    discipline of the desire, ego and soul is the true freedom. Letting vien carnal desires roam freely is not freedom. Discipline of the self from food, sexual feelings, anger, jealousy, envy, gluttony, hoarding, possessiveness etc is the true freedom of this world.
    The biggest and hardest battle/war that man fights is the fight with himself.
    May AllahSWT give us the strength and resilience to fight the self and the wisdom to understand what we should be fighting and keep us on thr haqq of Islam Ameen.

    The worldly things are not bad but only to utilise them how Allah has ordained. Wealth is a blessing when utilised correctly.paying zakat is connected with wealth. No wealth, no zakat but there is commands for paying zakat. Allah says in the Quran that He provides limitless provisions to those whom He wills. Allah also mention of the different means of life also as a blessing like cattles which provide us food, convince, clothing etc and Allah says be grateful.

    I would have to politely disagree about the determinism claim, yes what we earn and eat are in Allah's hands, but to say that we just worship and bam Allah will provide is not logical, we have to work and earn, Allah won't help those who don't help themselves. I'm sure I am misinterpreting the Imam, but if that is what he meant then i would have to take the position against 100 percent determinism. If we are in control of our destiny, i.e (Allah has allowed us to be in control of our destiny), then our actions and their fruit are direct rebuttal of determinism. On top of that if everything is decided then why would Allah create the dream/test we reside in? Determinism exists yes, however not in sense of the extreme mentioned in the video. Its illogical to not work hard for earning wealth for the sake of survival and just worship Allah. Rather to do both simultaneously and giving each your time and effort.

    Third point is non-sense. Islam doesn't ask you to donate all your wealth and be a sufi. Rather Allah says in the Qur'an: "Kind speech and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. And Allah is Free of need and Forbearing" Quran 2:263.
    It is better to say good words than to give something that you will regret later.
    I doubt whether these are genuine words of Imam Ghazzali. Most likely made up by this channel.

    •  6 лет назад +2

      Binu Jasim The prophet gave his ghanima to charity. He didn't possess much. Also most of Sahabas gave a lot of their wealth or at least spent it on the sake of God and helping others.
      Anyway it doesn't mean literally giving everything up... but rather don't accumulate unnecessary wealth.
      God knows best... salam.

    • @BATF4P
      @BATF4P 6 лет назад

      Binu Jasim the Quran is God's rulings and the prophet's life is the best example of adhering to those rules. Look into how the prophet lived and you will understand how important it is to feed the poor. I understand where you are coming from in the sense you should not give if it would put you worse off (so long as you pay your zakaat) which ofcourse you don't have to but know that God will reward those who do with the best of rewards.

      Proven to what? Your mind intellect and consciousness? Do you really think you and your mind can fathom and encompass the creator of this universe who manage affairs of everything from atoms electrons to galaxies and stars without any help or effort? Do you think he is something whose 'existence ' can be "proved"? Do you realise this mind and intellect are his creation and gift?

    • @PennyDreadful1
      @PennyDreadful1 4 года назад

      @@HaroonKhan-tl9qj That's a nice sentiment! And must give your own life meaning as it gives you a sense of things having meaning beyond yourself!
      But there is just no proof of it. You are the one assuming you know more of the vast intergalactic universe in which we are but small part than I or any other human does.
      I don't know if there's a god. It's just extremely unlikely.
