Acting wise the movie is good BUT i don't like how they (tried) to whitewash sanjay dutt's image. Don't think people are that fool to believe he just wanted to "protect" his family
apart from controversies in the story of this movie , Ranbir's acting is top notch in this too

It was independence day yesterday. Was hoping you would start Sardar Udham since you promised. Wanted you to start without any gap from Rang De Basanti since you would still be in the feels. But you watched some other movie and then I thought today you will start at least but today you started Sanju. So now again for 2 more days no Sardar Udham. This is disappointing and sad. The continuation would have impacted a lot. 😢

A responsible note - this movie was solely made to whitewash his image and justify his crimes by fooling the audience with the lamest excuse ever. A section of India is completely blind and goes gaga over these actors who are literally criminals of horrible crimes, and these actors obviously use their money connections stardom to get away from punishment.
Sanjay Dutt was jailed for keeping illegal weapons and arms which had link with serial 1993 Mumbai blasts, under TADA ( Terrorist and Disruptive Activities) Act.
So its not a small thing. And I absolutely despise a part of Indian audience for their naivety and blind belief on these actors. Ex- Salman Khan also a criminal of two big crimes, but escaped punishment. And again like him his fans are bully too. So ya.
