      Yes and Eucalyptus and all the others too... this album is all so perfect in itself. It's my go to album for over a year now.

      @@MyOtherChannel-zy3tf I thought when it dropped and I still believe, personally, that Frankenstein is their weakest and least passionate album. So I was bummed. But then they surprise release Laugh Track, a classic Ntl release and their best album since Sleep Well Beast. Not a single weak song. Hornets, Coat on a Hook, Tour Manager, Deep End… I could list them all. But the title track just might make it into my top 5 NTL songs ever. I can’t seem to get enough of it

    I love this song so much! FTPOF was the first album they released since I've started listening to them and it was so special to hear this album and this song for the first time after going through all their catalogue. The bridge and the drums kicking in are classic The National moments.

    Frankenstein is such an underrated album. Wish they'd release a live version of the album like they did with Boxer.

      I see someone had a completely different interpretation and I guess that’s how it is with lyrics. Personally, in the context of helping someone heal from a breakdown (especially preceded by the lines about being their nurse or something) I thought he was talking about making sure the other person didn’t metaphorically drift away and drown in their suffering. I don’t know if i care if I’m wrong cause I get so much comfort from that line. 😊

      @micheller. So this is it.
      His gal is unstable and he is trying to calm her down and chill her out.
      That line means that he can take care of her and keep her in close so she does not stray too far. He has that skill he thinks.

    The National is in my top 5 bands❤. But i gotta be honest. These last albums are shit. They are doing the same song Over and Over. They need to change. I believed now its a pivotal moment for the band, Either they become a mediocre band if they keep doing the same song eternally in every new álbum. Or they chop and change and evolve in new ways musically, to establish the greatness that we all think the band is. The coin is in the air bois.

      Bear in mind that this material started coming at a time when it was unclear if Matt was going to be able to climb back on the horse -of life, not just the band. It’s a pretty vivid snapshot that unfortunately a lot of us could relate to, and a pretty singular moment in time. That happens at times with musicians. I really don’t have a sense of where they go from here, and they quite possibly don’t either. But I’m grateful that they are still doing this, and I think I like these albums a wee bit more than some fans do. I’m not alone in that either.

      The National is going FANtastic on this tour. The fan response is spectacular.
      If you don't enjoy this or what they choose to play and do, then you need another favorite band to squash.

      @@MyOtherChannel-zy3tf You said it son. The band on Tour, the response of the fans on Tour. Im not talking about a tour , or the crowd. Actually im talking about all the contrary. The genesis of their music in the Studio in the practice room. When they are alone. Making new music. Im not squashing nothing. Just saying facts. Im not a passive cheerleader that celebrate anything. That they do. Try to find an opinion more with ur brain than ur Heart.
