This is one of my favorite tunes of Stevies. Blistering solo that just cuts heads. This is him after recovery full of fire and brimstone...at his peak!!! Gives me chills everytime. To give credit where it's due..he had the best backbone behind him too. Stevie was a glorious freak of nature!!
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 The audible "aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh" right before he rips into the first solo...Wow! A release of pinned-up passion, emotion and soul. To hear this same expression of emotion, watch Texas Flood at Austin City Limits 1983. Very audible and full of passion.
Or leave my girl alone in that same concert. He actually gave us 2 "ahh" but one of them was extra angry, and then he just goes on to play the most furious solo ive ever heard, and played it faster than the speed of light too.
God, he was just so good. The same thing happens every time I listen to him, sheer excitement, amazement, pleasure, but then always followed by some sadness that he is no longer here. Thanks for the continued great reactions Julio. :)
This was at a point when Stevie was clean of Drugs and his music showed it. The Album this song came from is In Step. Listen to the entire album. Just so much feeling and energy. You should listen to Riviera Paradise from the album. Will show you an entirely different side of Stevie.
I love how much fun he had at this show...I watched it as a kid and it was the first time I'd ever heard him...I was 7 at the time...and I asked my mom, "who's that?" She said "baby, that's Stevie Ray...be quiet." Since then, I've been a loving fan.
I was thinking how joyous he looked during this song. When he jumped back into that first solo, his whole body was grooving. Like he was dancing and playing at the same time. Miss him so much.
Saw this on pbc back in the day.. my step dad love it! Always asked him do u remember this concert? Always said yes lol.. now I'm way more advanced in him for guitarist music it's weird.
Ahhh... our daily dose of SRV is always time well spent... Thanks, Julio! Stevie wrote this with Doyle Bramhall in the late 1980s. Great lyrics IMO... "Caught up in a whirlwind, can't catch my breath Knee deep in hot water, broke out in cold sweat Can't catch a turtle, in this rat race Feels like I'm losing time, at a breakneck pace Afraid of my own shadow, in the face of grace Heart full of darkness, spotlight on my face There was love all around me, but I was looking for revenge Thank God it never found me, would have been the end [Chorus] Walkin' the tight rope, steppin' on my friends Walkin' the tight rope, was a shame and a sin Walkin' the tight rope, between wrong and right Walkin' the tight rope, both day and night [Verse] Lookin' back in front of me, in the mirror's grin Through eyes of love I see, I'm really lookin' at a friend We've had all our problems, that's the way life is My heart goes out to others, who are there to make amends [Chorus] We have been walkin' the tightrope Trying to make it right Walkin' the tightrope every day and every night Walkin' the tightrope bring it all around Walkin' the tightrope from the lost to found Walkin' the tightrope stretched around the world Walkin' the tightrope save the boys and girls Walkin' the tightrope let's make it right Walkin' the tightrope do it, do it tonight Walkin the tightrope"
I watch a few reaction channels, and you do a good job not interrupting to much, and giving your honest opinion. If you don't like something say it. Stevie is still the goat. The reason I watch these is to see somebody's first reaction to something I love like most viewers. Plus a fellow musicians opinion is fun to hear. Thx for realizing its about the artist, not the host!✌🎸
Just cant get enough SRV like you...there is one ive never seen reacted to or heard much and that is Willie The Wimp live at a festival in Denmark..hope you can find it..you will love it..its different!🎸😊💞
I really like Tightrope, has a little regae feel to it maybe? Stevie has version of “Crossfire” with another band on show “Night Music” (recommend the 5 1/2 minute YT video-not as much host intro) 😎🕊
Ive heard that sooo many times.... but its always is sooooo awesome the message listen to his message as far as guitar playing lol... THE GOAT Ps.... ACDC fan your sound is excellent...
He played in Kalamazoo Mi. on August 24th, I lived about 30 minutes from there. I thought there would be plenty of other times to see him later in a concert, so I didn't go, three days later he passed in the helicopter crash.
If you haven't heard of Taj Farrant...you should look him up on RUclips and maybe do a reaction to one of his videos....being an avid SRV fan for decades and finding Taj has literly changed my entire outlook on life and death and it's beautiful😀
I would love to see a reaction to Pink Floyd's Live Pulse: "Coming Back to Life" and the epic guitar solo from the same concert, "Comfortably Numb"... Hey Julio, hoping all is well with you today my brother? Thanks for the videos!
Love this video, but what you did to Colby Covington in Miami was awful-Will Smith also included here with you. Great vid. Will Smith fell off the tightrope last night and he was only a few feet off the ground.
He was the and still is the GOAT !
I don't subscribe to many things, but "Daily dose of SRV" won me over. That's man with good taste right there.
You see a man and a guitar become one.. !

Yes, very definitely!

feel the same way, hit the nail on the head
Yes, all the music he never got to play!! So sad...
Agree, 1000%

Lookin' back in front of me, in the mirror's grin
Through eyes of love I see, I'm really lookin' at a friend
We've had all our problems, that's the way life is
My heart goes out to others, who are there to make amends
[Chorus]
We have been walkin' the tightrope Trying to make it right
Walkin' the tightrope every day and every night
Walkin' the tightrope bring it all around
Walkin' the tightrope from the lost to found
Walkin' the tightrope stretched around the world
Walkin' the tightrope save the boys and girls
Walkin' the tightrope let's make it right
Walkin' the tightrope do it, do it tonight
Walkin the tightrope"
That little slide, chord ,picking thing he did @ 4:31 min. Is AWESOME.

Such a great groove with this song! Thanks for this!
Check out SRV Dirty Pool live at Montreux '82. That right hand rhythm is crazy in that performance. Like a machine.
Would love it if you reacted to Stevie Ray Vaughan's "You Better Leave My Girl Alone". Thanks!
Mosaic Rose Yesss! Cool song, esp Austin show 1989!😎
I agree Shirley! :)

Hi Mr. J., And get him a Msg., "Do Not Get On That Helicopter".. ♠W.G.
About time to switch to SRV fan. Jim

Julio, reacciona a un concierto que hizo SRV. presidential se llama. Dura 26 minutos. Es increible
The only one who played at Stevie's level would be Jimi Hendrix himself, imo.
Little sister live with srv and healey
