- We, humans, are sensitive creatures with deep emotions and feelings. So, sometimes when things are not going our way because of a bad week, we will occasionally snap.
Celebrities in Hollywood are no different. Busy schedules and moving from long days on a film set to jumping on a plane and doing hours of press junkets can cause even the sanest person to go bonkers.
It’s also not surprising for celebrities to actually lose it during an interview. A question delivered at the wrong time can be all it takes to trigger anger and awkwardness. Here are the celebs who ripped their interviewer to shreds.

Which of these interviews are the most awkward?
The Jim Everett interview.
The Tom Cruise interviews.
Car(l)as definitely. She should appreciate someone wanting to promote her and her work yet she behaved like a spoilt brat. So what if someone mispronounced your name? The story of my life...
Almost all the men in these interviews come off as autistic, celebrities and interviewers.
I hope Everett's interviewer in particular got fired afterwards.
Robert Downey Jr. v. Krishnan Guru-Murthy
I really love the way Anne Hathaway handled the interview because he would not let up from talking about her body. I'm glad she got him.
GOT HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEM
Me too enjoyed that! Taste your own medicine!
She's so polite about it, but she got him in the most hilarious way.
Because the movie was about the body, certainly not about story or acting ability.
Anne Hathaway exhibited tact & diplomacy which are rear traits
Recovering addicts shouldn’t be asked about their dark pasts it’s plain rude to ask about it
When you're a public figure nothing is off limits. You know what's involved when you choose this line of work. The plus is making millions for doing very little. The negative would be nothing is private so if they can't handle that choose a different profession or become irrelevant. Simple.
@@Me-ki7mc That's a very interesting way of looking at someones personal rights. I bet if you were in their shoes you would be tbe first person to defend yourself. And I'll be here waiting to replace your comment.
@@sarah-annecarney5458 Replace away. It doesnt change the fact that you know that's part of it when you choose that career. If you want to whine about privacy then it might not be the career for you.
@@Me-ki7mc I mean yea but like, when it comes to personal privacy theres no such thing as no limits. I can see why you think that choosing that career would result in that but that doesn't change the fact that he doesnt want to talk about a dark past. Its still rude and interviewers should respect that. The world shouldnt know that info because its really personal, your career choice doesnt affect that
@@Me-ki7mc ye it happens but though the interviewer is doing the job, for a person of his past, knowing the surface of it, its better to not ask. If we're talking abt Robert Downey Jr, its just not smthing ur sposed to do. Also, I agree with you bit my argument was for Robert so like, I dont really disagree with you much if that makes sense. Its just something he and other former addicts dont wanna talk abt
The same guy asked Scarlett Johansson if she wore underwear in the black widow costume. Seems like a super creep but maybe that’s his audience.
No, he's just creepy. You're instincts are spot on. I have yet to hear him make an appropriate comment regarding women.
The guys a creep
Anne's response to him was great. I don't think I could have kept my cool like that.......
I had "creepy" thoughts about Anne Hathaway after seeing her in that cat suit
The interviewer you are referring to, I do not know his name, but seen him do that to multiple females. He IS creepy, IMO.
Isn't the guy interviewing Anne Hathaway the same guy who asked Scarlett if she wore any underwear under her Black widow costume? What's this guy's deal?!
Zaara Nausheen sexism
Exactly!
And what's worse it Jeremy Renner who sat next to Scarlett just listen to him and getting along with him.
@@margarethmichelina5146 I don't know if I'd say it's worse. The rapport between the original Avengers actors seems very good and they do come to her defence when needed but in that case it seemed like he knew she could handle the situation herself.
Maybe he needs to be fired?
“Are you trying to fit into a cat suit?”
Lmao
Having Tea With the Devil so classy yet such a burn lol
I thought she was gonna go all captain marvel on him with a feminist attitude so I was prepared not to like it, but her reaction was perfect. She shut that shit down hilariously
"Well, now that you mention it... is yours available?"
“are you trying to fit into a catsuit?” SAVAGE
ConstantDayDream, “No we NEEED to talk about this.”
Those interviewers for Cara delevigne were absolute jerks
I'm surprised she stayed with it
Taylor Swift is so beautiful!
The interviewers were so annoying. And she's so beautiful jesus👼
"Are you trying to fit into a catsuit...?" Ahhh love her ahahah
lol
Kinky thought she has. 😉
How can you forget to add that in that interview with Cara one of the interviewers asked her if she even bothered to read the book and then dismissed her at the end telling her to go take a nap and drink a red bull to get some more energy?!
Natalie Ceballos
Dang that’s Rude !!!
Exactly, they didn't even bother to put in the really insulting parts in this video. The interviewers were talking to her as if she was some talentles clueless bimbo model who''s only famous cause of her eyebrows, and who probably doesn't bother reading. I'm amazed she didn't just walk out.
Wooooooow
The dude gave him a straight up warning, he didn't listen and got beat...what did he think would happen?
I know right ...got told to his face not to say it again and the guy is shocked a table gets turned over and nearly tossed through a wall? Some people just can't take a hint unless it is growled an inch from their face.
@@m.l.tankesly2665 He's the equivelent of a 6-year-old taunting a parent or teacher.
The guy who asked RDJ also pissed off Tarantino and Sam Jackson and the guy who asked Anne Hathaway was also asking Scarlett Johansson whether or not she's wearing underwear while playing Black Widow. Why aren't these two guys get fired?
@margareth michelina - Unfortunately they pander to creeps and miserable people, that's why they are not fired. They like to stir things up and be toxic interviewers.
So they have tendencies?😂😂😂
They’re like the trolls of interviewers lol
Damn Hathaway roasted your boy.
Oh yeah!
You forgot Samuel l Jackson.. "I'm not Laurence Fishburne"
Now he really ripped him to shreds
Charlene - That was so hard to watch. I would say that was the most awkward.
That one was epic
😂😂😂
Samuel Jackson is old enough to be Lawrence Fishburne's dad.
RDJ has by FAR overcome his past. It's ludicrous to bring it up. Save it for the memiors, if he so chooses!
And, let's not forget, he had a very successful past, too, even in the midst of all of his struggles. No one would have cared about his past if he wasn't always a great talent.
Wow, I have always loved anne Hathaway, however the way she handles herself is sheer class. Literally next level. So many of us could take lessons 🥰💎👏🏻
RBJ be like "I do not love you 3,000."
RDJ*
@@caddiacidic7810 Fuck it. His name is Robert Brownie Jr.
@@justalyftdriver6831 well he's sweet like a brownie so I guess it fits 😂
@@justalyftdriver6831 😂😂😂
Just a LYFT Driver RDJ be like I do not love you period
My Dad took me to see Kill Bill, when I was 14 and I went and joined a martial arts class the next day. Continued for 7 years and learn whatever I can to defend myself or escape ever since.
You can tell its wait for it....a movie.
Robert Downey Jr made the greatest comeback in history. Love that dude.
'Becasue it's so much fun Jan! GET IT!?'
Always loved RDJ - don't know why people always have to bring up his past.
When your in the public eye, they are going to ask you about your controversies. The problem with the RDJ thing is, he's talked about it, and talked about it, and talked about it for years. There is nothing else to say about it. I can understand his frustration to being asked about the topic again, when there is literally nothing new to add to it. For an interviewer to bring it up when it has nothing to do with what they are talking about, its obviously just to stir shit up.
Seriously he's own it numerous tome idk why they continously bring it up. Its been over for a while, let it go.
Chelsea T - Exactly. He's there to promote a movie not to talk about something that has been brought up a million times. Most of these interviewers do that sort of thing to get a rise out of them or push their buttons.
Exactly. He's gotten better and moved up in life and he's just tired of people bringing up the person he was DECADES ago and he's done with it. I don't blame him being tired of it.
+Chelsea T why ? = 9:02
the football guy flipping the battle on the interviewer and pining him down obviously wins
I will never forget when Tom Cruise jumped on the couch next to Oprah saying he loves Katie Holmes lol 😂
And it got parodied in Scary Movies and Family Guy
That was a real chemical imbalance, lol.
Anne Hathaway is not my type of person to admire but she is so badass in this interview clip.
We are so fortunate that we didn’t lose the amazing RDJr to drugs. He is a brilliant actor. And he can sing too!
"Are you trying to fit into a cat suit??" 😭😭😭
She's definitely into some kinky stuff. 😉😃
"Ripped their interviewers to shreds"
"I'm ethnic"
WOW
That was VIOLENT
I’m surprised the Whitney Houston/Wendy Williams interview isn’t on here. She completely ripped Wendy a new one on live radio lol
Lol Jim Everett had me rolling.
Larry was not so bad here Seinfeld was egomaniacal.
Disagree with you here
I don’t think Seinfeld was hurt or angry. He was just ribbing Larry because he wasn’t prepared for the interview.
Seinfeld is cocky a lot and rude
Larry King WAS a great interviewer back in the day
Back in the day tho, journalists were to do research before the interview
If King can’t remember simple protocol I’m sure he was taught.... it’s time to shut up and retire
I find him quite annoying and pompous anyway
Bet this wasn’t the only time he pissed off someone
That said
Seinfeld saying
“ Do you know who I am ?”
Yeah Jerry
A has been comic who HAD his 15 mins of fame
Years Ago !
The one with Ariana clapping back an interviewer who asked her if she could live without her phone is so iconic
You're not going to get a great interview if you prod a sore spot. People only relax & open up when they feel accepted & not judged.
The Mike Tyson interview from a few years ago when he was going to whoop the interviewer butt... Classic!
Easy, I saw rdj
I clicked
Cause we stan a king
9:56
Things I would give up to know what RDJ is thinking is damn too high 😂😂
I remember same interviewer pissed Tarantino too
* whispers..... "Are you trying to fit into a cat suit?"
that was funny.
It's funny that Quentin Tarantino is criticized for how female characters are treated in his films when the actresses who portray these same characters agreed to their characters being treated in such a manner. Do you honestly think Tarantino forced Uma Thurman to portray a vengeful character like The Bride who gets taken advantage of, beaten to a bloody pulp, and beats others to a bloody pulp before killing them?
There's a difference between portraying a character who has been through these things, and actually showing it being done. He also improvises on set...uma has said on many occasions that she was uncomfortable doing the car stunt but he pressured her into doing it.
@@AliceOfWonders I do recall reading online about her level of discomfort having to do that stunt. At the end of the day I'll bet she doesn't regret that big, fat paycheck though.
Jim Everret my new fav football player.
Anne handled that well and funny
Interviewer's should do there research and think before they speak. Some of these things the interviewer's have said come across tone deaf, unecessary and uncalled for tbh. xxx
Please tell me that Bee Larry King interview scene from Bee Movie was referencing this interview
Tom Cruise: There is no such thing as a chemical imbalance...
Chemistry students: ...Say wut?...... *cricket noises*....
Taylor Swift doesn't want to be asked about the men in her life or labeled "boy crazy," but she writes about all of them in every crappy song. Girl, bye.
Almost every female artist writes about guys. Stop this.
Newsflash: song lyrics aren't direct, real-life experiences. They can be drawn from the experiences of friends, family, novels and movies, so they're not necessarily the writers own and can be purely fictional. You only need to be in love once to write a love song, yet you can write about it many times while disguising the object of that love.
@@bripond4847 I agree...heck nearly EVERY artist writes about love in general. Nobody bats an eye when male artists come out with song after song after song about relationships. Its so weird.
Tracey Trotter you’re soooo right! I much prefer YOUR platinum albums!
StuckyStuckyStucky dude. Nobody has a problem with other artists singing about relationships because they don’t call out people by name or drop RIDICULOUS “easter eggs” throwing all their stans on their exes. She’s a joke.
Even when interviewers don't know when to drop a subject, I am sick of hearing any so called celebrity say "Do you know who I am?". That tips me off that they have lost complete grasp of reality. What they focus on is most likely irrelevant to meeting any needs other than their own. That phrase "do you know who I am?" is small minded, narcissism at its best.
Well, to be fair, it's the interviewers' job to do some basic research. That's just basic professionalism.
Only Seinfeld's interview was just plain boring, the only ones that really mattered are the ones of RDJ, Anne Hathaway and co.
Icu Nicki, y all just wanted a reason to play Robert Downey Jr interview again. It's still awesome everytime
😆
I like when Jim Everett knocked the table over and we went after him. I'm supposed that didn't happen on the View.
Taylor handles all her interviews with confidence and boldness.
Seinfeld, "Do you know who I am?"
Me, "Yeah, you're a lucky bastard who rode a wave started by Larry David and supported by a cast way funnier than you ever were"
Taylor Swift; I don't want my love life in the press.
*Writes a bunch of songs about her relationships*
To be fair, just about every song that makes it to the charts is about...relationships. But I see what you mean. Songwriters write about what they know, so why SHOULDN'T people think she has relationship issues????
But the interviewer was being an ass by suggesting that Taylor's going to go crazy and bring boys home as the crazy-for-boys girl they think she is. It's annoying.
I was gonna say... Tom says “There is no such thing as a chemical imbalance” I seemed to remember him jumping up on Oprah’s couch like a nut himself. 🙄
The slight to Chris Evert and Jim Everett was insulting to both and Jim is legendary with his reaction.
That RDJ one had me pissed
Why? Because RDJ is absolutely and completely fed up with having to respond to his PAST. He's talked about his past ad-nauseum and he's fed up with toxic interviews and I do not blame him. The past is the past - it's over, why constantly bring it up?
@@MrSpock070460 Imagine having to talk about the same thing over and over again which not only is something you want to forget but also something you want people to forget about and acknowledge what you're doing now
The Anne Hathaway interviewer is always asking the women about their bodies... scarjo too
"BECAUSE IT'S SO MUCH FUN, JEN!"
0:14 I knew her interview will be here once I saw her. It is the biggest comeback EVER 😋😋
Stars are in the sky, celebrities are the folks on this piece.
Tom Cruise jumps on sofa? Big news at the time
Celebrities do the most insane shit, worse than the sofa jumping? Normal.
BECAUSE ITS SOO MUCH FUN JEN
Jim Everett do as he should, he gave him a warning, rome get what he deserves even though it's not enough
I love RDJ 3000
Is it just me or is it REALLY annoying when the person narrates the interview like just show me without cutting it off to say, "he added..."
Well, there is a thing called copyright. The producer of the video would have to pay, to air the entire scene. Do you live under a rock?
Jim Rome on the floor screaming 😱 help!!!!!
Next time people are being rude like this, I'll ask myself: "Does this situation call for Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, or RDJ?"
I'll go with Anne
Wait a second....that last bit on RDJ...that journalist...isn't that the dude from the Unreported World channel? O.O
This is why I only watch the Hot Ones interviews. They respect their guest on the show.
Anne has class I don’t know why people hate her.
we can't even see the clip without you talking over it. OMG
Cool cheers from Portugal 🇵🇹
9:30 I loved it when RDjr. put KG-M in his place. About time too. Sleazoid!
When the movie Elf became reality. “Call me Elf/Chris one more time” and the rage
RDJ is still delicious 😋 🤤
Celebs who ripped their intervierwer to shreds:
Actual interview: Hahhaa
You wanted people to run behind you whenever they saw you. Now, deal with it. 🤪
I have a very 'asshole-ish' sense of humor, I loved the Jesse eisenberg interview lol
I see RDJ I click
that's not how burn works lmaoo
You should have played the entire RDJ clip. He was much more polite to the interviewer than that guy deserved. It really was a spectacular way to shut someone down.
Yes he was. You could tell as soon as the question was asked he did not want to answer or talk about it anymore. His father and the drug/substance abuse had nothing to do with the interview or the movie. The other guy just wanted to stir the sh!t and RDJ noped out of there.
"Bye" 😊😈
these people are just incredible babies
So Taylor swift doesn't like to be asked about dating yet that's all she sings about
Yes, the problem is not just her singing about it but leaving "clues" about who it's about and giving interviews to start drama since the other person is also famous.
@@mayalejandra agreed
"Taylor Swift is so obviously sick of having her love life slapped across the tabloids" Proceeds to sing about it every song
every singer these days sings about their love life. stop singling her out god dammit.
OMG!!!!! The ADS!!!!!
That's sad. I wish we could all just get along.
I just saw Iron Man bc I watched this clip and kindda felt like watching the beginning agan
casually sees my town in the weather thing on cara's interview.....
I knew at 4 years old The Three Stooges weren’t really hurting each other. AND I didn’t become the slightest bit violent.
Some journalists were not graduated and did'nt undergone work ethics.. That's why their questions sucks..
RDJ handled that as a boss btw
Yeah - the smile, and then, "Bye !"
Carla😂😂 whoopp..such a disrespect..
It was very unwise for Rome to taunt Jim Everett. He is a large man (6-5, 215 in 1994). Rome...? Not so much.
RDJ you rock!
To a point I agree with Tom Cruise. The pharmaceutical industry would like us all to believe that we are "chemically imbalanced" and we need their drugs to become balanced. On the other hand, if it's a pseudo-science, what the heck does he think Scientology is?
Cognitive dissonance...
That RDJ response is the fucking best!!
And they still wonder why celebrities arent happy if they have everything... They have to deal with idiotic questions every day.
Now we all know who's the Top and who's the Bottom at the Eyes Wide Shut parties when Jerry and Larry take part!!
Rishida jones portion is cut short of the best part... if anyone who’s watch the original you know the interviewer would not drop her skin tone. Pretty sure jones had to finally tell her , who her dad is.
Cruise & Downey rock the casbah...
"I am Ironman". 😅😅😅
You guys dropped the ball on this one, not putting Mike Tyson in there on CP24
So funny seeing Robert be a tough guy. He was the younger guy in our crew who always sucked up to hang out with us. He almost always had some weed, so we accepted him.
He moved on to a better future and you still stuck in tge past wishing if he just remenber your name
Taylor has such an appropriate response to that super provocative question
