- Set and costume designer Bunny Christie explains the process of designing a show for the theatre. Using her sketchbook and model box for The Comedy of Errors as examples, she shows how a designer works to translate a director’s interpretation of a play into a visual world for the production.
Teachers at UK schools can show The Comedy of Errors and other NT productions in their classroom for free - visit nationaltheatre.org.uk/schools to find out how.

Why is it important to consider everything that is put on stage and seen by the audience?
What does Bunny Christie (Designer for the National Theatre, UK) suggest you write down about each scene before you start designing?
What does Bunny Christie do for research when starting a new design?
What is the difference between drawn stage designs and model sets?
I NEED ANSWERS PLEASE
ok 1) to get budget since the audience is expecting something marvellous 2) to write down a grid into a notebook and work methodically; consider the time or place the play is set in 3) she researches past films and photographs 4) model sets are physical 3D structures, and you can picture it being the real set and experiment whereas drawn stage designs are non-3D and the only way to alter it is to use a rubber

1:39 You said it! some of the best set designers I know can operate on a very small budget.
However. This is not low budget.
From school in england?
Brilliant design and I really prefer this steampunk-postmodernist-dystopian look. Wonderful. Greetings from amusic composer from The Netherlands :-)
