    KJ, the most reliable source!

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced Thomas Christiansen is the man we'll end up with. Surely he's amongst those being interviewed, and it's a really great fit on both sides at this point in time. Panama has little hope of doing much in their group at the Copa and Christiansen must know this. Will they even qualify for the WC? On our side, we'd be wise to get a coach that knows CONCACAF, since we clearly still have some work to do there to establish ourselves as the better of both Mexico and US. Christiansen obviously checks that box and is very experienced on the world stage outside the region.

If the search for a head coach were a football match; you can feel the goal coming.

As crazy as this sounds I can see Jonathan David going to PSG as a replacement for Mpappe .

I admit, anything but an American coach. Prefer Smyrniotis over Jesse Marsch for playing style. Although I like Afshin Ghotbi and he's pretty much American.

I think the problem is when Canadians generally think about American coaches it's people like Berhalter, Arena, Marsch and Bradley and you wouldn't want any of them. The US pool of known managers isn't deep but if the right person is there I'd take them.

@@boomslangCA I remember B.J. Callaghan being really good in one of the tournaments. Compared to Berhalter, Callaghan's play style was much more energetic. If he comes in, I'd be satisfied.

Agree. I'd rather take a shot with Smyrniotis than settle for Marsch.

@@boomslangCA Oh, Hugo Perez is available! Awesome El Salvador coach. He can do a lot with little, and he can work in a chaotic federation. I'd be happy with him. Begrudgingly, he's American.

Thierry Henry now!!!!!!! Won World Cup with France and assistant with Belgium knows everything about World Cup football teams and how those organizations are structured.

Idk man. Back in Montreal Impact, he got mic up and was seen too busy arguing with his own players during the game rather than giving them instructions

@@HuanNguyen-sq3gr Thing is I know he’s not a great manger but he knows proper World Cup team organizational structure with previous leaders we had a lot of hockey people in the association for some reason then we had soccer people with little to know organization experience for some reason. Because of all that Canada soccer did terrible deals on branding, merchandise, tv deals etc. i don’t gotta let you know you probably know all the terrible things we’ve done not to mention we barely organize friendlies with top football countries. While USA, Mexico, Australia are all doing it that’s why John Herdman left he said Canada wasn’t serious. With Thierry Henry he played with France and was an assistant with Belgium he definitely can fix all these organizational issues he can tell top leadership hey you guys need to do this you guys need to do that etc. and he would be respected I think John Herdman said a lot of the same things but he’s not respected because in football world he’s kind of a nobody even though the advice is great with Thierry he got the respect because he’s one of the best footballers to ever play not to mention dual nationals if you’re a dual national and Thierry Henry calls you saying play for my team you’d more likely listen than if John Herdman said it. Once we fix all the organization problems then yeah get a new manager but first we need to fix the foundation this association is a joke right now to be clear not the players the players are great but organization is a joke.

Sorry; but I totally disagree with K.J., who I very much respect, when he said that Canadians disregard Canadian stars in all sports when they play in the U.S. or other places in the world.
K.J., Canadian fans separate league play from International play. When Crosby plays for Canada & wins gold, as he did in Vancouver, he is celebrated as much as any star ever. The reason why McDavid is celebrated more than McKinnon is because he is the better player, despite McKinnon also being a great player.
Everyone that I know loves to follow Bedard too, but they'll still boo him when he plays versus their own Canadian teams.
Most Canadian hockey fans can't wait to watch Crosby, McDavid, McKinnon, Marner, Makar, Marchand, Bedard etc... play for Canada in the 4 Nation cup next February, regardless of where they usually play.
The same can be said for our great Canadian basketball players. Yes, we all cheer for the Raptors; but make no mistake about it, we can't wait to see SGA, Murray, R.J. Barrett & the rest of our Canadian players, play in the Olympics this summer.
It's true for soccer too. Yes people will cheer for their 3 Canadian teams; but nothing is more exciting than when our Canadian lads will get together to play in the Copa Americas & the next World cup, no matter where they play during the season.
The number of 'Views' that you receive here on your RUclips page, when you discuss our Canadian soccer team, versus other topics, reflects that support.

100% agree. Maxine Crepeau is booed mercilessly when he plays against the Whitecaps. Yet, I can assure you, all will be forgiven when he is in BC Place wearing the jersey for Canada.
