Dennis Belfield, the bass player was an original member of Rufus and even recorded Rags to Rufus with the hit Tell Me Something Good prior to departing the same year it came out.

So Dann Huff has been on AB twice.

Dann is an amazing guitarist for sure. I know him for his studio work more than as a touring guitarist. Funny thing is Van could’ve played those parts himself he just didn’t want to work that hard haha.

@@chrishinton9209 when you say you know him for his studio work, are you saying that you've been in the studio with Dann?
The reason I ask is I've been trying to find someone who has been close enough to Dann or his guitar that can tell me what kind of strings and picks he currently uses these days. Even past info would be great from the '80s or even the '90s. Up till now for me it's just been guessing or process of elimination has to what he has used. I have the same pickups as he would use between his 62 Fender and his yellow Tyler. JB bridge and hot stacks for the neck and mid, with Dean Markley strings 9-42.
