Just wanted to jump on here because I don't think I explained myself well. As far as the baking sections of the videos, I would never take those out of the sewing videos, they will always be there. The baking and cooking videos would be extras for anyone who wanted them! Don't worry, I love the baking interludes too much to ever lose them, & I'm glad you guys do too!
14:34 multigenerational homes are super common for bipoc communities so it’s nice to see it more common/talked about. At least in Hispanic culture (my own) it’s very honorable to be able to take care of your parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, and cousins!
thank you SO much for leaving this comment, I was kind of nervous about talking about it (like I said I received a bit of judgement from people in my life), & I'm glad too it's becoming more normalized. Thank you again!
I appreciated this too. I think with the economy we will see more and more generational households and I think it’s great if everyone has a space and a healthy relationship. I know I wouldn’t have my home now if it wasn’t for our parents letting us live with them when we were first starting out. What a beautiful thing.
I really enjoy your baking interludes in the sewing videos! It feels like it creates a more immersive experience somehow? I would be sad to see those pieced off into a different channel because I'm not likely to watch an exclusively cooking video but again, really enjoy them as a part of the sewing adventures.
don't worry! I would always keep the baking in the sewing videos as well! I love them too much to part with them in the videos. They would just be additional cooking and baking for anyone who wanted it!
the way my jaw dropped when you mentioned secret sleepover society!! SSS/drawfee content is the best lighthearted background noise for crafting imo. it's so cool to hear you mention them!!
I found you this week. I recently got married and have gained some weight. I'm trying to get into sewing my own clothes more and I've really been enjoying your content. Thank you for putting it out.
Thank you so much for answering my question. What a fun and very thorough answer. It was so neat to hear all the things you have done, why you did or didn’t like them and where you found the most joy. We have a lot in common and I am so grateful the algorithm brought me to you. ❤️ I will probably end up costuming for dance and theatre and it was good to hear you enjoyed your time doing both. Also? Love your music choices and I can’t wait to listen to your book recommendations. We also just redecorated my daughter’s room two weeks ago in dark botanicals! I painted a mural and it turned out so fun. Highly recommend that vibe. If you renovate or do cooking videos and you decide to do those videos somewhere else, please let us know. I for one am happy if you add them here. I love all of that stuff. Thanks again Bre!
you asked SUCH a good question, & i didn't want to leave anything important out, so I'm glad it was helpful! Good luck in your schooling, your future sounds SO COOL! Let me know if you like the books, & yes i will definitely keep you guys updated, for now i think most of the different content will be uploaded to this channel! (also your daughter's room sounds SO cool, I want to try painting murals at some point but I'm a bit scared lol)
Great video and congratulations on hitting your milestone! I’ve noticed a lot of youtubers mentioning that shooting multiple angles add a lot of time to their projects but personally, I find the constant transitions rather distracting as it takes the focus away from the actual process.
Love your channel especially as your body is similar to mine. Your outlook is so cheery it's lovely, you seem very true to yourself. Flattering is a funny word isn't it? Does it means this item of clothing make their waist look good? I don't know. I maybe think 'I like my shape in this' ' I like how this item draws the eye'. I have being sewing my own dresses, blouses, nightdresses for nearly 3 years. I mostly only wear dresses. Abandoning non custom patterns (big 4 and Indie) is what allowed me to make vlothes that weren't always dissapointing. I use custom patters/self draft from a body block (simple bade pattern). I started by buying a simple dress pattern custom to my measurements from a lekala ($4) which fitted great, and I use that as a 'pattern block' to move darts/change to princess seams/change neckline/change sleeves/put different 100% circle skirts on the bodice so I have a mix and match set of patterns which all sleeves work with all bodies etc, so I'm essentially designing each dress/blouse etc myself. I learnt pattern manipulation form The Closet Historian on youtube to be able to move darts, necklines etc, and use circle skirt maths for skirts. The Sitchery's logical pattern drafting I enjoy too, using measurement to work out where to put a pocket etc. I love this community!
Criminally adorable and wholesome as usual ☺️ I love that you do so much with your mother and live together. Mine passed away recently and I inherited my dad. Before that they lived with my sister and nephew; honestly when you get along with your parents or are friends as adults it’s actually really mutually beneficial and comforting. Absolutely enjoy that time together for as long as you are happy doing so 💛💛 So excited to see what you have lined up for fall (halllloowweeEEENNNN PERSEPHONNNNEEEEEEE 🤩 ) and all the ways you will expand your channel! So exciting! I am a sahm mom so your weekly vids really make me perk up. I have no doubt you will keep skyrocketing in views and subs (Bree-on-uh 🤣🤣🤣)
omg thank you SO much for sharing, that was such a beautiful sentiment! & YES I'm so excited for Persephone part 2 as well, (might be a bit after Halloween but I have my design and most of my fabric lol)! & THANK YOU for leaving the pronunciation I am TERRIBLE at pronouncing names lol
I just found you like two weeks ago and have been watching my way through your content. You are amazing and so inspiring. Thank you for opening up so much.
One channel that has similar vibes (different content) is BabbityKate. I loved her comprehensive video of Kirsten the American Girl, she reviewed the books, made crafts and recipes associated with Kirsten. 👍🏻 Congrats on 6.5k!! Can’t wait to see more from you!
Your channel was instrumental in getting me sewing again. I'm plus sized and because of physical limitations it's extremely difficult for me to do any major tailoring - though I'm getting better. Have you ever bought patterns through Lekala? They have limited free patterns, but their paid ones are inexpensive (most are $4US and under) -and - you can order them custom sized to your measurements. They also have a collection of free standalone sleeve patterns for which you only need to plug in the armhole size and you can have whatever type of sleeve you prefer, at no additional cost.
i have never heard of Lekala, but they sound amazing & i will definitely check them out! & like i said i started this channel partially bc i wanted to get back to making my own clothes so i am SO glad the videos do that for others too!
I used Lekala for a custom fitted simple dress pattern that fit amazingly. Go for it! Was only £3 I use that as a block (base) to pattern alter it into anything I want. I used Closet Historian to learn to pattern altering using a block, but would 100% get other custom patterns from them.
@@IAmCraftingAgain I've bought a few patterns from them. I love how wide their selection is, and the pricing is excellent! And agree - they've got some choices that make terrific block starters. I usually add an inch or two to my measurements because I don't like my clothing very close-fitting. (Plus my weight fluctuates.) So far so good!
I really enjoy your video! Here we have a footwear brand collaborate with you,I think you align perfectly with our brand, but I can't find your contact information on other platform.Hope to get in touch soon!♥

@maybebre multi generation home for me too, I love that my daughter is still at home, she helps me, and I help her, ❤
Sounds like you have a fantastic loving family, sounds great living together. Especially having many people cooking, I'd love to have that.
