Stevie went through a time that the industry tried to put him in more of a pop music genre but you could tell he seemed happier playing live ,doing 10 minutes of chickenfoot soup style winging it off the cuff music where he could display his emotions through his guitar unfiltered and unrestricted, his music is an event that you must see ,feel, taste hear and even smell to truly appreciate, it was medicine for the soul .
Stevie play 7 hours a day 7 days a week 365 day's a year. When he was little he used to sleep with his guitar. He did play in his sleep. He play behind his back over his head behind his shoulders in front and side to side horizontal on the ground with his teeth. And 1 handed. I say that's pretty good. No dout he was the GREATEST GUITAR PLAYER EVER ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET BAR NONE. He was born to play NO DOUT BOUT IT! ❤MY STEVIE! SRV 4EVER! THANK'S STEVIE! ❤YA'LL MAN❤❤
It's so refreshing to watch someone who truly appreciates great music. You get it and I appreciate you. Stevie gave us his soul in every lick and bend of the string . The complexity of what he does is just higher on every level .
Little wing was in 83. Stevie was DEEP in his alcohol and drug addiction. Tightrope was in 1989. Stevie was now sober and playing better than ever. Tightrope is actually about the struggle of addiction. When Stevie got clean, he was afraid that his guitar playing wouldn’t be as good. But when he started playing again, he said it felt like his whole life he’d been playing the guitar with boxing gloves on and that it felt like someone had finally taken them off.
The best version of this is the studio / album version imo, you can very clearly hear the genius. Stevie's ability really showed when he had no distractions.
Brings back some serious emotions when I see him. I was at that show as a 17 year old kid at the Elcambo in Toronto. Seen him front row in a tiny upstate NY venue with opener Johnny Winter. Last song Jimi Hendrix Voodoo child. two weeks later he was killed in the Helicopter and another great one gone.
Stevie Ray Vaughan had a really tough life from childhood, his father was a alcoholic abusive violent man, his older brother Jimmy Vaughan said his day took it out on Stevie Ray the most. Growing up with a mother who told me she never wanted me and beat me you grow up wondering what you did and why this happened, I myself fell into pills to numb the pain and Close my mind so I didn't have to think about it. Stevie Ray's story really touched my heart because like me we fought to survive and came out clean on the other side, when you was killed August 27, 1990 at the young age of 35 it broke my heart like alot if other Stevie Ray Vaughan fans. STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE GOAT.
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 THE goat of all goats That war cry at 10:48...pure emotion! **Leave My Girl Alone at Austin City Limits 1988** **Mary Had a Little Lamb at Austin City Limits 1989**
This is one of the most masterful performances of his, imo. His singular technical ability lets it just flow through him from whatever plane into which he's plugged. Sublime.
Little Wing is Stevie. It may be a Hendrix cover, but my first time hearing Stevie was this cover of Little Wing. And I literally, for real, can't listen to it now without getting all weepy. Such a tragic loss of both men. God, it's so sad. Edited to ask if you're a new reactor channel? I've seen so many but not you. You're new to me.
Think you did Voodoo Chile from THIS show(Austin City Limits).TRY Voodoo Chile,Live at El Macombo!!! MAYBE as good as the 1st one you wathed, just different! Good job, dude! You may want to put pics, posters, etc of your favorite artists.Yer good at this, but a background of musicians may help.Keep up the good work;I'll pray for you right now! PEACE GOD BLESS
I believe it's a man explaining to his guitar, it's purpose for existence. Or something like that. SRV, the guitar whisperer. Leave my little Girl Alone; Tin Pan Alley; ☮️to all
Check out 'Crossfire' On Night Music late nite show. David Sanborn's show w/ his outrageous band behind Stevie. Floors it with the late, great Hiram Bullock playing next to him... Terrific video, terrific performance by all members.
So glad to see you back again brother, I’m not getting notifications for you for some reason so I have to keep searching for you. As always, love your true reactions, keep them coming man, love ya.
Here's another great performance by Stevie for you to check out: Tin Pan Alley. This one will leave you so wrung out you'll need a cigarette afterwards! (no $hit) It's slower but dang does that guitar speak and cry! ruclips.net/video/nbFenz6UjYI/видео.html

In the simple commercial ad tag line… “ JUST DO IT “!!!!
I was interrupted writing: I meant, I feel sorry for the rest of the band. Stevie just steals the show!!!😍💖
It is 16 minutes of watching someone that is living in the church of SRV.
When he was 14,he was showing up college age guys who'd been in bands for yrs! PRODIGY

Thank you and thank you. I don't know why no notifications, but I'm still happy you find me every time.
The first one was in 1983 and I think the second one was either 88 or 89
Little Wing is a cover of a Jimmie Hendrix song. You should check it out.
you explained your experience of this exactly as my first time hearing this, as what is this noise
😂😂
Just to clarify, it's the greatest noise I've ever heard musically.
Here's another great performance by Stevie for you to check out: Tin Pan Alley. This one will leave you so wrung out you'll need a cigarette afterwards! (no $hit) It's slower but dang does that guitar speak and cry!
