In, "Coming to America," when Eddie Murphys character gives the homeless guy the McDonald's bag full of cash he walked the other guy saying, "Randolf! Randolf! Wake up!" to which the other guy says, "I'm still not talking to you Mortimer!"
I knew someone was going to point out Coming to America. I was hoping someone would. This is a GREAT movie! And that Eddie Murphy added the old guys at the end of the movie was a FABULOUS call back. I think it’s one of the best I’ve seen Every actor chosen was a PERFECT fit.
Back then when movies were movies and actors were actors. One could gladly couhg up 20 bucks at the box office and additional 10 for coke and pop corn. Today's movies are pathetically worthless and actors are nothing more than talentless individuals from different backgrounds.
@@Jasmine-lj8qw Well duh. It's wrong to do....depending on the context. This WAS 1983. It's cringey at its worst. Do that today and you'd have no excuse. It doesn't make sense to get mad at a 1920s person regardless of race to say the n-word but obviously it's fucking stupid and deplorable if done now. Presumably yallz are right-leaning and I hope that the right is not guilty of the same shit they say the left keeps on doing: removing context from the discussion.
@@avakiin6614 first of all, please don't address me with "duh" it rude , thank you. Secondly, it's not even tip of the iceberg cringe, Jim crow, where blackface originally started was cringe and that's putting it mild. This classic example timeless entertaining movie of you are just like any body else funny life lessons possible criminal plain sight rich and poor people situation straightforward reaveling human nature movie
This is a superb film. I never get tired of watching it. It has an excellent cast, is well written and discusses the age old polemic of nature versus nurture. Stephen Pinker book the " Blank Slate" discusses this in detail.
The theme of this movie show you that we are alike but sometimes you be victim of two foolishly egoism villains plus society problematic of thinking are different but it not truthful fact of life lessons funny entertaining sarcastic straightforward teamwork unlikely unperfected people movie
Lets not forget how David on Morton street acted . No regard for human life. There are some good David's n this world and I would NEVER TRUST DAVID FROM MORTON STREET AGAIN
Those were the days when comedy was just plain comedy without the woke paranoia and people can be as funny without people getting offended. Yep, that was my era😂and my world till these woke “termites” started eating up the house and making it into a crumbling mess. That’s one world I’ll never miss once I’m gone.

One of my favorite cross overs.
To which Mortimer continues : "We're back" (Implying that they're back in business) 🙂
