 and walked in 2023. I’ve applied for jobs while i was in the program and I haven’t been able to find a job in it. So I’m changing career paths

Did, uh...did you ever find anything? Im trying to decide on a graduate program, but Im terrified of pursuing anything if i might get screwed over in the end. I have my BA already. Just biding my time until I figure out which MA/MS path to pursue.

I am starting my masters degree in I/O in the fall, and I'm wondering about how your thesis work during your schooling affected the career path you chose. What I'm slightly worried about is being pigeon holed by my thesis topic, and not having an opportunity to focus on other aspects of I/O when I join the workforce. Was your experience that you had many options? Or were you limited to the expertise that your grad project provided?

When I went back to school (for a semester 😅) I majored in I/O Psychology. I would like to go back, but should do more research before reapplying 😅😅I think it's such an interesting career and would like to combine this with my experience in the fashion industry 😬

To be a Clinical Psychologist, yes you need to be licensed.

You do not need a PhD to get an io job. I know that it requires a masters in io! I think that you can do that
