    Thanks for the video. I just installed one of these. I strongly recommend feeding the cable UPWARDS from the hole in the frame, towards the seatpost clamp - no need to locate the cable with a pick though that little hole.

      Ha! I think 30 years as an electrician may have helped me with the cable threading aspects!

    Got a dropper post tried to install without looking at anything, messed everything up, found this video, thank you. You helped me so much! Sadly I did not take into consideration the kink and bought a 200mm dropper, fair to say its a little big.

    the kink in the tube is such a pain in the arse, it's funny how calibre was consistent with that one specific part of the frame 😂

    Threading the cable through the down post and out of the hole is a right pain... took me hours... I’ve a triple b which is pretty much exactly the same. The bar in the middle of the tube is a right arse... great video though. Thanks very informative

    Cut and straighten a wire coat hanger.... Push it through and tape it onto the cable. Then pull the whole thing through. Worked well on my marlin 7

    Thanks, I'm buying exactly the same bike, but on the dropper size u said 412 mm
    So it's gonna be:
    30.9 x 412? Or
    31.6 x 412?
    Thanks for the great movie!

    Nice video. I have a medium frame aswell. How tall are you because I'm not sure on what size dropper to get?

    Enjoying your series on the Bossnut, do you know if you can upgrade the rear hub to an SRAM XD as I have a spare GX 12 speed cassette, but it doesn't fir the existing hub! Thanks

    Bit of a pathetic question but.... did you fill the hole around the wire where it comes out of the frame? Obviously it's in a heavy dirt area --- any harm done with water getting in and whatever else do you reckon?

    • @yellowjerseybikes3278
      @yellowjerseybikes3278  4 года назад +1

      Yep. I used a square of gorilla tape, I believe you can buy KTM grommets that will fit.

    Hi, thanks for the vid. I have the same size bossnut, a medium, do you think the 150 long dropper post would fit it if it was sat as far down the seat post as possible? Thanks

    • @yellowjerseybikes3278
      @yellowjerseybikes3278  2 года назад

      Hi, it depends how high you need the seat, the measurements are on the brand X website, I picked this size to suit my inside leg.

  • @boomjunkie
    @boomjunkie 3 года назад

    Do you know if the travel can be adjusted so that the seat doesn’t come all the way back up to the full length? I have a 125mm travel, but ideally I’d prefer if it only came back up to say 100mm. Thanks

    • @yellowjerseybikes3278
      @yellowjerseybikes3278  3 года назад

      These droppers are infinitely adjustable, just lift your bum how high you want to go and let off the lever pressure.

    Is this the ascend || for external routing or did you buy the internal routed one

    • @yellowjerseybikes3278

      This is the internal routed one.

    • @chkn_bongo4512

      Yellow Jersey Bikes how come you bought the internal cable routing when the bike has external cable routing

    • @yellowjerseybikes3278
      @yellowjerseybikes3278  4 года назад

      @@chkn_bongo4512 the 2020 Bossnut has internal routing. The seat tube has a hole ready for the cable to run through. An external cable dropper doesn't run through the seat tube, it would run down the outside of the seat tube.

    Can anyone help me. I have large one of those and trying to get a dropper post with a stack height of 180mm will a 412/125mm drop x ascend work?

    • @yellowjerseybikes3278
      @yellowjerseybikes3278  3 года назад

      You can search the dimensions online and work out the stack height from them.
