    Timeless beauty.

A wonderfully crafted piece and a great first quality piece.
Personally I prefer it on leather. NATOstraps don’t do it for me, even though this one is expertly executed.

Simple and clean looking, but have to be honest in saying that at the price IWC asks for these, they don’t represent a good value proposition. 4.5K for a Sellita movement seems steep when you can get the handsome vintage style Tudor Black Bay 58 with an in-house caliber for less, unless you must have a pilot’s watch

Spot on. Couldn’t fathom paying that price for a Sellita movement no matter how much I like the watch itself. You could get a Hamilton with an ETA for $500.

Only idiots stop themselves from buying a nice watch because of movements. You don’t open your case back and look at the movement all the time, what matters is how the watch looks and feel on the wrist. A good movement worth nothing when the watch looks like crap.

@@pork6811 Umm…OK. You clearly have no concept of what is or isn’t a good watch…as only an “idiot” would make the comment you just made. You seem like a guy that would spend (waste) $5K on a Sellita, so this watch is perfect for you. Enjoy.

      @@michaelh.1627 I own this very watch .
Luxury watches are about the feeling they transmit and the movement plays little to no role in that. Of course a lot of watches will have arguably better movement, will be cheaper and as well finished as this one.
Will those watches transmit the same emotion as this one does?
To me that's not even close.
Absolutely all luxury watches are way overpriced if you only look at the materials and work involved and as soon as you go over a certain price the actual value is to be found somwhere else : image, legacy, history...
Casio and Orient are the only brands I can think of that can be looked upon through the prism of value.
So you can fool yourself thinking an
in-house brings you more, at the end of the day a black bay and a Mark XVIII roughly have the same production costs, wich is quite low but that's not what you are paying for.

@@marvinberwart Very well stated, Mr. Berwart. Despite my criticism of the movement of this watch, I really do find it attractive. I’m happy that you’re happy with it. And as you said, that’s really all that matters. Cheers.

Can you please release a video for ref. iw 324010. It is a 36 pilot that has been out on the market for some time and have yet come across a good review. BTW your reviews are very well done. No nonsense with a good balance of technical specs, and personal opinion. Thanks!
